I've been flying DJI o3s for years. Just picked up the skyzone pros primarily for flying tiny whoops and I love em. Image quality and penetration is good with the stock antennas though I have upgrades on the way. Long live analogue!
No one should be paying $600+ for analog goggles in 2024 lol my DJI V2s with an analog adapter is still amazing after all these years and you could buy used ones for cheaper than used analog. Its just crazy how expensive they are
I've been having this conversation in my head for a while now. I think I'm going to end up going with hd0 goggles, a Wi-Fi/analog module like the immersion RC or TBS fusion, and if I want I can add a walk snail receiver via HDMI.
I'm using the old 04X for about three years and I like it. The fan is getting louder, but it is still working. Since I updated the software, the image is much better. I use mix2 without a patch antenna and it works great. I placed the OSD elements according to my preferences and have no issues with it.
Great comparison. I've been using the EV300D's for years now and for analog, nothing better is needed for me. Surprised you didn't mention that the DJI Integra goggles were way cheaper than both of these options. It seems like digital is now cheaper than analog!
A lot of factors around Goggles are very personal, some good info Albert. I am currently using the Eachine e300o, which is a Skyzone 04x 'knockoff'(?) and pretty happy with them. Other than had the barrel power connection short out, so have to power them via USB. Still works though, but was strange. Cheers!
love seeing an analogue review in 2024! i really dont like the idea of being stuck with digital and having to mod back to add analogue. still running a tbs fusion module on my attitude v6s
Damn these are both way to expensive. Especially the orqa. $600 without anyway to even use them out of the box? That's nuts. The sky zone is definitely a better deal. But overall I'm glad I went HDzero as I got HD and analog for around the same price as the orqa.
I commented on the video you told me to. It’s called “cheapest fpv monitor???” From 8 years ago. Are there any compétents like in that video that would work instead of the eachine board?
Goggle reviews, always hard. Starting with everyone's face is different, and our priorities don't match each other. Both look like excellent goggles. Your insight should help people in their decision process. Happy flying everyone. 😎
I've owned the skyzone pro.. fortunately i can see the all screen in it.. but I'm not sure if the orca is better.. never experience fov of it.. from some antenna like the double lumenier, vas.. i finally used lumenier stub for both holes.. have been playing tiny whoops for several months like mob 7 mob 8 air65 air75
I'm using the Skyzone 04o pro, and I think they're a better deal than the 04x pro. They were $100.00 cheaper, with all the same features except a narrower field of view (42°) and 60fps hdmi as opposed to 100fps hdmi for the 04x pro. I don't use them for digital, so I don't need the higher rate on the hdmi, and the field of view is plenty wide for me.
Thank you. Even though I'm not ready for the price tag of a top model of goggles for analog, This review is useful to help think about attributes to consider. I'm currently looking to move from box goggles. For now, I'm debating between new EV200D and a used Fat Shark HDO. Thoughts? My only experience with binocular goggles is with DJI goggles 3, which I'm not sure yet if I'm a fan.
I'm not sure what you're looking for exactly. The EV200D and HDO are both good as well in their own ways but they also have drawbacks. But depending on what you want, what is "good" and "bad" could be opposite for you.
@ good point and I’m not looking for any specific answer or advice (other than perhaps anything obvious that I may not know). My point being some of info in this review is useful even when comparing other options.
Thank for the review! I abandoned my hdo2 for the orqa without regrets! The skyzone seem very good too, did you use it in 4:3 to see the corners of the screens?
I just got the Skyzone SKY04X PRO. range is -6 +2 I wish they were +6! At + 2 I just got the focus in ! 😮💨 A year or two I will be screwed maybe ( I am disappointment with the 52 deg view , way to wide I think. I only fly 4:3 (
I've had the original 04x goggles with dual receivers for a couple of years now and I still think they're perfect for my analog fleet. Great for HDZero modules as well.

I love my 04X. The quadversity on it is still an amazing feature.

Didn't think analog would be more expensive than DJI but the day is here.

I believe you can adjust the fan speed down on the Skyzone goggles. Via one of the menus. That should improve the fan noise issue.

I bought some months ago skyzone 04x pro and I think the signal is weak, vtx at 1600w I lost signal when I’m flying behind a building

Just got me some orqas. Yeah digital is about the same or cheaper. But man i miss the feel of some fine analog goggles
same here.

Interesting, thanks for sharing that info.
@@johnhanley9946 how are the goggles now i’m considering those
@jpc3874 They're very good, even with the stock antennas.
04o are apparently the eachine ev300o
@@Dawe957 I think they're different, my user manual says they're 1080p resolution, and they have adjustable focus instead of needing diopters.
Both are premium goggles ,some good points on the orqas , you would need to try a pair before stumping up for new as not to lose money.

Yes, I tried both in 4:3 and 16:9. 4:3 mode seems the best in both goggles for me.

It sucks man, every company buys the same diopters and screens from the same vendor. I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter if it's DJI, sky zone, whatever

I love orca. Futuristic Design and build quality is better
$800 for that analog goggle setup is kinda steep. The new DJI goggles N3 are only $229. Image quality so much better. I can buy three of those.
Thanks a bunch for all the info, Albert! 😊
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
