Putin is laughing himself hoarse watching America tear itself apart over people wanting to twiddle with their sex organs and demonstrating in favour of Islamo-fascists who would kill most Americans as soon as they could. Putin didn't even have to fire a shot. His birthday present from the KGB and Iran, the Hamas attack on Oct.7th has lit the fuse, and knocked his murderous war in Ukraine out of the news cycle. There's a term you learn fighting against honest-to-Marx communists, like the ones we (somehow still) have here in the Philippines:
    Counter-revolutionary,
    This is probably the worst thing a communist can call someone. This is THE capital crime for them. Not only are you against the ideas and ideals of whatever flavor of communism the ones you challenge espouse, you are ACTIVELY working against it. Often, this means you're on a list for the kind of punishment gets meted out for capital crimes.
    I've always regarded modern-day American progressivism as the heirs of Robespierre and the Reign of Terror. Those guys were the original "Woke": you don't agree with the ideals of the French Revolution as defined by the Committee on Public Safety? OFF WITH YOUR HEAD.
    But I also see echoes of this communist thinking that anything against the purity of the Party's thought - the so-called "party line" - is anathema with your so-called "progressives", America. That lack of compromise. That insistence that they and only they have the right position.
    And if you were to even suggest that maybe they're the least bit wrong, well... off with your head. Digital or otherwise.
    It's just sad to see so many supposedly smart kids in your universities act not so very smart due to their indoctrination. Or, even worse, as Bill Maher put it recently, "the revolution is here for me."
    Then again, I also see echoes of how the National Democratic Front, the more-or-less "above ground" branch of the Communist Party of the Philippines, does its recruiting in our colleges and universities. Young people can't help but be idealistic. And the terminologies used to radicalize your uni students - whether for questions of gender, culture, the Arab-Israeli conflict, etc. - were designed to have such an effect. nothing triggers the young idealist's NEED to think they're changing the world for the better than the words used by the radical Left of America.
    There are probably real commissars and troopers in those ranks, but I fear a good chunk of your students have been recruited to causes they know only one side of. Typical. Took us a long time to even blunt the NDF's radicalization of our campuses. I don't even know if we've regressed now, given some of the things I've heard.
    But for the sake of the American Center, and maybe your... sensible Left, too, I hope you get a grip on your radical children. They don't know they're actually recruiting for your "Alt Right" :D

Israel then controlled, oppressed the people, and purposefully deprived the ghetto of basic needs until the UN had to intervene for Gazan survival. What is seldom discussed is what the definitions of these terms of bigotry have become. We can all agree: racism = bad, so should be removed. But what is racism? It used to be treating people badly based on skin color, which is a simple and easy to grasp definition. But now, it's pretty much every action any white person takes, and that's not my belief that's what's written by so-called thinkers such as Ibram X Kendi and Robin D'Angelo. Racism is also anything where all races are not represented (unless it's a low status job or 100% minorities). So math, the most scientifically pure subject, has become racist, why? because certain groups don't perform as well on math tests. How exactly is it racist? That doesn't matter, the math tests don't get the results needed, so it MUST be racist. A government that has mostly white people is racist, but even if a government has mostly black people in it is STILL racist. Baltimore, a city entirely run by African American leaders, is racist because the government itself was started by white people (Breakfast Club Podcast). Naturally if a company has no white people, it's NOT racist, because apparently it's impossible to be racist towards white people. This is the problem I have today with people who say they "hate bigotry"...okay, which bigotry do you mean and how are you defining it? Because I am truly not sure anymore.

    I agree that young people think they live in a profoundly racist society today, but don't have any idea what historical racism was really like. But I feel that contemporary Jewish commentators overuse the word 'antisemitism' and tend to deny anyone the right to criticise Israel in a tone of passionate amateurish activism - or to criticise Israel at all, especially rejecting or diminishing cherished foundational myths of Israel. In believing that anyone who challenges their core historical beliefs must be motivated by a sinister sickness called 'antisemitism' they are no more rational than the identitarians who attribute current social outcomes as proof of a dark hidden evil in white people called 'racism'. BOTH groups need to chill. Terms like antisemitism and racism have descriptive usefulness and long history but have referenced quite different issues in different places and times. What they have never been are mysterious forces - as if like evil spirits that inhabit and poison human souls. This is not the dark ages.

    50:01 Talking about false narratives, I still throughout have immensely hard time to understand how any College or University professor can talk about Palestine, Palestinians as a real thing, as it seems to be arabs who reinvented their cause of killing all the Jews of Israel in the 60´s Palestine and Palestinians as a nation, state or a people never existed before. They were Islamic Arabs living Israel, who under the Nakbar where they due to unsucsessfully in conduction of a Genocide against the new Jewish state fled home to Jordan, which was ruled by a minority of a Beduin tripe who had made a special deal with the British. So how can terrorism and unjust violence against innocent children and elderly indiscriminately legitimate a change in history and a sudden upspring in the history books of a Palestinian people with rights to move from Jordan to different settlements in Israel. .? To me it is crazy wrong, also from a Jewish (secular) professor.

    The activities of the radical fringe of the pro Palestinian protests have been a gift to the “Israel is always right” wing of American opinion that has existed for decades. I have been unsurprised by the horrors being inflicted on the Palestinian people by Israel, this is after decades of dehumanising Palestinians by Israel. I’ve followed this issue for 50 years and read the Israeli press, I know that many Israelis themselves disagree with Israeli govt policy. What was once the extreme right is now the mainstream of Israeli politics so people can self righteously declare that opposing Israeli slaughter is being “pro-Hamas” but this is pure spin and avoids the central real issue of Israel’s brutality and cynical manipulation of the “peace process” to take more land.

      That fringe is so small, pro-Israel groups are asking for volunteers to shout antisemitic things at these protests. Most people do NOT see that criticizing Israel or finally wanting the promised state for Palestinians are antisemitic, and rightfully so. Israel, AIPAC, the ADL, and this professor all want us to believe the opposite, even to the point of lying about the word "Intifada."
      He is lying or ignorant about why the Second Intifada occurred. The Palestinians demilitarized, they were willing to compromise, and then...Israel didn't move forward with their own promises. They continued to build settlements. They continued to steal land. The IDF were still brutal, reactionary, and viciously racist. The settlers were more and more violent. More checkpoints were put in place despite the fact that Palestinians had given up their firearms.

  • @stephanmarcus448
    @stephanmarcus448 3 месяца назад

    Israel has never offered the Palestinians a state. The best deal Israel has offered creates an entity with less control over its affairs than the average US city council, or native reservation. It would turn all Palestinian areas into miniature Gazas, fenced in, with Israel in complete control of what and who go in or come out and the IDF ready to bomb at the first sign of resistance.
    Israel could have had peace at any time since the early 1970's but it wants the land but not the people. Israelis have never been prepared to part with the land conquered in 1967 or to seriously address the division of Jerusalem and the status of refugees. Time is growing short; sanctions and divestment and coming and in two or three decades Israelis will wake up one day to find that their imperial patron, the US, has abandoned them. Then they will have to make peace not form their current position of dominance but in a true existential crisis.
