  • In this video I want to talk a bit about why I picked the chemistry major and the thought process of why I picked chemistry as my major as opposed to physics or biology. I also want to talk about my regrets picking the chemistry major and the main issues I have ran into with it to give people a sense of some of the downsides as opposed to other STEM majors.

I also thought that chemistry was very interdisciplinary. I was wrong therefore ended up changing my major to physics because I enjoyed the limited physics courses I took more so than the actual chem courses

@@edwardotieno3264hi! I’m a sophomore chem student, who has been thinking about this type of stuff after undergrad.
Have you made it into a grab program for material science? If so, can you give me your thoughts / advice on it?
What do you like, not like
Did a undergrad in chem prepare you for the grad program
Is the effort and journey worth it?

I'm a Physics/structural/CAD person, but agree, Chem. is the "center of the universe". I will say, if Chem. dudes are all as good looking as Zahl Azizi I would definitely consider going back to uni, doing chem. as a hard science, as a "Mature ager" LOL. But seriously Chemistry is art in a way, knowledge is everything, there is so much more to life than graduating quickly with something to get a big salary. If I have regrets in life it was that I did the degree that would get ++Job ++++Salary, instead of following my heart, and learning interesting stuff, like a Chemistry Major!

I left a Chem degree to do nursing but I miss chemistry sooo much. I’m finishing nursing degree next year and I’m debating grad entry med but my heart is so with Chem. Debating medicinal Chem degree but I really am lost when it comes to job prospects😅?! Heart is with Chem though… would mean I’d have to save up to pay for a whole degree tho😭

Switch now, go to CS, Engineering or Healthcare. If you stay you are setting up yourself for low paying jobs and life is hard now than ever 🤣

@@AfroMedic healthcare is a joke, unless you got lucky and went to med school.
Im pharm d student and i just found out that it is the most saturated major in health care which means it won't make me work full time which will result in low pay 🙂.
I'm thinking about medical lab science and nursing but i don't know now because i hated every healthcare fields.
Anyway CS and engineering are the best choices.
