This is one of my favorite projects I have seen on sweet digs. I love that she actually rents out her studio loft for projects. I wouldn't be surprised if the $6K a month is covered by her profits. Genius.
Her decor style isn’t mine at all but I love how she owned what she loves and made the apartment such a cheerful and lively place.
70k per year on rent? Can't relate.
It's her workspace though, so I'm sure she writes it off as a business expense. Very smart.
@@rashidamanuel7718 You can write off a portion as a business expense, not your entire monthly rent for the year.
She also said she rents it out as a production studio, so she must make some return on it. Haha but definitely gotta have money to be able to even qualify for a place like that 😅
Right. Ridiculous. One way of staying a millionaire is to have more money coming in rather than going out, especially if it’s not going to belong to you as the end result-My millionaire dad!
@@rashidamanuel7718 as an individual you can only write it off if it’s *solely* used for business but she’s clearly living in it so it’s not permissible. If she has formed a company it may be different.
I feel like it would be impossible for me to feel sad in this loft. The colors and patterns, it's so cheerful I love it 💗
My exact sentiments.
Fun looking apartment...looking at her, the first thing I thought was "if it was possible for Lindsay Lohan & Heather Graham to have a daughter...who raided Elle Woods' closet" 💗💗💗💗!
Her taste is impeccable, love all the pink and use of color! So tired of beige and minimalist apartments 🙄 this was a breath of fresh air
My walls are mint! I wish I had her budget to get some nice wall paper. Maybe in another year. My basement apartment was originally an ugly blue. I love blue as a color and I don’t think a dark color in a basement is necessarily bad but this was a very ugly generic blue. Not at all stylish or complex. By complex, I mean a color that isn’t a primary color. I surprised myself by buying a lot of decor in similar hues of mint, sage, robins egg blue. It’s actually quite soothing. I’m trying to counteract all the mint by putting up wall decor in complimentary colors like purple, pink, teal, and orange. White is soooooo boring.
This woman is a lady after my own heart!!! I love all the pink!!! 🥰 this looks like my dream space!!!! Thank you for sharing
I LOVE this apartment. I love her use of colour. I love the reading nook, the dining area with all the chairs in different colours, I love the pink couch and the pink bookcase. Beautiful! ❤❤❤
this loft is Absolutely stunning. I'm getting so many ideas
What a very very pretty place to live. It’s a little too girly for me but it’s perfect for her. I reflects her personal style and bubbly personality. She did a great job making it her own.
Fab loft space despite the overwhelming pink aesthetic. As an unfortunate lifetime renter (several years in NYC included), even I have to say that it's crazy to be paying 6k a month in rent! Is that rent or her mortgage? At that point, you can find something to buy and own.
Exactly
Although 6k mortgage probably couldn’t afford her a condo of this size? I didn’t crunch the numbers so I could be wrong…
You wouldn't be able to anything anywhere close to this nice for 6k per month mortgage in nyc.
She said "I pay 6.000 a month to rent this space" so it's rent. Can't relate :')
Her rent is likely covered by her renting her Stunningly Beautiful place out, which like another commenter said is ..... Genius!!!!!!
I L💞V E Everything about her place!
😁💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞😁
I’ve been following Rachel for years and it’s so amazing to see her loft featured! Her love of color is gorgeous.
Giving me Vegas vibes. 6k?😩🤯😨😳 she must make 15k a mo
It's Williamsburg so that's expected.
@@princessleah187xx4 she must. she doesn't HAVE to spend 6k to live in williamsburg. she must be able to afford it.
Idk why but I instantly smell cotton candy and freesia looking at her home! 🤩
$6K for a one bedroom....
I mean, 2000 square feet. We own a home that has 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths and it’s just under 2000 square feet and that’s a ton of space.
Such a beautiful and fun space!!! I’m envious!!!
Woah, love what you did with it!! The colors and layout are so cool!
I love sweet dugs! So happy that they add new episodes!!
I love the pink vibe . This is the most beautiful apartment I've seen so far on sweet digs. I love how roomy it is. It's beautifully decorated.
Love the location. Wow, across the street from a park. The pink is you. The built-in book/decor cases are divine. Love the arch at the top; it support the "pink".
Love it!!! But how can she afford 6k just on rent??! What does she do for work??
She's a content creator or influencer.. whatever they're called these days. And she brings in money by renting out the apartment for photoshoots and whatnot. I've been following Rachel on Instagram for years and it's amazing to see what she's accomplished.
@@sweetness371 can't wait to follow her...an original soul
Very cute but 6,000 is unreal
$6,000 a month? Wow. She must be an influencer. Those are the only ones able to live like that
Super smart to make it a production studio and charge ppl to film. It’s very pretty and fem. Definitely fits her personality. A little too much pink for me but definitely tastefully done and not juvenile
The dining chairs 💕💕 love love
I love this series! 💜
Beautiful loft! Her personality shines through her design and decor choices!
Her style is stunning! I love that vanity area and the lipstick wallpaper. I've never heard of her but I need to follow her now!
I absolutely love how fun, bright and whimsical this apartment is. It has such a feminine sophisticated vibe - like grown up boss Barbie. I would have also loved to see where she keeps all her clothes and shoes. Good job R29. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
"grown up boss Barbie" - I love that! Perfect way to describe the style.
She lost me at $6K a month.
I thought the same thing! If monthly payments are over 2k you should be living in a nice ass house somewhere.
@@Sarbeatify not how it works in nyc. I mean, her space is huge... you certainly don't need to spend 6k, but 2k will get you the most basic of basic 1br in a shitty neighborhood, or a 5th floor walk up, or with no dishwasher or laundry. in NYC, a 1br in a good area with all the basic amenities and no inconveniences is 2500 minimum.
Can we get a video about how she affords $6000/month?
@@amandahaley7156 Omg this! enquiring minds want to know!
@@amandahaley7156 she works as an influencer! I use to follow her on Instagram
Perfect! I would like to see the bathroom and the closet too.
Wait... she's putting that much time, energy, money, and renos in to a RENTAL????
That's a business venture. She's probably making 20k plus
@@beatricerights Exactly!!!! Her rent is likely covered by her renting her Stunningly Beautiful place! Like another commenter said..... She's a Genius!!!!!! 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
Omg I love love the pink decor 😍!!!
The apartments in NYC have that archly appeal, I loved that the most. I wanted to see bathroom so badly.
I love the colors she used to decorate. Beautiful 😍
Eeks
I really like the Sweet Digs series but I would love for them to venture out of NYC more. I know they have a few times, but the NYC apartments are starting to look the same and not as exciting.
That's a pretty neighborhood, great condo's! She did a cool job making it a fun space. My eyes would go crazy but still great job! 😆
It’s a beautiful space and she put so much care into it. I wonder if she will still love it in a few years when the trends change
She can afford to change it. I’m sure of it!
love the space as well, I'm always looking forward to seeing what sweet digs are posting I hope they post next week.
it seems odd to pay so much money decorating a rental..
Indeed!
I don't think she plans to buy a house in NYC so she's creating her ideal home!
It doubles as her production studio; may be considered a business expense too.
@@FleecyKeen I think this is very clever that she rents parts of her living space
this space is exactly my style, I wouldn't change a thing about it!
Gorgeous loft!
I love it. I'm so happy for her.
I love the colors!
Her photography studio is bigger than my apartment 🤣 such a cool space!
I would have a panic attack living there, it’s just so much happening.
I love her outfit. 😍 Especially her top. 🥰 Really nice place too. 👏 ♡ I love it. ❤ That pink curved couch, 😍❤ Everything look's really cool.
Stunning beautiful colourful apartment 💞
Love this!
Wouldn't it be cheaper to get a mortgage for 6k
Your comment doesn't really make sense, but it would be more beneficial to invest in something instead of throwing one's money in the toilet.
This is thee most inspiring space I have seen in a long time...so amazing 😍 what kind of floral is this..it is fantastic?!?
I love, love, love this space! It's stunning. It still blows my mind how in New York, people spend so much money renovating rental space. I know it's what's done but it's mind-boggling! In Texas, we don't do that. If you rent, you are lucky to get a landlord to agree to let you paint even one wall.
Probably because this is expected in a primarily rental market? But not all landlords allow this. At 6k a month rent, she’s a premium tenant. Pretty sure rich people can do whatever they want provided they have landlord’s permission. But I live in a lowly basement apartment here and while I can’t renovate (and wouldn’t want to… it’s a rental after all), after spending 4 years renting a bedroom and sharing a house with 3 roommates… once I finally got this studio apartment, I needed to decorate and make it nicer. Too bad my apartment came partially furnished. I’m stuck using some of the landlord’s furniture. It’s ugly.
@@SL-lz9jr You are right about being premium. She might have had to show renovation plans too. I'm sorry you have to use their furniture! I'd hate that too. The cost of rent/mortgage is so crazy there. I'm in Texas where it's way cheaper because, well we have more space that's not hard to come by. I do love NYC though. It's magical.
Oh so she got money money. All jokes, but this space is breathtaking. Beautifully decorated. So warm and inviting. Any guest of hers is certainly lucky to spend time in that space!! Not a place I would hate to be quarantined in
Love "Sweet Digs" for personal ideas and styles into interior design. But I've been wondering how difficult it can be to acces to a bank credit to buy your own house/appartement in USA? 6K/month in rent is way too much!
It's not about access to credit. Millenials and younger generations don't believe that purchasing a house is a good investment. They think to pay a mortgage is a waste of money because you "get stuck" in a place. I was raised believing the contrary -that to pay a rent is a waste- and in my country to buy a house is still a goal for many people, so it's difficult for me to understand why you would invest so much money in a house that is not yours...
@@sabrinacomotto3565 well said ♥
@@sabrinacomotto3565 I'm not sure where you're based, but I've had a radically different experience as a millennial. My millennial friends and I would LOVE to buy a house and get out of renter purgatory. It's just that due to student loans and wage stagnation, virtually none of us can afford it.
@@silkscreenfantastic I'm based in Argentina. I arrived to this conclusion after some conversations I've had with millenials, articles I've read and lots of youtube channels run by millenials when they talk about how cool is to live as a "forever renter". Perhaps they're just glamourizing their difficulties to buy a house, who knows...
i agree the 6k is wild but she probably gets most of it covered from beinga production studio, one photoshoot video shoot she could charge 6k in a day! now i can only speak from my experience, as someone who has lived in NYC (Lower and upper east side) and now Williamsburg ownership is absolutely something we ALL dream about, but it can be really out of reach specially as a single woman, for example a nice "renovated-ish" small studio in Williamsburg can start at $500k you can find better deals in queens and deeper in brooklyn but lets say Williamsburg is where you want to be that means you are at least making over $185k (that might be low tbh because mortgage, taxes, HOA payments, renovation, just having a life and savings, any debt, etc) and then they ask you to have a 20% down payment... so theres lots of factors to consider, ultimately for now, i would rather pay rent in my nice renovated apartment with a backyard in prime Williamsburg than have to settle for a small most likely walk up studio just to own...
Oh, so this is what it’s like to be rich. Neat.
Love her outfit!!!!
Her shirt is adorable
Today on another episode of things I will never be able to afford...lol. it is really cute though! I can only afford 400 square feet studio but I still love it. :)
The sectional is amazing!
Breathing space. I couldn’t love it more.
I mean it's super nice don't get me wrong! But could we have more normal homes please? I mean it is completely out of reach for me to pay 6k for rent. I'd love to see more relatable homes!
I don’t think this series is meant to be attainable or like you can up and rent the apartment featured lol. Just a fun series to showcase different peoples living spaces
Let these videos inspire you to want more in your life ☺️
Sucks how gentrified BK is …. Know so many people who left NYC cause of this reason
Here living room looks like Elle Woods designed it and I love it.
This is a vibe
How you managed to do the pink and make it look glam instead of pepto!!!!!!! Love the pink couch and the dining chairs!
Absolutely beautiful apartment! ❤️
But don’t quite understand putting in all the blood, sweat and tears into something I don’t own unless I had a rent to own option.
Her home is a business and probably makes a decent profit renting it out.
NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO OWN A DAMN HOUSE. Gees!
gorgeous spot
I love this and her mind ❤
So chic & cute!! Taking notes 📝
I love it 🤩🤘🏻❤
MY DREAM apartment! so great
Dream loft!!
Love this place but EXCUSE ME $6,000 a MONTH omfg I thought my rent was expensive
inspirational
Hmmmm...what is your favorite color?
I'm guessing 'pink'
Obsessed! So we’ll curated
Very cute and pretty place, it goes really well with her personality.
She is like a living Pinterest board. I want to like it but it’s just so generic somehow
It's a very beautiful love but I think I'd like that money spent if it was me after a certain period of time for actual home that you own I can't see giving somebody $70,000 a year and I don't own it then if the people want they can always ask you to go and you without your money. But very beautiful display very gorgeous scenery 💯‼️😇😎🧑🏼🎄❄️🎅🏼⛄
Love it. Totally cute. Big 👍 from me. ✅💕
Her place is so pretty
Wow 😍
Goals!!!
How are ppl so creative and stylish like this. I am so simple but I wish I had a sense of style
6,000 to rent is ridiculous for anyplace 😂
could just finance your own home, for that price
Absolutely gorgeous
You have a pretty home.
Beautiful 😍
It’s giving young Carrie Bradshaw. I love it! 🥰
Would have loved a look at the office, bathroom and closet to complete the tour.
Lovely space, engoy
Would have loved to see the bathroom!
Sooooo dope
I follow her on Instagram, apart from the stunning loft, i love her fashion sense
I’m going to have an extra bedroom soon and I think I’ll have a feminine me space like this
Refinery- I love this video but oh my gosh the background music made it almost unwatchable!
I like the shape of her furniture (sectional, chairs), but I would choose more muted colors.
💙💜❤💛🧡💝💙 BEAUTIFUL!!! AWESOME!!!🧡💛❤💜💙💝💙
It's a live-work space so I guess she can recoup some of the rent in taxes??
Wow!! Perfect single gal style. Absolutely perfect 👍
I need to know where she got her top from! 🔥
