@Bless Definitely! I saw an interview with Michelle Yeoh where she explained that she and Jackie Chan were blacklisted by every insurance company in Hollywood so they had to do all this crazy stunts without insurance. There was a scene were Michelle Yeoh should jump from one driving car to the other through a windshield (!) but the windshield did not break and she was hanging on the hood of that car and was slowly sliding down. Jackie grapped her and threw her to the side otherwise she would have ended under the car. According to her he gave her a little spin otherwise she would have landed on her head. So she fell just from a driving car onto the concrete. After that she got a short break and then they started shooting the scene again because they couldn't afford to stop the shoot because they had no insurance. Tom Cruise is a crazy guy compared to everyday people but these old school hongkong martial artists are a league of their own. And the craziest american actor of all times when it comes to stunts was most likely Buster Keaton.
It’s not really possible to compare. Many actors do their own stunts. Insurance is all about money and value. Ofcourse Tom is far more valuable as an actor but he can call the shots on his movies as he’s the producer. He’s the boss. I just appreciate that there are still actors like them that respect that practical effects will always be better than cgi. Ofcourse cgi is needed in some scenes but lately it’s used too much in modern movies and it’s embarrassing

Tom is a very rare combination of emotional + intellectual depth and muscular + speedy stunts.
Matt Damon already a great guy. But it's so great to hear really great people compliment other great people. And truly great people actually sell you on other great people.
Haaa hilarious "...so I get another safety guy". Haha
I want to see a crossover: Ethan Hunt vs. Jason Bourne vs. John Wick
Imagine them all teaming up to fight mobsters or terrorists or whatever... Oh , boy, I'd hate to be those guys xD
@@hylianchriss i'd imagine them fight each other to death, them teaming up is too OP.
You mean WITH. Not VS.
I didn't realise how badly I needed this in my life until you mentioned it. Yes. Someone make it happen.
we can only offer you Rambo sorry.
actually Ethan hunt+jack Ryan would be good teammates btw😏
The last MI movie was crazy. The dude learned how to fly a helicopter and do stunt tricks. Bonkers.
Matt Damon is such an amazing actor! Guy went from doing a kickass Tom Cruise impression to just switching to a Southern accent in seconds.
I love how his body language immediately turns from relaxed to high-strung when he does his Tom Cruise impression.
Would love to see Tom and Matt in a movie together.
Just for their love scene.
Wow, I always thought Matt Damon was quite funny but never thought he could be this funny when telling stories.....that was hilarious!
I like Jackie’s reaction:
“Rolling, camera, action, jump, cut, hospital.”
“I told Mr Cruise he could jump off that building.” And Tom breaks his ankle. Great tie in there.
*Tom Cruise buys a big mirror then stands in front of it*
Tom: Say hello to my new safety guy!
tom cruise sitting on top of burj khalifa and taking selfie was the coolest thing ever
I was living in Dubai when Cruise was doing the stuff at the Burj Khalife.
I had just gotten there and for several days when I was taken the Metro (their rail system) from Diera (the older part of Dubai... if by older you mean built in the 80s lol) to Mall of the Emirates in Al Barsha and part of that would take you past downtown and Dubai Mall, and you would see the helicopters they would be using to film it.
I of course didn't see up close what was going on, but it was interesting to know that I was there when it was being filmed.
I love Matt when he tells these stories! This one is absolutely one of my favorites though.
That Tom Cruise impression 👌
He was channeling a little bit of Mathew McConaughey there at the end...😆😂🤣
🤣Every time a new Tom Cruise spectacular comes out, I come back to 2:34!
The Safety Guy is just Tom Cruise's mirror reflection.
That was really funny. I love when actors tell stories about Tom Cruise
Matt Damon is one of that rare celebrity who has got a classy sense of humor! Intelligent, super cool, talented, Nice but no way boring.
Finally!! a guest that I know
3:18 - 3:30 😂
He brought that joke home, wrapped for Mama! 😂
fangirling about Tom Cruise
lol- his dumb safety guy impression had a southern drawl
Tom Cruise is a freaking legend!
He hired Jacky chan's Safety guy 😂😂😂
2:36 this is funny every time, and Matt Damon is so amazing to really set it up so well.
"he said he could do it and I believed him"
😂 😂 😂 💀
Tom also told Ben he’s gonna dance in fat suit in tropical thunder -)
