    New subscriber here. Fabulous tutorial for this block! I'm deliberating using crumb fabric as a focal sawtooth block in my son's quilt. I have fabrics that I have saved from his 1990's surfer clothing which, of course, is limited and precious to him.

      Thanks for subscribing. Oh wow, that is always sooo hard, to grab fabric that you love and is precious and make a decision on when/where to use it. Good luck!!

    I’m always worried the star points will be cut off when joining blocks together.

    • @WendyJHaney
      @WendyJHaney  4 месяца назад +1

      I understand. Watch your quarter inch seam and then measure around your finished square at the points - do you have a quarter inch from the point to the edge? if so, you'll be fine. And if you loose a little... not the end of the world, will still be fine. 🙂

    Would this be easy to convert to a 10 inch finshed block

    • @WendyJHaney
      @WendyJHaney  5 месяцев назад +1

      You'd do 2.5" finished (3" cut) squares in the corners, and then 5" finished (5.5" cut) square in the middle. Make your Flying geese FINISHED 5" x 2.5" (5.5" x 3" unfinished), using what ever method you choose.

      Thank you for helping me with that. I was trying to do the math. I was correct on most of it. .. my math on the flying geese were off.
