Connecting the horsehair foam pad to the Peacekeeper bag glove.
We created this video to show an interesting portion of the glove making process. On the Peacekeeper glove, as with our pro fight gloves, the horsehair foam pad is built as a complete unit encased in liner fabric and then attached to the glove. This differs from other gloves like our Pro Trainer Elite (PTE), in which the foam is inserted into the glove behind a fabric liner that’s been sewn into the full length of the glove.

Mike was kind enough to make this video for me, reviewing the gloves I've made for him over the last 5-6 years. This was an awesome surprise and I really appreciate the kind words from this absolute legend! Shoot me an email at jason@1v1fightgear.com if you'd like to design your own one-of-a-kind custom boxing gloves.

I wanted to address some feedback I’ve received over the last few months regarding the fingertip areas of the Peacemaker and the Pro Trainer Elite boxing gloves, specifically about the fingertip area. I also discuss Peacemaker padding characteristics and how to make adjustments.

Making Boxing Gloves

1v1 Fight Gear takes you into their production facility to watch something that has virtually never been seen in the Western world - the building of a pair of world class boxing gloves. This process is known to only a handful of living Americans, and there's not another video like this anywhere on the internet. Our purpose is to show you how difficult this entire process is, and what kind of te...

How to Install a Lace Converter onto Boxing Gloves
Просмотров 10 тыс.8 лет назад
Lace converters essentially turn a lace up boxing glove into a velcro boxing glove by connecting a velcro strap via the lace. The major benefit of using a lace converter is that you can have a quick on/off procedure for the gloves when you're doing a mix of training, something that is more difficult if working out by yourself with a pair of lace up gloves. A big bonus is that you can still use ...

In this video I discuss the various designs of foam used in most boxing gloves today, along with some benefits and drawbacks of each. I also talk about how we build our layered foam that goes in our American made boxing gloves - the only domestically produced boxing gloves in the US.

Greetings, I really like the material with which you make the gloves... where can I get that material with those bright and vivid colors ? And is that material real leather? Thank you
How long did it take you to learn this skill / trade / craftsmanship
Same the Winning ~!
@1v1 Fight Gear can you make them to fit Winning 14 oz. gloves? I mean, line up with the lace holes?
The best goves manufacturer 1.made in usa 2. Made in england 3.made in México 4.made in japan 5.made in thailand
can you write which brands are those?
Pakistan > Thailand...
pakistan is better than japan and thailand
How much does a custom made boxing gloves from ya'll cost? And where to get buy a pair
All info can be found (and purchases made) at www.1v1fightgear.com. Thx
Gloves look amazing but it looks like only professional high level fighters can afford them unfortunately. Even the non-custom ones are $700. What are the differences between the more affordable ARK-1 Training Glove and the custom ones (besides being custom) are they the same other then the customizations?
Use of leather and padding. The custom ones are also handmade with Italian leather made in Florida rather than being mass produced in Pakistan for the Arks using genuine leather, the Arks are great tho if you have a budget, but the PKs the pricier ones rival winning in their longevity, protection and even quality
How long does it take to make one pair of boxing gloves
Anywhere from 6 hours to 8 hours, depending on various things like what graphics the customer wants, if I have foam ready to go vs having to make it then, etc
🔥🔥
Massive respect to your transpatency on how you structure a glove. Just curious to know what was your reasoning for not just sewing the neoprene flat to the insert as i would think that would solve any movement.
I think that the price of boxing gloves don't seem that bad when you look at the process, it takes a lot of skill to make a glove that feels great to wear, strike with and looks amazing in general.. chinboi tho xD that guy is gonna break someone's glass chin
Hi! I'm doing a research about the foam used in boxing gloves for university. Is there any chance of telling us it's medium dencity? We easily found out it's high dencity foam but we cant really find the numbers
For the primary foam, I have no idea about the density, it's a fairly dense latex foam.

What size are these gloves? Furthermore, do you have any up-to-date info on the bag gloves Chandler is speaking of here?
Can you tell me all of the materials
Good attention to detail. Thats a huge problem with the Everlast MX2's!!!! Which otherwise is a great sparring glove!!!! Anyways just ordered a pair of 1V1 gloves and the owner is really great to work with unlike Grant which is a pain in the butt!!!!!
Those are 12oz ? Look very compact
ayyyy thanks for putting this on RUclips too! like I mentioned on Instagram too, would love one of these vids on the PTE!
This is beautiful... Very impressed. I'm just now looking into making my own gloves.
Did you ever start making them? My wife wants to make me some as a hobby. Where would you get the pattern or template?
@@richardyocum-qi7db did your wife give it a shot? if so how did they turn out?i want to also
This was better than asmr
How can u fill the foam in the gloves
Amazing
What size needle and thread do you use?
Top thread is 90, bottom is 69 or 90, needle is either 18 or 20, usually 20
@@1v1FightGear nuchas gracias! 🤝
PLEASE NOTE: This video is very old and since most of the information doesn't apply to the way I've been making my foam the last couple years, I'm strongly considering taking the video down. However, there's some good general info in here that people may find useful, so I will probably keep it up for a while longer. However, please don't ask me any questions about these foams, at least in reference to 1v1 products, because they're no longer relevant at all. Thx - Jason
Thanks for leaving this up. I find it helpful
Muchas gracias 👍
What is the absorbent black cloth on the layered gloves made out of?
Don't remember - it was seven years ago and my foam is completely different now, sorry!
Please put all the process how to make it
Самая сложная операция )
can you desgn me a thumbless air fit glove in 8 ounce that is protective to my sparring partner as a 16 or 18 ounce?
Sorry bro, I wouldn't have time for that type of thing, got way too much glove work. Thx
Hi, Jason. That really helps with understanding padding. Which padding do you use for the ARK series?
This video is pretty old, for the last couple years I've been using a 3 layer system for my US made PTE, and the ARK-1 is using the exact same foam setup as well (and the same stitching pattern).
@@1v1FightGear so latex for all 3 layers?
My I ask an dum questions if I look at the old fites the boxes bleed quicker then to day fiites is that the old gloves were harder then today gloves or had the old boxsers had more punch then to days boxsers
That's an interesting question. I think maybe the leather had a different surface texture back then, or maybe the gloves were harder than the more protective gloves used today.
Older gloves had far less padding than today's gloves do. They were more like 2-4 ounces rather than the 8 ounces that are used professionally today. This means that even "smaller" punches like jabs hurt a lot more than today's gloves.
How much
All info is on the 1v1fightgear.com website. Thx

Here's a tip for people on a budget and don't want to spend the money on 2 pairs of boxing gloves for when you want different density and protection. Use knuckle guards underneath your hand wraps to add more protection. It feels like a whole new glove.
I hope chin boi enjoys his new custom gloves

@@StellarBoxer they are not
Made in the USA. Great gloves, great craftsmanship!
Do you make mma gloves
Not at this time. Thx
Awesome video, it's great hearing from professional fighters and not enthusiastic on how good these gloves are. Especially Chandler, a big puncher who you know puts real snap and pop on his punches talking about durability means a lot. Got my two pairs a few years ago and I haven't bought a new pair of any gloves since.
Are these PTEs or the Peacemakers?
The gloves shown in the video are PTE, but he does have a couple pairs of Peacemakers.
@@1v1FightGear I would also like a review about them, otherwise there is almost no information about them on the Internet
@@MrMihman001 check out “Jordan Miller on RUclips” and “csquared boxing”, they have done several reviews of both models of gloves that I make.
@@1v1FightGear I saw a review from Jordan, if you say that Michael has such gloves, it would be cool if he also gave a review about them, and I also wanted to know peacekeepers, they are suitable for working in spparings if by ounce 12
@@MrMihman001 Sorry I'm just seeing your comment - Peacemakers in their current horsehair configuration aren't good for sparring, but I'll be introducing a foam version available in larger sizes soon.
I had to re-upload the video at a higher resolution, so some comments were deleted along with the previous version of the video - Sorry! Feel free to re-post!
I hope you selling to Germany as well, if so, then this my next glove I will purchase. Great work.
Any way to replace or patch the inner glove liner? Have a pair that I'd like to continue using but there's a hole around the pinky area. I tried to stuff some microfiber with a nice adhesive but it's pretty difficult to do it well. Sucks that there's so little information on people repairing gloves.
Lopez is grest great
Love these gloves! Check out my unboxing and review on my RUclips channel. Also, ranked these gloves high in my favorite gloves of 2021
