- 1v1 Fight Gear takes you into their production facility to watch something that has virtually never been seen in the Western world - the building of a pair of world class boxing gloves. This process is known to only a handful of living Americans, and there's not another video like this anywhere on the internet. Our purpose is to show you how difficult this entire process is, and what kind of technical skill is required to create these amazing boxing gloves. Please contact us at info@1v1fightgear.com with any questions or comments.
One of the most beautiful videos I have ever seen. I can't wait to get a pair.
I hope chin boi enjoys his new custom gloves
This was an absolute pleasure to watch. The craftsmanship that goes into making these gloves is amazing.
Happy to see a glove manufacturer in the States.
I had an idea that the making of boxing glove is not easy but, after watching this video I realised that the process is strenuous and requires great skill. Thanks for the video
Man this type of works seems insanely stressful like imagine just one wrong stitch one wrong hit with the scissor as you're going in to cut something and you just cut a put a hole in the glove after you finished with all the other work and u gotta re-do the entire thing. Now I know why these gloves cost so much...
You're exactly right. Over the years, I've learned how to fix more and more things I previously thought were unfixable, but still stuff happens that forces me to have to remake the glove or disassemble them to replace the mistake. The worst is when it happens when the glove is almost finished, so that's when you have to be ultra careful.
Wow now I really understand why boxing gloves are so expensive , Making a single glove requires so much concentration and hard work and patience as well , And as these gloves are hand made they are the best and even last longer , Definitely worth every penny 😊😊😊
Truly the best boxing gloves no doubt
The attention to details is just amazing.
Why has nobody made a crafting guide book for boxing gloves?
I would buy that.
That's a little bit like asking why no one has published the formula on making Coke or Pepsi! This craft is more closely held than most state secrets! No one wants to create potential competitors I suppose.
@@1v1FightGear Thats probably true. Although there are books about how to build houses, furniture, how to make games etc. I mean for a lot of things there are "DIY books and guides" it still doesn't mean it will be as good as if a pro did it, yes it might save money that's the idea but quality and time is the compromise.
I think when my next pair of gloves wears out I'm gonna have to dismantle them and see if I might be able to make myself a pair of gloves 😂.
@@timonidas4534 Heffle I got two torn gloves that were cheaply made. No idea what imma do with those
@@anti1training hahaha 😂. I suppose some sense of the schematics sizing and how to put them together.

Outstanding craftsmanship! Keep up the amazing work👍
Hey Jason, Lorna was talking about you today and told me to take a look. It's impressive what you've done. I wish you all the best.
Thanks Bob, hope ya'll are well!

Great video. I am waiting my pair and so excited. Boxers said that is number one hight quality gloves now.
Fly, dinardo, no one shows your detail. Truly inspired to unstitch and restitch gloves to learn.
Damn I'm impressed. I'm definitely gonna treat myself to a pair come this Christmas
Me too! I'm earning to buy a pair of Venum boxing gloves
Incredible. I love the time and quality that goes into making each glove. So much respect to the workers who probally get paid nothing usually women so thank you 🙏.
and lowlife like Floyd Mayweather just take for granted.
Wow, what an art form. I'm somewhat surprised boxing gloves aren't more expensive then they are.
i pay 450 for winnings. 200 for reyes. i wouldnt be mad if it were more
Dudeeee, the only affordable ones for me are the gloves that are around 2,000 pesos
@@hsjshsjahdksjsbs3116 if you like the gloves than cool. theres some good gloves for 100$. its a good investment tho to buy Winnings. Amazing quality and comfort.
@@Szt90 Yeah but That’s outrageously overpriced given the other options. Winning might be the best, but they’re not 4x better than an average pair of Thai gloves.
Excelente trabajo, una de mis pasiones también son los guantes para boxeo, igual que uds, también los fabrico en mi país, saludos desde Lima - Perú...
Boxing doesn’t exist in Peru
I think that the price of boxing gloves don't seem that bad when you look at the process, it takes a lot of skill to make a glove that feels great to wear, strike with and looks amazing in general..
chinboi tho xD
that guy is gonna break someone's glass chin
Excelente trabajo algun dia me gustaría tener un taller como este y poder echar andar mi sueño
This is beautiful... Very impressed. I'm just now looking into making my own gloves.
Did you ever start making them? My wife wants to make me some as a hobby. Where would you get the pattern or template?
@@richardyocum-qi7db did your wife give it a shot? if so how did they turn out?i want to also
TBH, you are the god father of gloves not Dinardo
Greetings, I really like the material with which you make the gloves... where can I get that material with those bright and vivid colors ? And is that material real leather? Thank you
What do you use for printing the custom name and decals on the gloves.
heat transfer vinyl and a graphtec plotter/cutter. I also do embroidery and screen printing, depending on the requirement.
Beautifull craftmanship. Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic work,well done 1v1Fight Gear.
I am very very interested in learning everything on making such a boxing glove.I love your work and would love to give me guidance/suggestions/advices/recommendations etc.

wow just for making boxing gloves they need that intense intro.
How long did it take you to learn this skill / trade / craftsmanship
So nice to watch, appreciate the worksman ship, do hope you get some massages as I imagine your neck must get very sore.
Beautiful
I would love to learn how to do this, any apprenticeship?
Hey, sorry I'm just now seeing your comment. I'm not doing any apprenticeships, at least for the time being. Thanks!
@@1v1FightGear No worries! Thank for you the response- love your craft!
They look nice
Do you offer any tutorials on how to make gloves? I’d be willing to pay to learn how to or do you have any resources for someone wanting to learn?
No, sorry, I’m not willing to create competition. However, I will tell you how I did it: I made a business arrangement with a Pakistani manufacturer to provide me a complete video of them making a pair of gloves, hired an experienced stitcher, bought an industrial machine, and spent 6 straight months full time with a laptop next to the machine learning how to sew them. It took another 3 years of continuous full time work till the gloves became what I would call high quality.
@@1v1FightGear thank you,I really appreciate it.
you may ask IVI to offer you an apprenticeship.
@@superfatbobtail thanks for the advice, but i think he’s not willing to do that but it’s ok.
@@mc_mixedmedia learn leather crafting, man. Through this, you’ll start to build the skills to tackle a project like this.
Wow thats amazing and that take a lot of work in 6 hours
what a beautiful thing! Please, how did you make this "sticker" with the personalized name? Then did you warm up in the glove? incredible
what is the material used to make this red sticker?**
@@rennancunha3296 it's heat transfer vinyl, designed using Adobe Illustrator and cut out using a plotter/cutter machine
@@1v1FightGear congratulations on your work sir, I'm a fan!
I tried to do it in a pair of gloves that I have but the sticker came off haha, I believe it was wrong in the temperature. Could you tell me what the ideal temperature for leather gloves would be? Many thanks for the reply.
That thumb look good on padding if they put a little more in on the top for no hand problems definitely will be a pick up for some sparring
Actually padding looks very good check website id say good sparring glove
@@209team2hola,que tipo de relleno tienen esos guantes?
Have the gloves been accepted by the commisions? What makes these different then a Grant pair? Or everlast?
Hey, sorry I'm just seeing this comment. I've not given any fight gloves to the commissions yet, I tried to at the start of the pandemic but the key ones (CA, NV, NY) all shut down, and lately I've been too busy to make fight gloves, since each commission requires several pairs. When I was making gloves for adidas (2018-2021) I had fight gloves approved by all the major commissions as well as the BBBC over in the UK so I'm pretty familiar with the process, but all my current work is coming from the training side of the house, not the [sanctioned] pro fights, so I don't feel any urgency to get it done.
Jason, I think you should wear an all-leather apron. Like those English blacksmiths .
Joe Cue thought about it many times. Problem is that it’s 85 in my shop with 95% humidity. Welcome to Florida!
@@1v1FightGear Lord! I have a good friend who makes pool cues in Fort Lauderdale . I visited him a few years back. His dehumidifier collects gallons of water per day. He has to maintain 50% humidity so the woods don't swell. Perfect climate for you would be near Disneyland here . 80 degrees at 45% about 200 days a year.
Can’t wait to order my pair! Your still shipping right ? @jason
Yes indeed
Good Job sir

Amazing
My I ask an dum questions if I look at the old fites the boxes bleed quicker then to day fiites is that the old gloves were harder then today gloves or had the old boxsers had more punch then to days boxsers
That's an interesting question. I think maybe the leather had a different surface texture back then, or maybe the gloves were harder than the more protective gloves used today.
Older gloves had far less padding than today's gloves do. They were more like 2-4 ounces rather than the 8 ounces that are used professionally today. This means that even "smaller" punches like jabs hurt a lot more than today's gloves.
Is it true that metallic colours are painted on rather than dyed like solid colours which is why black gloves tend to be more durable when it comes to flaking and cracking of the leather?
And are your gloves guaranteed to not flakes off or crack with your mettalic offerings if one was to use baby soap and apply leather conditioning (if itwill it even absorb the solution) on it?
@peejuu Metallic leather is created either by painting on the leather, or adhering metallic foil to the leather. Foil is the most common way and the most visually appealing IMO. As far as I know, Winning is the only brand that uses painted leather, and as good as their gloves are (very good!), their metallic leather is just not that impressive. All other major brands use foiled leather, but neither foil nor painted metallic leather lasts for long - both will crack and peel over time, depending on use. My Italian metallic leather is very strong but even it will deteriorate over time, though the leather underneath will be fine for a while longer. If you want true durability, and you train hard and frequently, you need to avoid metallics for the striking area of the glove.
@@1v1FightGear thank you so much for an such an informative reply also would you happen to know why is that white leather gloves seem to crack faster and flake off (around the stress points like the finger compartment) compared to black or blue for example?
@@peejuu Hmmm no idea, I've never seen that to be the case so I wouldn't have an answer for you

Wow, are all proper boxing gloves hand made? Blows my mind to think that something remotely similar could be made by machines. Except maybe Neverlast gloves cos they suck lol.
All boxing gloves are made pretty much like in this video - using various types of sewing machines. There’s no magical shortcut, it has to be done this way.
Wow nice i am golab mekar from nepal 10 aers acpirence.
