This is my 4th L322 and 9th Range Rover, Its a 2011 4.4 vogue SE TDV8 and had 110.000 miles on it when I bought it 2 years ago. It's in Galway Green with cream leather and electronic courtesy deployable side steps. I'm told it's the perfect colour (as per her late Majesty's car) and according to my local 4 x 4 dealer he definitely wants first refusal if I sell it which I won't. ever. In the 2 years of ownership I haven't had any issues and still get the same buzz when I climb into the drivers seat as I did the day I got it. If anyone questions the road tax or insurance then they just don't get it. Its just simply a Range Rover thing and simply the best car in the world .

Ive had my 2011 SE for nearly two years, and as another chap has already commented, I still get a thrill out of driving it every day, I absolutely love my L322, I reckon I will never have anything else, as it has been said before, it is the best car in the world.

Ran one for 6 years. Best car ever. Regularly push it over 2500rpm in order to keep the secondary turbo happy 😊

Great video. I know exactly what you mean, I've owned my 2012 4.4TDV8 Westminster for 3 months now, and I really get it now. So glad I didn't go with similar from all the manufacturers you mentioned. It's cost me a bit already with an Andriod/Carplay update, and bits of paintwork to get it up to scratch etc , but I love it. I agree, the suspension is sublime on these things too.

I bought my 2012 L322 in September last year. One owner from new (my MD’s) and it’s the best car I’ve ever owned. Plenty of trips across country and through the Lakes and I couldn’t imagine enjoying driving anything as much as a daily. They’re a fantastic drive and the L322 was the last true Range Rover imo. Everything after is just aimed at the ultra luxury market!
Also, the reason the buttons/dials are so big, is because it was designed to be used with gloves on.. Now that’s design for practicality.

Ditto. Same here. Paid right at the upper end of the scale.. 30,000 miles one owner dec 2012 registered. Faultless, and such a pleasure to drive. Tough enough to not worry about using the loading bay etc, then wash it off and pull up anywhere is style. Beats every luxury car Ive owned in the past including a couple of Bentleys. I love it.

Fantastic car!, you mention bad depreciation, i think the l322 have gone as low as they will now, theres a few top examples on trader for 25-30k, seems green ones go for more, great vid👍

Thanks for the video. Just started my 4th year of ownership in my 2012 AB 4.4 TDV8. Regularly use for long trips across UK and Europe. Loads of preventative maintenance to keep in good order. 2nd turbo always gets a work out once warmed up. Just fitted a set of General Grabber AT3 tyres. These cars don't make financial sense, they are expensive, but knew that when I bought it. It's a great vehicle, fun to drive and wouldn't be without it! Look forward to the next video!

Hi, great videos, I am on the cusp of purchasing an L322, I keep putting it off thinking it is financial suicide, but as you say if you go into it with your eyes wide open you then know what to possibly expect. Like you I am looking for something that has been looked after and has good history. Thanks for some good info 👍

Spend properly, buy as late a version as you can (2012) and keep owners now. It's the ones that have been passed around by owners expecting the full experience for £3k or so, and then failed to maintain them that drives them into the ground and gives them a bad rep. Mine has been perfect. Zero issues. If you get a good one they are incredible machines, and I'd take it over the later model any day. Upgrade the AV system with Apple car play so the tech is up to date (£700) and you're good to go.

Agree with everything you have said, the ‘feeling’ etc is priceless. In the words of Matt from HP Autos ‘you either get it or you don’t’….and I do! Mine is a modest 2005 TD6 with 216k currently on the clock and is used daily. If I want speed I just put it in sport and watch it go from 0-60 in 6mins! It does everything I need, serviced regularly (gearbox annually) and when it breaks I just get it fixed. Looking forward to your‘journey’

On my second L322 brilliant but you have to keep on top of maintenance both had well over 100k few oil leaks to be fixed but all in all fabulous

Had mine 11 months now. 2011 Tdv8. Agree with everything you say. Other than servicing I have spent £1000 on tyres (only because they were old - 3x 2014 and 1x2011, must have been the original spare). £450 on a starter motor, £550 to replace a failed ABS sensor.
They are heavy as you say, you really have to change your driving style as regards braking I have found.
Do I regret it? Not one bit.

65 pound a month on road tax, that’s cheap, in Ireland it’s 2400 euro a year to tax.

The nearest replacement for this vehicle would be LR4 Discovery HSE Luxury 2014-2016 model, that’s the nearest to it in driving dynamics and just shy of a similar spec! 🚗🤓🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
