I mean, for some people that's the appeal. The aesthetics and sense of a lost period of time are the reason a lot of people watch period pieces. And that's not a bad thing, given how films are a visual medium.
@@eleventhera4564 I never even knew she was ever on TV! She was on a TV show that had 60 episodes!!! That is unheard of today! 60 episodes is an HBO show that's been on 6 seasons. I'm sure her show lasted 3 seasons.
I'm surprised they didn't have her talk about it. She along with Nicey Nash and Emma Roberts were the big thing about this series and was very much honoring her. Maybe she declined in order to talk more about Halloween.
Is it just me or does she need a role in AHS? Just a short role, like they did Stevie Nicks. Bring her in for a “wow effect” type of thing. It would’ve helped their latest season about slashers films!
Bre Wright right!! She would’ve fit perfectly with the 1984 season!! She was the first “last girl/virgin” type in slasher flicks! Lol but, she would’ve been good in whatever they gave her. It’s still not too late lol 🤞🏼
I love the moment shes looking right to the camera and talking to every single viewer and order them "not to be haters" Thats a move just the great Jamie Lee Curtis do. Thats one reason i love to watch her Movies, this woman is fanatic.
I wonder if JLC realizes how many parents she influenced when she improvised “Make good choices!!” - my mom and one of her old friends yelled that out the window at us for years growing up, and I plan on doing it to whatever lil hellions I birth someday
LOVE Freaky Friday. I think a kid playing a grown up..I’ve seen it a thousand times. An adult playing a moody teen is an art that Jamie Lee absolutely nails. She steals the movie, for sure.
Imo it's a terrible film. I'm guessing VF lets them choose what movies they want to talk about it. Or they ask about all of them and then edit it down to their favorites.
Freaky Friday was what made me a fan of Jamie Lee Curtis when I was a kid. But I also had no idea many years later that I found out she has really famous parents Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh.
I love that she mentions so many people on who worked with the projects & how she got the roles & who knew who etc. just shows what kind of person she is.
I'm so glad that she has embraced aging! She looks amazing. No fake hair color and if she has had any kind of plastic surgery at all, it's so subtle that nobody can tell. Very refreshing.
When Lindsay Lohan was playing guitar and singing, she is a professional so she didn't fake it. I heard once that Jamie had to learn to play guitar. The scene where Jamie lip-synced in that part I LOVED it.
well theres a 1972 version ...jodie foster played the daughter. she was orig gunna be the mom in this version but had to pull out. i forgt who played the mother in the original movie.
Love so many parts of this, but when she said, "I would've done this movie if it had just been 'Knives Out' and Michael Shannon," I loved her even more. Michael Shannon is a criminally underrated actor. So not only is Jamie Lee Curtis a phenomenal actress, she spots greatness where few others have.
Well, now I know what it feels like to be Jamie Lee Curtis' child. She's totally wrong, it's a terrible film on balance but for her, I won't hate on it.
Knives Out is a TREAT to watch. The rich colors, gorgeous sets, the beautiful way the camera moves in the space. It really transports you somewhere else while watching.
Jamie Lee Curtis is amazing in anything that she's in! She's come a long way in her illustrious career, and to see her receive the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once" was the crowning achievement.
fast foward to 2022, she was in Everything Everywhere All at Once cast, a weird sci-fi movie with hot dog fingers that earned her first Oscars winner of Best Supporting Actress. She came along way and still humble, supportive and grounded. proud of her
I think this one is my favourite. She doesn't beat around the bush, says it like it is, but still with love and passion. Some of these actors get so esoteric, but I really like her direct style.
It's amazing how much she speaks about the directors and everyone who helped her along the way. Her story isn't just her story and she's not afraid to discuss the many players who made her who she is. That's something you often don't see in these career retrospectives. You can tell she has great respect for those she works with and isn't afraid to call that out.
What an absolute legend... and how classy and well spoken. She breaks down the movies so well, one could only dream to have her as an acting teacher!!!
Glad I watched this - what a delightful, talented entertainer who has remained appreciative and grounded throughout her career. Her perspective is very refreshing, class act.
One of the greatest actresses to ever be in the industry. She is so genuine and true, just a role model not only for actors but for everybody. One is never too young or too old to success in whatever it is that you want to success in. Jamie Lee Curtis, a true legend.

I mean, for some people that's the appeal. The aesthetics and sense of a lost period of time are the reason a lot of people watch period pieces. And that's not a bad thing, given how films are a visual medium.
@@DorianCairne That exactly what I thought. I think it depends on the director because it really isn't a bad thing
Season 1 vs season 2 & 3 of stranger things
I adore how gutsy, unabashedly honest, and self deprecating she is.
Jamie is so magnetic. I can’t stop listening to her. She is so smart and prepared.
i can't believe they didn't touch on her iconic activia commercials
Sheep 😂😂😂😂😂
Sheep yeah and her tv shows, i would have liked to see her talk about her role as dr.ryan
@@eleventhera4564 I never even knew she was ever on TV! She was on a TV show that had 60 episodes!!! That is unheard of today! 60 episodes is an HBO show that's been on 6 seasons. I'm sure her show lasted 3 seasons.
Candis ? I was talking about her role of Dr Ryan, who was on NCIS and love interest of Gibbs. not... that HBO show... never heard if it
@@eleventhera4564 She was also on Scream Queens, it's a slasher comedy
I loved her in scream queens
I'm surprised they didn't have her talk about it. She along with Nicey Nash and Emma Roberts were the big thing about this series and was very much honoring her. Maybe she declined in order to talk more about Halloween.
@James W YASSSS
Is it just me or does she need a role in AHS? Just a short role, like they did Stevie Nicks. Bring her in for a “wow effect” type of thing. It would’ve helped their latest season about slashers films!
Ann Berlin I just said this the other day! Imagine if we had JLC in Coven, Murder House or even a little cameo in AHS:1984😱
She’s brilliant and must be protected at all costs.
I wonder if JLC realizes how many parents she influenced when she improvised “Make good choices!!” - my mom and one of her old friends yelled that out the window at us for years growing up, and I plan on doing it to whatever lil hellions I birth someday
That line is literally so perfect. The fact that she ad-libbed it makes me love her even more 😭❤
My mom says that to me even tho I’m 25 lol
Gabrielle Lont my circle and I say “and how do you feel about that?” Quite a lot lol
My dad would yell that out the window at me all through middle and high school when he dropped me off 😂
I did the same with my kids and now I do it with my students.
LOVE Freaky Friday. I think a kid playing a grown up..I’ve seen it a thousand times. An adult playing a moody teen is an art that Jamie Lee absolutely nails. She steals the movie, for sure.
She never hides her intelligence to fit into any bubble. And that's why I love her.
Oh okay so we're just SKIPPING CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS?
Oh my God i had forgotten about that !
EXPLAIN!!!!
Ikr!! I loved that movie I wonder why they skipped it
Imo it's a terrible film.
I'm guessing VF lets them choose what movies they want to talk about it. Or they ask about all of them and then edit it down to their favorites.
i love that movie lol is a bit silly but light and fun to watch at christmas time
One of the best and most iconic actresses in Hollywood.
Freaky Friday was what made me a fan of Jamie Lee Curtis when I was a kid. But I also had no idea many years later that I found out she has really famous parents Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh.
Another commenter in this section agrees with you
She acted in the Fog with her mom

The classiest woman I swear to god she is incredible and so well spoken. What a queen
*scream queen.
I love that she mentions so many people on who worked with the projects & how she got the roles & who knew who etc. just shows what kind of person she is.
Freaky Friday was PERFECT. EVERYONE PLAYED THEIR ROLES 100% IT WILL FOREVER BE A FAVORITE
Mine too.
When she said, "I'm like the crypt keeper". Never gets old. 😂😂
@@aprilmay1061 never!
When she says “you... relax” about Rian Johnson’s Star Wars... I fell in love with this woman
Nice listening to her speak about her career. Jamie Lee has always been one of my favorite actresses!
This woman is 61 years old and beautiful. She aged very well
Seems like she didn't go under the knife
Leo B yup
One of the few in Hollywood
“I have nooo problem being 15. I am 15”😂😂😂
I'm so glad that she has embraced aging! She looks amazing. No fake hair color and if she has had any kind of plastic surgery at all, it's so subtle that nobody can tell. Very refreshing.
She looks amazing.
she improvised “make good choices”?! that’s amazing
As per Tatiana " Choices " ... Thank you ...

WHY DOESN'T SHE TALK ABOUT CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS
Alex Batonisashvili Love that! Watch it every Christmas season.
Or "you again"
SAME!! I noticed they skipped it!!
I watched it the other day! Loveddd it
@Hayley Valvo lol it's my fave christmas movie
Knives out was probably one of the best movies I've seen in the last 10 years.
Jamie Lee Curtis is the best actress ever. She's funny, and is like a cool friend
I hope I’m as amazing as she is at 61. What a legacy. And she’s not jaded. I love her.
When Lindsay Lohan was playing guitar and singing, she is a professional so she didn't fake it. I heard once that Jamie had to learn to play guitar. The scene where Jamie lip-synced in that part I LOVED it.
I can’t imagine anyone else as the mom for Freaky Friday
well theres a 1972 version ...jodie foster played the daughter. she was orig gunna be the mom in this version but had to pull out. i forgt who played the mother in the original movie.
ah yes miss type...thank you.

Barbara Harris -- died last year
“Make good choices” was literally my favorite line in that film and it wasn’t written by the writers. Good grief, Disney.
Exactly what I was going to say 😂
nah its “darling, could you like chill for a sec” for me
That line thou.. when she screams "Make good choices" 😂 Iconic! She's so good in that movie!
Sophia Rodriguez FACT. He is incredible.
He’s incredible actor!
*"Don't hate... don't. Don't! Stop it! You, uh-huh, don't be a hater, just relax, breathe."*
I'll agree to disagree with her on that point but that was hilarious.
She's right!
Such a mom thing to do Love it, very hilarious.
Well, now I know what it feels like to be Jamie Lee Curtis' child. She's totally wrong, it's a terrible film on balance but for her, I won't hate on it.
It’s like she was looking right at me through the screen! Lol
Knives Out is a TREAT to watch. The rich colors, gorgeous sets, the beautiful way the camera moves in the space. It really transports you somewhere else while watching.
when she said "ive seen star wars and i loved it" and right after i went "ugh star wars"
then she said "hey u, stop being a hater" *how did she knoww*
🤣 not a fan?
Aslan9 lol nope
The Last Jedi is the best Star Wars movie and nothing can change my mind.
@@sadiebird5257 that's your personal favorite and no-one has to change your mind
Jamie Lee Curtis KNOWS ALL!!!
I never knew I could love her more. Also, her story telling of how all her roles are interconnected; beautiful!
Jamie Lee Curtis is amazing in anything that she's in! She's come a long way in her illustrious career, and to see her receive the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once" was the crowning achievement.
I have the utmost respect for this woman. She's incredible in more ways than one.
Where’s Beverly Hills Chihuahua tho that’s a huge masterpiece

fast foward to 2022, she was in Everything Everywhere All at Once cast, a weird sci-fi movie with hot dog fingers that earned her first Oscars winner of Best Supporting Actress.
Loved her in the movie "You Again" with Kirsten Bell and Betty White.
Too bad she didn't talk about her experience in it
I remember that Jamie was the spokeswoman for Dannon's Activia yogurt.

My friend met her and said “I love your yogurt commercials” and she she responded “those fucks fired me” I love her so much

True Lies is SUPER underrated. It’s got action, comedy, and romance. It’s perfect!
she didn't even mention scream queens, the treason- 😔
She possibly did, but they cut/edit to fit their own "agenda".
It was probably cut for time
Yer time sure sure... because an 18 minute video is so short, people definitely wouldn't watch an additional 5 minutes 🤔

Jamie Lee keepin it real for years. Absolutely loving this woman and her personality!
This was really intriguing to watch. And she is very eloquent when she speaks!🤗
