He actually does all his own driving, because according to the stunt co-ordinatior he doesn't have anyone as good as Tom
Everyone always talks about Tom's lap, but Diaz had an amazing lap. She also doesn't seem like the type of person who would know how to drive a manual, but she killed it. Probably the best celeb in a reasonably priced car ever in top gears history.

A celebrity in america is like a rich child in a sheltered home. They havent had like. REAL experiences, everyting is so fake and fabricated, thats probably one of the first times they actually got to go in a car that wasnt there, where everything wasnt under their control, and had a bit of real fun. lol

@@realchilldude1271 I'm sure that's the case for some celebs who really do give most celebs a bad rep, but it is a generalisation. There was a time where Tom Cruise was light with the whole Oprah thing but people who work with him have all said he is a consummate professional and super generous. I really doubt he likes to be driven around, he is a hands on actor who does most of his own stunts, not just his own stunts but stunts that no other Hollywood actor would even dare.
Stunt pilot, regular pilot, stunt helicopter pilot, does his own stunt car driving and motorcycle stunt riding, drives F1 car almost as fast as a formula 1 driver, highly under rated actor and genuinely nice guy. What a guy.

Just watched this again in 2021, both Cam and Tom looked genuinely happy & enjoying themselves here. Don’t think i have ever seen Tom & Cam look this happy in any other interviews.
Have you seen the movie they were in together? It's tack sharp and hilarious. Their chemistry in it is perfect. (Sorry if that is why this was posted, I have not read all he comments or watched all of the Top Gear video.)

I think they just enjoyed being on a show where they could be themselves and not have to answer the same old boring questions and say the same old spiel about their movie.

Considering they are used to drive on the other side, with automatic gear, this was quite a extraordinary performance.
Tom and Cameron seem to have great friendship. He seems so affectionate towards his female friends. I've seen his interactions with other women, eg Gwyneth Paltrow, Rosie, Oprah, he seems to have genuine affection for them, who may or may have thirsted after him at one point in their lives haha. When he tells Cameron, "good luck", he looked like a sweet, supportive older brother. My heart.

Tom cruise is one of the most genuine down to earth ppl on the planet. Hardest working actor. Puts 110 percent into every one of his films. Does all his own stunts. And is one of the greatest actors ever. And here, you can tell he's a genuine fan and looked suprised so fuck the scientology hate for tom cruise.
