My personal favourite moment to ever happen on Graham's show is the Chris O'Dowd fly incident. If you haven't watched it yet, I highly recommend. Makes me laugh every time I watch it.
Yeah, it's crazy how effortlessly the entire show seems to go. Graham can bring out the best in people. All American talk shows suck compared to his. Colbert, Fallon, Kimmel all seem so forced and disingenuous compared to Norton, and they're also less funny even though they rehearse everything. Conan is funny, but also seems forced sometimes.
Niamh, I totally agree and I am from the US, have been watching them for 30+ years. lol Though I have fond memories as a kid staying up late (think it came on at 11pm in NYC) watching Arsenio Hall. :) Thankfully we have BBC America channel and so I've been watching Graham for years now. :)
This is the kind of talk show that most of America lacks. The amazing thing about Graham is that he has the ability to make the guests relax. He gives them alcohol and doesn't ask too many questions... all the guests interact and Graham just joins the conversation its basically just a bunch of celebs chilling out and drinking x

It's true. American hosts are always going on about themselves while trying to be funny (and, therefore attention-grabbing). Graham Norton keeps the focus on his guests, reminding us who we're really there to watch - the celebrities! And, consequently we enjoy watching him, too!
Corden has taken the "couch" format and adapted it to American late night while still making the overall show his own. Its close without copying Graham explicitly but you can tell he's paying homage to the format made infamous by him.
It's amazing to me how he juggles the guests and they get equal attention, how he directs the conversation to lead into another guests story (amazing research too) and making it flow in a natural way. The wit it takes to be so funny at need and the intelligence to orchestrate the show on the fly are the reasons why I think this is the best chat show I've ever seen.
I can't forget how Graham bullied Jade Goody so mercilessly on his show and had the gaul to meet her straight out of the BB house before she had chance to see any of it. If he did it today he would be cancelled immediately. Plain nasty imo.

I just realized, Graham Norton and his staff research every last detail of all the guests that come. They do a lot of hardwork💜 The detailed information he gives is amazing! It makes it more fun!
Matt Damon is smart, great actor, good looking, and has a great sense of humor. And also appears to be a nice man as I haven’t heard of any personal flaws like cheating etc.. that are very common in Hollywood. His wife, kids, parents must be proud of him
IF I was ever to forget the rest of Graham Norton's shows - I will always remember what Matt Damon said at the end there ~ it's the biggest possible compliment to Mr Norton from a very fine & funny young man.
I love watching this show. Graham is a fantastic host, who really enjoys seeing his guests relax and have a good time. We get a glimpse of their real personalities when they're having fun and interacting with each other, and Graham is such a nice guy, happy to let them loose 😄 ☘🍾
This is arguably the finest ever edition of The Graham Norton Show; (The one with Matt Damon, Hugh-Bon and Bill Murray. That’s why it’s the most fun Matt had ever had on a talk show.
Graham Norton is probably the best talk show host in history. His ability to make three guests gel together and laugh at themselves is unsurpassed. Gay Byrne from RTE in Ireland was amazing. Norton is all that and more.
I've lived through all the classic talk-show hosts, going back to Parkinson, and Graham Norton is by far the best, in my 'umble opinion - he's natural, and knows just when, and what, to interject. Always a pleasure.
@@deathbeforedecaf7755 Conan is on the spectrum. Neither funny nor intelligent and with zero class 😆. He probably just appeals to you cause you're just as slow and unfunny 😂
Graham is very tenacious with his humour and very relaxed style in interviews. I Remember this guy in father Ted. Irish humour is hilarious. Nobody feels too uncomfortable on his show and UK gets away with more This show has been running since i was a kid!
What separates the greats, such as Norton or Craig Ferguson, is that they are actors and not just sketch comics or standup comedians, so they create moments for the guests to shine without looking for a killer punchline or throwing to some pre-recorded gag bit in which they star.
Love ur show. This episode Ive watched at least 50 times. Bill Murray's laughs are so genuine & the entire show had such a positive vibe. Always cheers me up when I'm down.
Graham is by far the best talk show host ever! In the US, we get the same dribble on every talk show and they are unwatchable; everyone he has on seems to have so much fun and he's masterful at keeping it light, moving it in different directions which also bring hilarity. Just can't say enough about how good he is....
Graham is the best.. it's what the American ones try to be. Guest actually sit, finish their thoughts and talk to each other. Instead of the rehearsed lines.
Graham Norton is superb & is very good at keeping the topic of politics at bay, making his show much more enjoyable than American shows overall. His guests genuinely seem to be having a great time!
I watched that show. Matt, Bill and Hugh were promoting the film Monuments Men, I think. Right off the bat they downed their drinks and they were off and running! By the end of the show they were all really "happy", Hugh wanted to sit in the Big Red Chair and Bill Murray was totally blotto. One of the funniest episodes I've ever seen!

*Other celeb best moments:* talking about their childhoods, reminiscing about other famous people, stories about acting
*Matt Damon best moments:* Chugging back half a bottle of champagne
This isn't a talk show this feels like highschool friends meeting up again and talking about what had gone off in their lives after highschool and college, while also reminiscing in the embarrassing times together. That's what it feels like to me. Whenever I get bored I watch these ans they make me smile without fail.
I think it’s the best time all of Graham’s guests have ever had on a talk show. He is the best!
His wife, kids, parents must be proud of him
I love the fact Matt Damon just comes across like a down to earth guy rather than as a “celebrity “
Most of them probably are they are still only people remember
So many great shows. Really enjoy the ones with Matt Damon on. You can see it's always a joy for him to be there.
IF I was ever to forget the rest of Graham Norton's shows - I will always remember what Matt Damon said at the end there ~ it's the biggest possible compliment to Mr Norton from a very fine & funny young man.
true
He's 50 plus... Young...?
@@tariqmalik1177 It all depends on your perspective, some of us are VERY old.LOL
@@26faraway a lesson I will be sure to remember. I hope to be blessed with very old age one day
I'd say Matt Damon is a very genuine person. No notions about himself, just so sweet.
I really like Matt Damon he seems so down-to-earth and mega cool I'd totally have a beer with that man
Karen Brown I'd love to do more than have a beer....
@@pnklady3788 so like two beers? No one likes a alcoholic
@@pnklady3788 Steer him towards your lady sandwich.
This is the most fun I've ever had watching a talk show. Nothing comes close. Absolute brilliance.
I love watching this show. Graham is a fantastic host, who really enjoys seeing his guests relax and have a good time. We get a glimpse of their real personalities when they're having fun and interacting with each other, and Graham is such a nice guy, happy to let them loose 😄 ☘🍾
How humble and cool Matt Damon is.i m big fan of him
This is arguably the finest ever edition of The Graham Norton Show; (The one with Matt Damon, Hugh-Bon and Bill Murray. That’s why it’s the most fun Matt had ever had on a talk show.
How adorable is Matt Damon!!
Graham Norton is probably the best talk show host in history. His ability to make three guests gel together and laugh at themselves is unsurpassed.
Gay Byrne from RTE in Ireland was amazing. Norton is all that and more.
Matt Damon saying its " the most fun I've ever had on a talkshow " is so great !
The video title says that too but if you go to 6:40, you'll hear what Matt REALLY says.
This is one if not the only favorite talk show. It's just sit back, laugh and enjoy!❤🙏💜
I've lived through all the classic talk-show hosts, going back to Parkinson, and Graham Norton is by far the best, in my 'umble opinion - he's natural, and knows just when, and what, to interject. Always a pleasure.
Matt Damon seems like a fantastic guy.. much appreciated!
This show is 100% unrivalled.
Graham is the best talk show host right now!
kartikeya srivastava ever 💯😊
Conan O Brien is funnier and more intelligent
No he isn't.
+watertownnative you are irrelevant and have been weighed, measured and found wanting..an average mute pedestrian TTVOMJ
@@deathbeforedecaf7755 Conan is on the spectrum. Neither funny nor intelligent and with zero class 😆. He probably just appeals to you cause you're just as slow and unfunny 😂
Best talk show ever and absolutely entertaining.
Graham is very tenacious with his humour and very relaxed style in interviews. I Remember this guy in father Ted. Irish humour is hilarious. Nobody feels too uncomfortable on his show and UK gets away with more
This show has been running since i was a kid!
“I’ve never seen this colour before and now I see it on 3 men at once” 😂😂👍🏻
" have a go at Matt day "
I broke my toe feel depressed. This is the best show ever!!! It always makes me feel better. Thank you so much!!!!
I agreed !he is the greatest. The guest are fantastic. No filters.
Best guests, hilariously funny!! The combination of Damon, Murray and Bonneville is magic.
Matt Damon is such a nice guy for giving Graham the complement he deserves!! The only talk show where im not getting annoyed by host
4:20 I´ve never even seen this color, and now I see it on three men at once.
This left me in stitches.
Matt laughs so genuinely. It’s contagious
Genuinely what?
@@marksantiago9841 Its a movie refrence
You guys all seem so comfortable together, thank you for the fun. And l have never seen that red until now either.
“And Jason Bond is fine too” top notch recovery 😂😂😂
James Bourne is probably sitting at home like "Matt Damon said my name!!!" (The guy from Busted)
Is he the bald old guy?
adad nah he’s got blonde hair Matt Willis has a shaved head
Graham is by far the best talk show host ever! In the US, we get the same dribble on every talk show and they are unwatchable; everyone he has on seems to have so much fun and he's masterful at keeping it light, moving it in different directions which also bring hilarity. Just can't say enough about how good he is....
Graham is the best.. it's what the American ones try to be. Guest actually sit, finish their thoughts and talk to each other. Instead of the rehearsed lines.
I really like Matt. He reminds me of my brother and my dad, but more outgoing. He’s one of my favorites
His smile is the most wholesome smile i have ever seen❤
Graham Norton is superb & is very good at keeping the topic of politics at bay, making his show much more enjoyable than American shows overall. His guests genuinely seem to be having a great time!
This show is definitely shot in a magic place, every guest becomes interesting to listen to even Jessica Chastain!
Its true! Graham has a natural fix with the guests and audience! Its a candid no-nonsense moment of hilarious interviews. Gotta love it!
That episode with Bill Murray is one of my Top 3 Graham Norton episodes. Sooooo good!
It doesn't get any better than this, Matt is great on interviews and talk shows.💯❤️
The best talk show host ever.
