Jamie Lee Curtis is such a set mom. Every child actor who did a film with JLC has all stated the same thing. She swears a lot, but she's a momma bear and protected them to them enth degree. She has always been an awesome person.
Love her! She wrote some great children's books.

Jamie Lee Curtis is an absolute treasure. The fact that she is protective and yet also extremely blunt about everything when it comes to being on set for films is pure gold

@@InterestedCitizen- Clearly, you missed the whole point of her story and the lesson. She wanted the kids to know that swear words shouldn’t be used like pronouns. It makes you sound like trash. But she also didn’t want to be a hypocrite and BS the kids that adults NEVER swear. There’s a time and a place for everything. It’s called learning to use your filter. She showed Anna and Macaulay an example of having class, restraint, and humor at the same time. As preteens, they were old enough to understand the joke and the main message. Well done Jamie!
That was nice of her giving the kids the money contributed by the swear jar. That was a sweet gesture.
Lol 😂 that’s not what happened… Anna Chlumsky’s character stole the money and then confessed to doing it at the end of the movie, but she told her if she dedicated her first novel to her then she didn’t have to pay her back

Jamie Lee is talking about swear jars they had on set, I think NSA Supporter is confusing that with the money jar her character Shelly has in the movie.

I hope this does not come out the wrong way, they usually only give honorary Oscars to old timers (and inspite of the gray hair, she will always be young at heart), and it would be great to see her get one! I also don't understand why she did not get a nomination for Knives Out; something different for her and she was at her best!

Honestly it's really nice to hear how protected those kids were on a Hollywood movie set. You hear so many terrible stories these days in hindsight. If the worst thing that happened on this set was Jamie Lee telling them to f*** off to their face, I'm okay with that. Those movies were a big part of my childhood

@@ch-p2861 well they had to reduce their hours for child actors for one thing.That was one of the reasons why babies were hired by twins,Mary Kate and Ashley Olson,The Sprouse twins,Sydney and Lyndsay Greenleaf,Greenbush,Green street,lol, was it on Little House,etc.

facts...the funeral 😢 scene when Thomas J was in the casket and Veta kept saying "where's his glasses?...he needs his glasses!" I was a wreck the rest of the movie (and took me years to even watch it again)
@@paulbernard2785 I had a co-worker and friend, Joe, who passed away this year, at age 83, and I had the same vibes as Vada did to Thomas- I asked him in his casket, “do you want to predict a football score, Joe?”, “Do you want to count down the time on the clock?”, and “Are you ready to work?”
Yes, as I said those phrases, I immediately started to feel like I was in that scene, with Anna and Macaulay. It’s not an easy feeling, either.
Every time i sit and enjoy TGNS i'm struck at how much the world get's to know American celebrities so much better, simply because Graham brings out their best....unlike what we have here in the states which is pretty dead now.
I love Jamie, she'll always be the #1 scream queen & a wonderful person with an awesome sense of humor.

My girl was the reason I was terrified of bees as a kid
A friend of mine, who's a waitress at a restaurant, actually got stung by one on her arm, just as I was about to be served by her. When she arrived at my table, after telling me what had happened, I told her, "I hope you're not allergic to them like Macaulay was, in that movie". Thankfully, she wasn't (she's not allergic to anything, just mean people), and she knew what I was referring to, later. And she's completely healed, from the sting, too.
I became a huge fan of hers back in the 70s, since she's only 4 years older than I am. Followed her career ever since. Fabulous woman ❤

The first one was "Uncle Buck", in which Culkin played Miles Russell, and Chlumsky played one of Maisy Russell's classmates (during the "Blasphemer!" scene).

My son did an extra part in one of her movies. I cannot remember which movie. But she did her crying baby impersonation for the kids. She was great with the kids. Very nice lady.
