She deserves an Emmy nomination for S2E6.
an Emmy win, actually 😂
her best performance
And the emmy goes to... *Angela Basset*
Gotta disagree. Her acting was overwrought, overacted & overreaching. She was a "star" attempting to play an important character role & she did NOT do it justice**. Her role, Sarah Paulson's role & John Mulvaney roles should have been played by "no-name" actors, OR, fantabulous character actors like Bob Odenkirk & Olivia Coleman who are able don the cloak of the character & you don't even think of all the accolades they've received
Olivia Coleman should be nominated for playing Chef in the Forks episode ( Ebon too) - Her acting was understated & ABSOLUTELY beautiful.
*** I come from a HUGE Italian-American family with loads of mental issues- so I know what I know
This past Emmys were for season 1 so she may still get the nod.
She definitely deserves an award for her portrayal of Donna.
Shocked she wasn't nominated...
@@rpbphx no that was for season 1. she'll probably be nominated for the 2025 emmys
It'll be a second Emmy this year to nominate the 2023 year
She will absolutely win the Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series this fall. I can't imagine who could beat her.
@@deafgd2402 Correct - the Emmy eligibility window each year is from June 1 of the previous year to May 31st of the current year. The Bear Season 1 came out in June 2022, so it was one of the very first shows of the 2022-23 TV season. The Emmys are normally held in September before the start of the network seasons, but the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes forced them to move the 75th awards ceremony to January 2024. The 76th Emmy Awards will be held this September, and The Bear S2 (released June 2023) will be eligible then.
She ATE DOWNNNN in The Bear
DOWN DOWN
Devoured.
She’s smart enough to listen to opportunities when they present themselves and to know what to do with them - not everyone can do that.
We need to have enough confidence in ourselves to be willing to be wrong. It can be a lifelong journey.
During the last part of her interview she said it wasn’t always like that. She had been presented parts before that could have made her an even bigger star earlier but didn’t take them - Chicago and Aliens come to mind. Those movies made Sigourney Weaver and Catherine Zeta Jones megastars. It’s not that she had the smarts for it: she just kept trying and trying, and now she has an Oscar and a career resurgence not usually seen for women her age.
Exactly...that's what I got...she kept trying and trying@@ifannecandoitsocani7288
I love Jamie's confidence
Sagittarius spirit !
Well every once in a while I’ll look at her in trading places or even True Lies and she deserves that confidence.
She is so inspirational! I love her!
She is such an awesome storyteller.
I loved The Bear! Super excited for season 3! The first two seasons were amazing!
Jamie is such a breath of fresh air 😊 she deserves her success
That scene was , at the same time, the most uncomfortable and fantastic performance I recall seeing on TV...Ever. I sat on the edge of my seat crawling out of my skin but loving every second of it.
She is intuitive!!! ❤ love her!!
We love you Jamie. 🥰
Ordering the book today for my twin granddaughters 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ thank you Mrs. Curtis
I love her so much not only is Jamie Lee Curtis a great actress but also a tremendous storyteller I can listen to her all day long
As I look back over the past six decades of my life, I can see where I repeatedly stated goals for myself to live and work and do things all over this country and most of them have come true because I believed it and started making moves that aligned with them.
Watching That dinner episode felt so long & crazy almost like being there. Family dysfunction is a rollercoaster Bring on S3 !
What's amazing here is JLC's humility. She is well aware that she is almost like Hollywood royalty because of her parents yet she has no qualms fan-girling about her recent luck with awards and roles, and supporting her friends. Legend!
The writing in this is so phenomenal that I appreciate them bringing up support group Al-anon into the story line. Any one who lived with an addict will recognize the family dynamics/roles each family member plays in the alcoholic home environment.
Jamie should host a show she’d be great
She is too good to be part of.
Yea, she's way to good for this this clown show
loved Jamie Lee Curtis's story on how she got the role, inspirational!
I love JLC but also the confidence of someone who grew up with very famous movie star parents
as far as learning how subconscious mind works. what Jamie lee Curtis did was exactly that, once you want it, its already yours, so feel as if you already own that to spend your days keeping good vibes, and it will come to you. your ego will give you hard time believing it. we are so brainwashed to believe something totally different, but it could be that easy to get what you want🥰
Yesssss
Jamie Lee Curtis🎉👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏We can actually feel your Joy ❤
I’ve always been a huge JLC fan. So pleased she finally got all the recognition.
Love Jamie Lee Curtis!
dana t.
She is special
Great story 💜
Wow!!! Just love her, growing up I didn’t know she was this type of person, Such a cool spirit! God has definitely favored her! Especially when you’ve suffered in peace!
Love Jamie Lee Curtis... You're awesome!!!!!
Regular 27 year old view watcher here.
Met my date two weeks ago off of a dating app. One of our first messages was me saying I had been wanting to visit his home country but doubt I ever will bc there’s a slim likelyhood of me actually going (he’s American born, but visit every now and again). He jokingly/flirtatiously replied that I should manifest it, I jokingly said I will. We’ve had a handful of dates so far and he’s been super sweet and is extremely intelligent.
It’s only been two weeks. This would be my first real relationship, since I’ve never really dated, if things go well.
I’m now kinda excited to “manifest” it. I have a deep feeling if I keep going along with it, even if I’m a little uncomfortable/hesistant with the newness of a relationships/intimacy, that things will work out if I don’t chicken out. I’ve always ended things in dating because I would get scared or feel awkward with new things, so now I’m going to actually try to go with the flow and not abruptly end things.
I’ll comment back sometime again to update people if anyone cares haha.
I believe in manifesting things that you want.
She is awesome ❤
She’s wonderful! So down to earth and lovely! Sounds like she has a direct line to the Universe!!
Met her with my mom at an LA spot and she was so sweet.
i had no idea it was her until this video!! she’s unrecognisable in the role
I love Jamie but the only thing that gets me in all her interviews is how long she can take a short story and go all around the world to tell it lol
We love her. She's an icon!
She is amazing brilliant actriss, she did the Activia comercial her carrier has being up and down, i am so proud of her oscar and than she had a comeback
I love Jamie Lee. She describes my life trajectory perfectly. Another Jamie, author Jamie Ford, described a group who were out of the mainstream and artistically inclined as, "a herd of unicorns." So wonderful to hear our cohort represented. 💖
I love Jamie Lee Curtis
I love her so much.
Everything she does is second to none..too much talent..love her..
truly amazing human being!
Jamie is a National treasure
Love her voice and everything about her
I love this soooo much!!!! Gave me chills! ❤
I’d looooove for her to guest host
What an incredible performance. Must’ve been exhausting
Manifesting is just knowing it’s gonna be yours, whatever you want. Control your thoughts. Keep your focus on it.
❤❤❤❤❤ needed this story. Thank you JLC✨✨
I swear she looks younger than this same time last year. What a year she had!
She’s so cool
Jamie is a whimsical bag of something. She sounds touched.
Tía Jamie!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
This was probably the only accurate portrayal of mental illness that I have ever seen on tv or film. It was amazing and beautiful and horrifying. Well done!
i love jamie
Loud 👏 applause 🎉❤
I LOVE Jamie Lee Curtis.
I adore this lady.🎬🎥🍿
Amazing,.. 🙏🙏
Jamie ci trols the table and conducts her own interview 😁
Seriously lol
I love her!
Love Jamie Lee Curtis!!!
LOVE.
Chills!!! 😮❤
that role was insane
She nailed it
Manifestingggggg
Fantastica!!
At the 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards JamieLeeCurtis will win
Programmed to receive! ❤
How has Whoopi and Jamie never been in a movie together? I now need a 2024 movie starring these two legends in a film.
1:31 wholesome moment ha
The eligibility period for the 75th awards show is June 1, 2022-May 31, 2023. That means that only the first season of The Bear - which premiered June 23, 2022 - is on the table for this year's Emmys, the first time the show is eligible to be nominated.
Corey Hendrix, Abby Elliott, Oliver Platt, Ayo Edebiri, Jeremy Allen White, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach on 'The Bear'. CHUCK HODES/FX
So while Curtis, Odenkirk, John Mulaney, Sarah Paulson, Gillian Jacobs, Will Poulter, Olivia Colman, Robert Townsend, and Sarah Ramos won't be nominated this year for The Bear, they'll definitely be on the menu for possible 2024 Emmy nominations - along with the rest of the cast and creators for season 2.
She's absurdly good.
Donna was two seconds from a heart attack. That show is so stressful lol.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
She’s also a nepo baby and massively privileged, so the opportunities are kind of always surrounding her in a way. Inspirational nonetheless, but we can’t just ignore that.
She's acted since 1977,
and written 13 children's books,
one graphic novel. ...
...started a podcast, and is philanthropic. ...
She never rests on her laurels,
and EARNED her life rewards.
@@mykingdomforak9 Yes, and she got that first acting gig..... because she was a nepotism baby. Not saying she's never worked hard, I'm saying she didn't start from 0 like most people.
So.. what are u suggesting we need to do?
@@bihearts Honestly, I've seen a rise in popularity for spirituality in the past few years, especially online & the overestimation of the ''manifestation'' thing. I have no problem with Jamie Lee Curtis, or with anyone who grew up privileged & is actively benefitting from it because that's the point (as long as they are good people and actually working hard like she did), but I think that the attitude of ''I manifested this life'' without being honest about the very real privileges that contributed a lot more to her achieving all of this than just ''wishing for it'' is harmful & misleading, especially to other people who don't have the same opportunities who might think that this lifestyle is available to them. Ultimately, I don't think ''we'' need to do anything but understand that JLC didn't just ''manifest'' a role in The Bear (the same year she won an Oscar) & just wished celebs were more upfront about everything that is included in their success. It's like they try so hard to sell us this dream that ''if it can happen for me, it can happen for you'' without mentioning the money & connections they have in the background that most people don't have ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I didn’t have a clue ... She started to look familiar nearer the end and it wasn’t until her final scene, a shock: Jamie Lee Curtis.
I've never heard of the show "The Bear." Which channel is it on?
It's on Hulu and it's fantastic
I’m going to meet Jamie Lee Curtis
Just seeing her face in the thumbnail and thinking about that character made me anxious.
Good one Jamie
Where did Ana go
I can see it offered to Sharon strone
I recently found out she's good friends with Jodie Foster, so I wonder if Foster was offered Donna first. Whoever it was, I'm glad they turned it down. JLC was phenomenal in this role.
I've read somewhere that Michelle Pfeiffer was offered the role of Donna.
Just give her the EMMY now, and while we're at it, give her one for her part in Reno 911 episode 2
A lady whos played every single part reMARKably!....
God is great...❤
What book is she talking about?
shes just dope
Embrace change.
They probably pre-taped the interview on a different day Ana wasn’t there.
Not to take away from JLC, but it also helps to be JLC
You think? 🤣
Maybe ill try that.
Jamie, she's a nepo baby who comes from a long line of acting royalty……. and manifested this role…..😏but I still love her, she was absolutely fudging amazing as Dee Berzatto.
That was the longest sentence in the world.
I knew I would marry my husband when I was 5. I married him when I was 25
I love this and I love her! But this isn't much a "manifestation" story. She's Jamie Lee Curtis. Not only were her parents in the industry, but she's appeared in over 100 combined movies and TV shows. It would make perfect sense they'd cast her in The Bear, that she could look at a guy's photo and marry him, write a children's book, etc. Does she not know who she is?
The waa Jammie Lee Curtis? I didnt even recognize her!
Oh wow... I think whoopie voted for Jamie 😮
