Monthly income after tax sounds straight BS. $11K after tax comes out to 135K per year. There's no way she pays only $10K of income tax per year especially living in NY . The federal income tax rate in her bracket is around 30% and on top of that there's a 9% state income tax. This makes absolutely no sense.

Why is she saving so much when she has $100k in student loans? If she puts $5k a month more for the loans, she'd be finished, give or take, in about 2 years (allotting for added interest); that would still leave $634 per month for savings, which would be $15,216 in 2 years (certainly not as much as she'd have if she continued the $5k per month, but perfectly respectable and much more than most would have in savings).

With student loans the interest isn’t moving anywhere or is very little to none depending on the type.

I find spending sooo much money on weddings such a waste of money. Keep it simple, keep it small (she has to keep it small to stay on budget? why not have something cheaper then?), focus on the experience rather than the material stuff. My BFF spent $10.000 on her dress, and the next day no one even remembered what her wedding gown looked like (cos it looked like any other white dress you'd see). And turn your wedding into a good event by donating/asking for donations for your favourite charity. Share your love.

29 and still 100k in student debt? She needs to pay way more than 1300 a month. At that rate it will take over six years to pay off not counting the interest. If she is 29 and still has 100K in debt she is paying the bare minimum, probably two times the interest.
