Mesh to Metahuman on the left. Custom Metahuman on the right, based off of a VFace scan from Texture.xyz. I finally got the wrinkle maps working (maybe too much).
@@JoeRaasch Great stuff, i really appreciate you sharing this process for free. Regarding metapipe, in the next days/weeks there should be a similar tool being released for free for Maya. Hopefully it's not as convoluted to use.
If you can, let me know when it's released, I'd love to test it out. While Metapipe is convoluted, it works! Hopefully the dev improves it in the coming days and weeks.
Wrinkles look great, for a grown man. :D
Wrinkles are very good, actually, considering toned up mimics.
Wait, is the point of the vface in the workflow to add details to the deformations? Does the metahuman not have deformation for its detail maps?
Is Maya the only way to achieve this result? I think that Chris Jones did this in Blender.
The Metapipe plugin is Maya only. But I've seen other people use other software.
Good result, what was your workflow?
Working on an explainer today. I'll post it here when it's ready
@@JoeRaasch Great, looking forward to it!
