Because of your video I learned why my flour tortillas weren't puffing and cooking the inside. I was cooking them on low heat and hoping to get them to puff over a longer period of time cooking. I took your advice and cranked my comal on the highest it would go and cooked them for just a few seconds on each side and boom. Tortillas puffed up and the inside was cooked through. The tortillas were pliable and the best I've ever made. Thank you so much! Can't wait to continue to practice and get these suckers consistent and delucious.
Hi Mrs Maria! I followed your recipe homemade Flour Tortillas. I have to say THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! It was big it! My husband and son said please make more often. This is my first time ever made flour tortillas. I name this recipe after you. Love love all your video!!
Because if this post I became a new subscriber I already knew how to make flour tortillas but it's always nice to see how others make them or learn maybe a different way doing things love thank you for taking the time to share and your granddaughter is so precious May God bless you both and the rest if your family
Thanks for subbing! Yes, very true that flour tortillas is a simple recipe, but many approach it differently! It's great that there are more than one way to do it....and as long as they taste delicious that's what matters! Thanks for the kind words. God bless
Thank you so much!!! I just made them while you were instructing….THESE ARE DELICIOUS AND SOOO EASY TO MAKE!!! your grand daughter is so sweet and so are you!! Thank you for your amazing recipes! Subscribed.
Awesome! After awhile you just get good at making them and they get easier to make too! Glad you are still enjoying them. They really can be enjoyed anytime!
Wow I saw your recipe a year ago. I just got around to making them. They are the best tortillas I’ve ever made in my life! Thank you so much for sharing 😋👍

It’s sad people out there doesn’t cared the tradition. Cooking is an Art.❤️ warms my heart . Eva is a pro!! I can’t wait to tach my granddaughter 💕
Thank you so much!! Welcome to MARIA'S KITCHEN Presents 😊🎉 If you get a chance check out some of the old videos :) Hopefully you will find some you like!
Very much same thing I did but, I would use any salt other than the table salt. Trust me, trade that 1tsp of tablesalt for maybe a tablespoon of kosher salt. Weight wise it is the same, but it is salt and not a chemical salt! You’ll find the salt taste is there but by volume it is less. Any other salt than table salt will melt better and you’ll get even salinity. Rest this was awesome.. except the salt. I pressed them on the press and on the heat. It worked as a press and finished it on the press, on the heat, as my comal! Advice I got from my Tia. Tied true and tested. Great channel and loving your message and content. Bless you all.
God’s blessings on you and your family and especially your beautiful granddaughter she’s amazing learning scriptures you have raised her to love God ❤ I need to know how to make flour tortillas using 6 cups of flour I wish you and your family lots of blessings this is the first time I’m seeing your videos
Thank you so much for your kind blessings…I love teaching my kids and grandkids the word of God 😊I’ll try to figure the amount for 6 cups you can double this recipe or triple it
Maria, thank you for the delightful video. I have been trying to learn authentic tortilla making and I’m finally getting somewhere. I learned a few more things from you that will help me along the way. The simple bean burrito looks like a winner!
All the recipes I have watched, allowed the dough to rise 10 to 20 minutes, I'm curious why you chose not to. I love your channel, thank you for sharing your recipes and wisdom!

I believe I’ve found the recipe that I’d like to use after watching so many videos. 😉 Your Tortillas look wonderful and amazing...just like the ones my Mom used to make when I was a little girl. Your grandaughter stole the show. She's precious! I'm learning the art of tortilla making and have a question. How thick or thin are you rolling them out. I've got the recipe down perfect...the shape is coming along but I like my tortilla's semi thin. Can you comment on the size and thickness? Thanks so much. I'm subscribing right now. Thanks!
Thank you 😊 Yes, she's is very good at rolling them out :) The size would probably be roughly 7 inches (give or take) in diameter. The thickness maybe 1/8 inch thickness? Good question I’ll have to make some to see about how thick I make them. I hope this helps! I’ll be back to comment some more I’ll have to make some 😊
