  • Chemistry has a few different subfields and what you learn in each of them can vary greatly. It isn't always clear what these fields are or what you actually do in them so I want to explain each subfield of chemistry and maybe give you an idea of where you want to go after your chemistry major.

I find chemistry having a lot of sub fields .my favourites are computational and nano-chemistry

Just what I needed before sleep. Good way to keep you up HAHAHAHAH. I dread for physical chemistry. Although I haven't taken it yet which I'll be next year if I pass this semester, I was wondering any tips to pass and how to go about it? Thanks. Your vids are awesome btw. Keeps me motivated to stay on this path since it can really be overwhelming lol

Physical chem can be a lot of work but here are my tips to make it easier:
Brush up on your calculus before classes start. There is a lot of math in pchem and you don’t want to have to learn two subjects at once
Do a LOT of practice problems. Pchem is basically a math class and you need to practice it as such
Lastly don’t get behind. A lot of stuff in pchem builds off eachother so you won’t have an opportunity to catch up if you get behind.
      It’s totally doable! Good luck!

The first physical chemistry exam in my university is all about thermodynamics in the classical and the statistics point of view as well as comparing them to find that they actually come to the same conclusions but with different principles at the base. It was definitely my favorite course so far! Now that I’ve finished all my exams and l’m about to get my degree I have to choose between physical and analytical chemistry, which is also a love of mine, to continue my studies. It’s a really hard choice ahahahah

i dont know what to choose between organic inorganic and biochemistry all of them sound the most interesting for me along with their sub fields like polymer chemistry agricultural chemistry nano chemistry and materials chemistry etc its probably because im still i havent really taken chemistry yet cause i sorta wasted a year in elementary algebra they didnt let me take any other courses LOL but i passed with a B+ thankfully cause it was easy lol will take pre calc but something interesting i came across recently is chemical biology its basically biochemistry but more focused on chemistry rather than biology like applying chemistry to solve biological problems for example using organic synthesis or chemical probes to investigate a biological system!

You should talk about the pay differences in these fields? Are there differences, if so who pays what?

    Hey ,
What you think is better , as a salary range , Medicinal or Organic Chemistry ?
