Wow, thanks for sharing your story! When I was 14 and had sudden onset of a ton of gut issues, they did a gut test and found strep in my gut. 😮 I didn’t even have strep throat at the time, but they found the strep virus (or bacteria?) in my gut! Crazy.
Anyway, only recently, after years of struggling with stomach issues, fatigue, neurological issues, etc., I just finally found a podcast by a doctor named Dr.Maegan Stanga. You have to listen to her podcast!! It is so fascinating…
She talks about re-activated viruses like strep, Epstein-Barr virus, bartonella, Lymes, etc. that reactivate (like the chickenpox virus reactivates later in life to cause shingles) and cause a host of auto immune and gut issues. It’s been eye-opening for me and helping me to realize perhaps why I’ve been having all these issues for so many years, and why they found strep in my gut.
Many people who have had reoccurring, strep throat infections, often have gut issues because of the strep. It makes sense, because of the bacteria is in our throats, it surely could be swallowed and introduced into the GI system to wreak havoc!
Best wishes on your healing journey :-)

@@CountofSerenno he has presented some evidence of fruit and honey behaving differently than isolated fructose. In one study, very high doses of honey (10 tbsp a day) actually slightly improved fasting blood sugar in diabetics. That’s probably not a one size fits all but it seems to reason that whole fruits wouldn’t cause the same issues with aging as added refined sugars would. Paul doesn’t tout this a lot but fruits in themselves have anti aging benefits. Especially berries.

No they drank clean water than went through natural purification through stone and from fresh springs. Since we don’t have that and most tap water is full of crap, reverse osmosis takes out all that. It takes out more than it should so I add minerals back in, but it’s better than chlorinated tap water.
