Even though this is a no-GC test, I would actually encourage running Glass Cannon since Sandy has iframes on his Y.
Rotation:
- Talviyo to get gauge
- Change form
- Spam guard-cancelled Lightstep
- Use his wind skill and Link Attack when they are up
- Combo finisher and No Way Out at the end
Guard cancel seems to work best on a rhythm, rather than blindly spamming. In a real fight, I would probably spam though lol.

Definitely boring playstyle to use, so with a normal build normal playstyle how much does he do in comparison?
Haven't tested non-Lightstep rotations myself but I've seen some figures being tossed around in the ballpark of 40-50 million. There could be something higher, but most people won't bother pushing "non-optimal" playstyles.

I can't wait for them to nerf the dmg cap on that Lightstep and put it into his skills or perfect executions just to remove this playstyle haha. That's just my preference though

It's unfortunate that his most effective playstyle at the moment is spamming Winged Lightstep, which not only does the most DPS, but is also a defensive tool.
His overall kit is actually pretty interesting but is largely ignored if you want to play "optimally".
I doubt they'll nerf it, because, unless I'm wrong about this, Lancelot's evade attack is still going on strong. People still spam-to-win, with him, to this day! And it's still op!

The main difference between Sandy and Lancey is that Sandy's Y spam actually does tons of damage while Lancelot doesn't.
Yeah spamming Lancelot Y is sub-optimal play but this isn't the case for Sandy, it's actually the most optimal damage wise haha
Isn’t it a bug though? Since the damage cap on lightstep is extremely high. But since it’s the last patch… this will be the preferred gamestyle till who knows when the next paid DLC comes out.
god damn how high is the cap on that lightstep to need this much atk? and how much can you drop for normal questing?
He's got Stout Heart in angel mode and his Y is also an evade.
You can mash Y the entire time.
he got extended damage cap up in primarch mode, just go nuts at that point

His Winged Lightstep seems hard to cap. If I take off an orange, I don't think I can cap anymore which is why I'm using so many.
If your weapon stone has double orange, you may be able to drop one from sigils (not entirely sure).
For normal questing, if you need more slots for utility traits you can probably start by switching some Luci sigils to Damage Cap+ to free up some slots.
Why aren't you using his awekening? Is it bad or is it just not good with the projectiles from the arc angel form?
You mean his "Awe" sigil? I was under the impression that it didn't affect the damage on his Winged Lightstep, but I could be wrong since I haven't tested it extensively.
His "Nimbus" sigil is a defensive one so it's not really relevant.
Where did you get Berserk Echo + ? Is that from Transmute or Boxes appraisal?
It drops from both of the two new boss rush quests. It has a very high drop rate.
how did you get a writ stone with +20lv if crit rate ??? i only get 10 as max level

How painful was it to get those over masteries? (been resetting for a few hours now)
Took ages like with every character. Have to burn Ambrosia as well since resetting is annoying.
But I kinda just do it in the background while half watching something else so it's not too bad lol.

That's weird. If you copy the build in this video exactly (same traits), you can spam winged Lightstep and even without guard cancelling you can hit 50 or 60 million.
@grandskyace is it only about getting the same traits rather than just getting higher attack?
@@SuperAli___ If you are talking about the Atk stat, most traits do not raise Atk directly but add damage modifiers. These damage modifiers make up the majority of your damage so you should be looking at traits rather than just Atk.
@grandskyace I totally understand. But when I saw your video I tried to take it as high as 55k but only hit 30m. I am currently trying to get the traits you have and will try again. Anyhow, thanks a lot bud. This looks super awesome 👌🏼

I haven't played Rosetta so don't have anything specific for her.
Having said that, most characters build roughly the same way
- max out damage caps
- get enough damage to hit cap
- add war elemental
- stack supplementary damage
- use any relevant character sigils
- fill remaining slots with your preferred utilities.
How do u cancel the link attack, my link attack takes 5 secs to finish
I just side dodge as soon as I press link attack.

You can kind of see my timing for button presses on the screen (where it shows you the skill names and buttons).
I am doing Lightstep, guard, small pause, Lightstep, guard, small pause, etc.
There's a rhythm to it and doing it this way is faster than blindly mashing.
In a real fight I would probably just mash though because I would need to focus on the fight.

@@kaizerlicht9741 I am not using an macros or scripts in this video. I did remap my guard and heavy atk keys though so I can press them in rhythm more easily, and even then it took a while to get a run where I didn't mess up much.
I'm sure you can probably get higher numbers if you did use a script.
I think you are wasting a slot on supplement dmg. Berserker Echo gives you 100% supp dmg chance if attk is above 25k. You already have supp 15 as weapon trait. You can free up an extra sigil slot.
Berserker Echo is a separate instance of supp dmg and it stacks with Supp DMG sigils so you get 40% supp dmg by running them together.
@@grandskyace you arent understanding. The supplemental dmg sigils only impact the chance of your attacks having supplemental dmg. Read berserker echo. Having 25k attack gives your attacks a 100% supplemental dmg chance. So you only need 1 supplement damage sigil, this sigil is already om sandalphons weapon as an attribute. You dont need to commit to lv45 supplement dmg because you already have 100% chance with berserker echo
@rom.e3363 You can go test it in practice mode. Even in this video, you can see my Supplementary Damage is 40% of the base damage (40% x 184k ~= 73k for Lightstep), which means Berserker Echo and Supplementary Damage stack in damage, not chance.
@@grandskyace yes I agree with the 40%. I will try make this as simple as possible. Supplemental dmg does stack with Berserker Echo. I am not disputing that. HOWEVER... you are using lv45 supplemental damage. You do not need to use all 3 sigils. The weapon already has supplement damage on it at lv 15. You do not need 3 supplement lv15 sigils because with Berserker Echo it already gives you 100% chance to trigger supplement dmg. So you only need supplement dmg lv15 not lv 45. You can remove the double supplement dmg sigil and you wont lose any dmg. Its really not hard to understand I dont know why theres so much confusion here?

I just tested this in practice and running 1 Supp DMG with 1 Berserker Echo does NOT guarantee the 40%. It will sometimes hit for 20% and sometimes hit for 40%. This is expected as Supp DMG and Berserker Echo are *different instances* of Supp DMG, and their chance to proc are separate.
Feel free to actually test this in practice. It doesn't take long to verify.

he seems to now deal one of the highest dps, if not the highest, in the game (without accounting for bugs)
he also has in his highest dps attack
but man...he's so damn boring to play that way...
Yea, agreed. It'll still be interesting to see how far he can push speedruns, but for general play he is not that exciting to play as.
Well Charlotta exist so he isn’t the highest dps for sure. But he still pack a tons more than other characters overall

My War Elemental doesn't have another orange trait on it.
As for other sigils, you can get double orange now with sigil synthesis.
Definitely save scum. Not going to waste rare sigils like Supp V+...
