I have the 3.0 TD6 version (2002 model), so one of the first to roll off the production line. Had it 10 years, spent a fair bit (including new gearbox) and it’s in pristine condition, fully rustproofed every year. I rive it to the Alps every winter for ski season, on winter tyres, and it’s unstoppable on steep snow covered roads (unless I want it to, obviously.) There’s a vid of it on my channel.
Great video. I have a 2008 SC 4.2. It's my baby. MPG well if you have to ask it's not for you lol Normally around town it's 18ish!! Put your foot down and watch the fuel go down! Your car looks the same as mine except for the obvious facelift updates. Once driven, you'll alwayswant one. The ride is so smooth and quiet.
interesting,i have a shogun 3.2 and would to change for a tdv8.just hear so many bad things, also could you not lower it on the air suspension for dogs to get in,i have dogs as well
Yes, you could but not lower it enough. We’d still end up picking them up! The steps are actually really quick and easy to use and we wouldn’t be without them
Reality is that they are on par with each other .... having similar gear and power trains. The factor that may get the L322 ahead is being older - driver may be willing to get it nearer edge than the 405 guy !
Great Video. I recently purchased a 2012 in Orkney Grey (i'm based in the States) and have already had the chance to tow and go off-roading in mine (after a healthy dosage of work to get it back to where it needed to be). It's an amazing truck! I absolutely love mine. I only wish Florida wasn't so flat because I'd love to take it off roading again (did it in North Carolina and LOVED it)
The ZF6 speed is known as the most unreliable box fitted .... and the 3.6 in real tests is less economic to run than the 4.4. The ZF8 with the 4.4 is a far better box all round.

Great video and great channel. I'm really enjoying your videos. My only recommendation would be to perhaps upgrade your video quality to 2k or 4k.
Thanks for the feedback 👌
Great video! Love mine, wouldn’t have anything else!
I enjoyed watching this video and look forward to see part 2.
Good vid, I love your L322. Keep it as is, silver wheel and tints look very classy. I drive a Touareg😂 I love that too.
Where did you buy the dog steps? Great videos by the way 👍
Off eBay - they work great and the dogs love them 👍🏻
Loved mine but love my l405 it’s light years different
Pretty sure the elements on the side windows are actually the aerials for DAB and FM 👍
Have you knackered your front knuckle yet?

I think off-road the 405 is better than l322

Congrats- very nice, almost as good as my 2016 Disco 4 🤣
Not heated elements in the rear side windows. It’s the radio aerial
Is it? 😂 I feel I right plonker! I wondered why you’d want/need the side demisted! Thanks for the info 👍🏻
@@FastandFun It is, yes. We all make mistakes and learn from them.
@@robholland1937 absolutely 💯
@@FastandFun also the two vertical strips on the rear window are part of the aerial as well.
Best car ever
Great video I have the 3.6 black in Sweden it is a nice place to be when driving. Not many of them left here either
TDV8 3.6 with that 6 speed is the best variant in my eyes.

Correct ..... do not forget the Gearbox or transverse oils .... they can go 5 - 6 yrs - but its good to change them.
