A lot of predators are not pdf files but rather than “opportunistic” predators. Simply having the access through power is enough for them to do it, even if they’re not even attracted to children. It’s not hard to understand why-children are moldable, so if you find one that worships you, it’s easy to mold the relationship to flatter your ego and crap. So many mainstream artists, for instance, believe you can’t trust women, and that’s why you gotta go for young girls to “prove” they don’t have a body count yet. There is nothing wrong legally about you being 40 or whatever age and talking towards anyone who is above the age of consent limit. If we go over to Europe the age of consent differs, as someone below already said. In Germany the age of consent is 14, now of course there may be statutory laws set in place where if one party is below 18 and the other one is above 18, even if that person below 18 is in the age of consent limit then it might be illegal. I will speak for Czechia, my country. The age of consent is 15 and that's it, even if you are 90 you can engage in sexual activities with a person who is 15. Is it smart to have age of consent on 14 or 15? I don't think so since there are a lot of teenagers who really aren't that smart and are still developing which could result in them being manipulated to have sex with them because they are just not that resilient and smart. However that is the legal side of things, all that can be said is that if the age of consent is below 17, you should be wary of your surroundings and just be smart about it.

Except he was paid out by Twitch after they reported him to the feds/office of human trafficking (OTIP I believe). After their investigation not only did they find no laws had been broken but following his ban Doc received a cash settlement from Twitch & both parties signed an NDA. An NDA which was just broken by a twitch employee who’s been trying to use his knowledge of Docs ban to make money for years & who ended up breaking it in the most damning/public way possible. Which almost certainly will mean a second settlement payment to Dr Disrespect from Twitch. If the rumors about the “minor” actually being someone a group of Twitch employees planted to have them message Doc as some sort of honeypot (while illegally viewing/recorded his private messages) in an attempt to get Doc banned as well as arrested by reporting him to the feds. Then there will very likely be new legal consequences coming as well as another settlement for defamation & breaking the NDA. The point being if that is what actually happened (& based on the total silence from both Doc & Twitch this is seemingly more & more likely) then the victim in this whole situation was/is 100% Dr Disrespect. 🤷🏻♂️

well said! i agree. while im a big fan and regular player of genshin and watch some genshin creators i didn’t understand most of what was up with stuff and he explains the meanings of things that other creators would assume you would know if you’re watching something related to, for example, vtubers. and it helps a lot that he explains things that people familiar with the space may find “obvious” like the atsu drama video. it was the only one where i could grasp what was going on because he didn’t go in with the assumption that you’d already heard of it

The amount of predators in social media circles is so disgusting. I guess there’s a certain kind of sickness that’s just more rampant among the types of personalities that make it big.

A lot of predators are not pdf files but rather than “opportunistic” predators. Simply having the access through power is enough for them to do it, even if they’re not even attracted to children. It’s not hard to understand why-children are moldable, so if you find one that worships you, it’s easy to mold the relationship to flatter your ego and crap. So many mainstream artists, for instance, believe you can’t trust women, and that’s why you gotta go for young girls to “prove” they don’t have a body count yet. It doesn’t matter to them that they don’t really connect on a personal/human level, since they as adults have nothing in common with children, because these children become objects of gratification for them.
Im sure there are tons of guys out there with this same mentality, but they don’t act on it as much because they don’t have that ease of access to children the way celebrities do. Plus, you’ll hear more about celebrity cases by virtue of them being celebrities.
It’s super unsettling how common taking advantage of children is simply because it’s easy/ego gratifying. Even now, people are making the “she’s 17 excuse,” like being 17 would somehow make the dynamic less obviously gross. There is nothing wrong legally about you being 40 or whatever age and talking towards anyone who is above the age of consent limit. If we go over to Europe the age of consent differs, as someone below already said. In Germany the age of consent is 14, now of course there may be statutory laws set in place where if one party is below 18 and the other one is above 18, even if that person below 18 is in the age of consent limit then it might be illegal. I will speak for Czechia, my country. The age of consent is 15 and that's it, even if you are 90 you can engage in sexual activities with a person who is 15.
Is it smart to have age of consent on 14 or 15? I don't think so since there are a lot of teenagers who really aren't that smart and are still developing which could result in them being manipulated to have sex with them because they are just not that resilient and smart.

Except he was paid out by Twitch after they reported him to the feds/office of human trafficking (OTIP I believe). After their investigation not only did they find no laws had been broken but following his ban Doc received a cash settlement from Twitch & both parties signed an NDA. An NDA which was just broken by a twitch employee who’s been trying to use his knowledge of Docs ban to make money for years & who ended up breaking it in the most damning/public way possible.
Which almost certainly will mean a second settlement payment to Dr Disrespect from Twitch. If the rumors about the “minor” actually being someone a group of Twitch employees planted to have them message Doc as some sort of honeypot (while illegally viewing/recorded his private messages) in an attempt to get Doc banned as well as arrested by reporting him to the feds. Then there will very likely be new legal consequences coming as well as another settlement for defamation & breaking the NDA.
The point being if that is what actually happened (& based on the total silence from both Doc & Twitch this is seemingly more & more likely) then the victim in this whole situation was/is 100% Dr Disrespect. 🤷🏻♂️

It's just sad to see how easy it is for even the wealthiest, socially accepted streamer to fall for his base desires (as their obviously were) and destroy everything and everyone who was precious to him in the process. I was born in 81, we're typically called "Xennials" because we are kind of unique with when we were born in reference to the internet and cell phones. We didn't grow up with them, but we were teens when it all exploded. So we still remember drinking from the hose and being outside all day long every day we could and also remember the internet taking over our lives as a teen.
