Winona have been part of most of my life being in iconic movies I absolutely love ( Edward Scissorhands, Dracula, Little women ). I think her, Demi Moore, Johnny Depp, Keanu Reeves, Brad Pitt and Patrick Swayze literally personify the late 80´s/90’s to me, just like their movies they always remind me of good old times, when things were just light and fun. I was so overjoyed to reconnect with her trough Stranger things, she really deserved a second chance at success and it was just a full circle moment that she made it through Stranger Things which also surfs on the 80’s nostalgia ❤
Little Women was my introduction to Winona Ryder. As an enthusiast of Little Women, it is the only version that I can watch and truly connect with. Every actor and actress was perfect, and Winona is the perfect Jo in each and every way. So happy to hear her perspective on the film!
Yeah like most of Winona’s movies, you don’t see them made like that anymore. There’s this innocent, classic feel to Little Women that I just don’t think can be replicated. The newest Little Women was a mess, in my opinion.
Winona Ryder was my whole teenage years and beyond! She is a fantastic actor! She doesn't even touch all of her great movies. Edward Scissorhands, Reality Bites, How to Make an American Quilt, Bram Stokers Dracula, The Age of Innocence, Great Balls of Fire, these are just a few, in addition to what she mentioned, there are many more! So many amazing and impactful films - Winona, you chose films not to be famous, but to help young women understand themselves better and be more comfortable to own their individual quirkiness. Dark comedy is a lighter way to tackle heavy topics and you manage to do it gently but powerfully all at the same time - awesome 🤩
Love her and glad she is doing well now. She went through a tough time in the media, I think it would've been worse today with the internet, but she's still awesome. If you haven't seen Heathers, please do it. Mean Girls was totally inspired by it.
WOW!!! These comments are amazing!! 🎉Her role in the Crucible was powerful yet underrated. So much love for Winona! She is more gifted than her 90s peers, by far, and wiser about choosing well written scripts. She made me feel like I wasn’t alone back then, being a weird and deep insomniac. She is a natural beauty and so well spoken, choosing her words well. She doesn’t overexpose herself either. I wish her the best! ❤🎉

Love this and Winona Ryder. She’s made so many great films. This should’ve been longer as her body of work is huge. Where’s “Reality Bites” and “Mermaids”. Would have loved to hear her talk about “The Age of Innocence” and “Alien Resurrection”. And of course, “Bram Stokers Dracula”. She had the rights to the book and brought the script to Francis Ford Coppola and asked him to direct it. It was her way of making up for having to drop out of Godfather 3 at the final hour due to being sick. It left him in a bind having to cast his daughter Sofia in it, which critics said was a disastrous move. Winona felt bad and came back to Coppola with Dracula and to make peace. Would love to have heard her take on all that.

Oh my noni, you really are a timeless beauty. Best actress in the 90s. Truly madly deeply about your everything. Wish you live happily ever after. ❤
beautifully said
Winona have been part of most of my life being in iconic movies I absolutely love ( Edward Scissorhands, Dracula, Little women ).
It warms my heart how she still holds it, and the rest of the cast, in such a special place.
Agreed! I watch it every Christmas and adore it every single time.
Agreed! I watch it every Christmas and adore it every time!
Yeah like most of Winona’s movies, you don’t see them made like that anymore. There’s this innocent, classic feel to Little Women that I just don’t think can be replicated. The newest Little Women was a mess, in my opinion.
She's always been my favorite Jo, and that film is my favorite version.
She was the 90's! I hated that the paparazzi treated her so horribly! I'm glad she made a comeback!
God, I've always felt Winona Ryder is one of the most sublimely beautiful women I've ever seen as well as one of the most talented actresses (actors? 🤔)
people forget how talented and amazing she has always been. I have always loved her voice and tone. I have loved her in everything.
There's just something about her ...some people are just born with natural charisma. Growing up she was one of my favorite actresses. Her voice is so recognizable. Kids today have no idea how huge she was back then.
Charisma?
@@ExpectantHarvest google it
She’s very unpretentious and authentic. She feels very normal and relatable in an incredibly cool way.
@@mckenziejeanne4508 It's an uncomfortable anxiety ridden vibe. Any psychologist will tell you that
I’m so glad she’s in a new stage of her career. I’ve been a huge admirer of her work since I was a kid.
I have been a huge fan of Winona since I was a small child. Ive grown up with somany of her movies. She's such a genuine person, an icon, so beautiful. Winona puts a smile on my face anytime I see her. What a kind and loving woman. I cant wait to see her in Beetlejuice 2 and the finale of Stranger Things. Love you Noni
Man, every one of these films had such a massive impact on me. I watched Little Women and Heathers 1000 times growing up. Winona you are so important!
Girl Interrupted ice cream shop scene lives rent free in my head. Not to mention Edward Scissor Hands and one of my faves.. bram stokers Dracula.
Peppermint klit!!!
I have so much respect for Winona Ryder. First saw her in Beetlejuice and after Heathers, she could do no wrong (for me).
WINONA FOREVER I LOVE YOU ❤️
I had to watch this many times over and over again as I am in awe of Queen Winona Ryder. Thank you Harpers Bazaar.
Winona Ryder is a national treasure and must be protected at all costs.
@@ExpectantHarvestwhy do you keep questioning?
@@ExpectantHarvest you are everywhere in these Winona threads. You should hyper focus on why you have this one particular video in your crosshairs and handle that privately instead of online.
@@ExpectantHarvestYou know this because you she told you?
Gosh, she’s one of a kind! Thank you for such great movies!
Winona is one of the greatest actresses to ever live. Such a talent and ever so lovely!
yes!!!
Didn't want this interview to end!! 🥰
The first thing I ever saw her in was the movie “Lucas”…she really stood out in that.
Yeah me as well
she looked like a boy
I absolutely adore Winona Ryder 😍
The mention of Brit and how close they were, hit me deeply... You're AMAZING Winona
This is such a great interview. I love Winona Ryder and how she speaks fondly about her career.
Love her and glad she is doing well now. She went through a tough time in the media, I think it would've been worse today with the internet, but she's still awesome.
If you haven't seen Heathers, please do it. Mean Girls was totally inspired by it.
She played a terrifying villain in “The Crucible.” I thought she did her best work in it and would have enjoyed hearing her discuss it.
Good shout. I actually don't find her particularly great an actor, but thought she nailed it in The Crucible.
Yes! I love her completely but I hated that character ferociously
Agreed.
one day i just woke up and she was one of my favourites, cant explain it thanks for sharing this interview
I never got her and did not see her movies after Beetlejuice. I am going back to see everyone now. Always loved her in Stranger Things! 😊😊❤❤
Winona Ryder running down the steps in the rain in the movie Dracula is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.
Now I'm curious. I haven't seen it.

@@itdobelikedattho8112 I dont think so. Men like women, they always have.
I like the transition from "it doesn't necessarily mean you're crazy" talking about Girl Interrupted to immediately holding Christmas lights trying to talk to Will in Stranger Things lol
man, if Winona wrote a book, or narrated audiobooks, or had a fashion line... I would be ON that sh1t so fast and giving her my money
She was nominated for a Grammy for reading "Diary of a Young Girl". I used to have the audio book. I believe it was late 90s when it came out. She lost the Grammy to Patrick Stewart.
@@professionalbystander2574 Everyone loses to Patrick Stewart. He just makes it so.
I wanna see her do voice acting if she hasn't jumped into that already😍
This was so great
@@myajanell2504she voiced a character in frankenweenie and we watched it at school and i was like freaking out when we were watching it because yes she would be such a great voice actress
Thank you for inspiring us every time you speak. I’ve always admired your work.
She is in the well deserved pantheon of ICONIC actors💎👑 without the hyperbole of the current trend of naming everrrrything iconic
She's one of my fav actresses. I have always loved Winona Ryder. 🥰
She is the most endearing and special person
Fun to watch and interestingly insightful. THANKS! Brought back a ton of fun memories.
SHE LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL AND PERFECT
Beautiful? How so?
I was really hoping she'd talk about Reality Bites, one of my favorite films! There will never be another Winona who can do what she did
She truly is so beyond iconic, we love you forever Winona 🫶🫶
Edward Scissorhands is a legendary film with the best shot of her dancing by the ice angel. It's hard to remove from your mind.
Love her work! Thank you for this interview.
Love her so much. She’s been in so many of my favorite films. Girl, Interrupted is a a movie I can watch so many times and still find something beautiful about it.
She’s such a legend and she keeps making stuff we love!

Winona is so real for constantly talking about how important it was to her that the movies were accurate to the time/people they were meant to portray. Someone needed to get her on the 2019 little women set 😭
I think I've enjoyed Winona Ryder in every role I've seen. I don't remember if I saw Beetlejuice or Heathers first, but they were both good movies, and Winona Ryder was so special in both of those roles.
She disappeared for a while, but when she came back as Joyce in Stranger Things, I was just so amazed that she was so darned good!
I watched Stranger Things for her.
She's freaking amazing! Thank you for reminding me. I love her!
She is one of my favourite actresses, so talented, intelligent and just incredible. I am so so happy she is finally getting to rebuild her career after the media destroyed her.
I grew up with these movies and I tell people, I was goth before goth was goth. They called some of us dirtballs but we actually added style. My alltime favorite story now though, is Little Women because she took a time that was difficult and different for women, and made her character shine in such a supreme human way. It just makes my whole heart smile. I'm trying to share this with my kids too.
I LOVE YOU WINONA ❤
Winona is Everything!! I still remember seating on the couch with my Mom and covering my eyes with a blanket through some scary moments while watching Beetlejuice! It was our every year tradition… I was 8 years old when I saw it for the very first time, now I’m 32 and I can’t wait to take my Mom to the Cinema and after all this years see what happened with our favourite characters… Thank You Tim and My privet nr 1 - Winona Ryder for making me sooo damn happy emotional! Love To all 🤙🙏🍀🌸🙌💎🪲
Girl, Interrupted is one of my all time favourites. I can always rewatch, even if just to say the lines with them.
Same here. I even read the novel. It was highly underrated film. Overrated by Angelina but Winona And Brittany were incredible as well. It's such a female empowering movie in many ways. These weren't perfect women trying to be perfect, they were more honest and broken.
Winona has been one of my top favorite actors. I feel in love with her in Mermaids. After watching that 10x I sought to watch every movie she played in. I Still love seeing her act and can’t get enough of her.
What a Queen, a legend, an icon, and she is the cutest and most down to earth celebrity ever ❤❤❤
I loved this interview. She is a pleasure to listen to and a great actress.
Winona forever! ❤ I love every single film she’s been in. Top 5
Reality bites. The Crucible. Night on Earth. Dracula. Little women.
I was looking for a Night on Earth comment! Love Winona in that
Thank you for mentioning little women! It took far longer than it should to find that movie mentioned in a comment
@@arwenmoczygemba4842Little Women (1994) is absolutely my favorite adaptation and one of my favorite films. I remember seeing it in theaters when I was so young that I didn’t fully comprehend how long ago the 1860s were (I vividly remember believing my grandmother, who was born in 1925, grew up like the March sisters 😂). Now it is the film I regularly revisit when I need to feel that soothing balm of familiarity, family and love.
American culture misses u and needs u. A truly UNDERRATED beauty and talent. Her performance in Dracula was iconic . Let em hate baby girl. Shine on. CLASSICALLY BEAUTIFUL
