Really liked this one by the way.
OY3AH!
Love sweet digs
You gave little overview of the rooms before you started zooming in on select pieces so I felt confused watching.
A native Brooklynite living in Brooklyn being highlighted on Refinery 29? And she's Black? Well, knock me over with a feather.
LOL :)
🤣🤣🤣
RIGHT!
+enriquemas Have you explored Unbothered? It is our channel for and by Black women. instagram.com/r29unbothered/
@@refinery29 So awesome. This is why I read comments!
It's so refreshing to see a beautiful, young black women living independently in NYC. I enjoy seeing things like this!!
+cinnamonthomas YES!
I love it. Love that there's a native New Yorker--a black woman with a self-assured aesthetic that isn't cookie-cutter. She did so much to the space. Kept it clean and functional but warm.
I LOVE her cornrows because they are just so basic and not trendy. It’s classic af and I love it! I love when refinery shows black women. And her space is dope. I’ve actually been eyeing that couch.
The black sweet digs are always a treat. The black sweet digs always have a bit more charm about them.
Have you seen the couch on wayfarer? could you share the link?
@@HonieeLove4You I love that you spoke on the couch. I took a loss on my living rm futon (its the least comfortable seating imaginable), and am in the market for a COMFORTABLE couch that is sizable to both lounge and nap on, along with being on budget - thanks for pointing me in the right direction! Sharing is caring...
I love her cornrows and her skin is to die for😍❤
I clicked so fast😂. I love how calm and collected she is!
+melindahmkhwanazi Us too!
You have no idea how much her wearing her hair like that, on this platform, means to me! I will be subbing to her blog.
Amen! Need more naturals showcasing themselves. Black hair is beautiful!
Yea! I commented how much I love her cornrows because they are just basic, not new and trendy braids, and it’s soooo classic. I love it.
Yessssss
Where did you find her blog?
her face is flawless
The economy lesson with the handbags, yaaaasss girl!! Smart.
+selinab.robinson YAS!
thank God she is a Bk native and NOT a gentrifier. that’s a great steal for the apt and i’m glad a native got it! gentrification has made it so native NY’ers can’t even grow up and live in their hometown! it’s sickening!
Yup. I'm a native it's a pain.
Did y’all see that poster going around advertising Harlem with two white men in business suits sitting on a stoop... WHAT HARLEM IS THAT?! Now I wanna see us on a realty advertisement for Cape Cod or Calabasas 😩😂
Harmony Rocourt never that deep
Mikalah Hodge it is when people are being kicked out of their neighborhood with rich white folk
Tori Uptown Same with Toronto!
She’s so calm i feel like her words sounds like a lullaby omg
+xandrealancaster #asmr
I had to watch it twice because I was more interested in her, she seems really nice and together. Her place is nice and I love her sentiment over her mothers gift and the use of art in the apartment.
I miss home (NYC) so much..I love this series...And her skin is flawless!
yes omg can she drop her skincare routine lmao
+badredpoeticsoul Thanks for checking out the video!
She intimidates me, like the cool girl in the office who looks flawless everyday on the same salary as me and is also nice and chill.
sarah michelle 😂😂
+sarahmichelle LOL! That's so cute!
intimidatingly cool for sure
Oh wow! Thought it was just me 😱. It’s her confidence for sure and her outfit is really sophisticated! Love her and her flat 🦄
She has an awesome style but, she's far too monotone for me she looks bored while talking. But, her apartment is cool.
This is so refreshing so see a young black woman MAKING IT in the city
Beautiful woman. If I stepped into her home, I would immediately be able to feel the kind of person she is. So mysterious and artsy. Ugh she’s dreamy.
A gorgeous black woman who is into art?! HERE FOR IT!
YES 🙌🏾
I love everything about her! Especially her hair. Ever since she mentioned that her mom said the chair looks like an electric chair, I now can't get that image out of my head. 😂
Are my eyes deceiving or is that actually 400 square feet?? It looks much bigger.
addbackwards I thought so too . I think it’s the minimalist decor , makes the space looks bigger
@@sandypersaud95 that's such a good point!! I am so glad that I wasn't the only person lol.
Sandy P it May be 400 sq feet , but it’s her first place and level of independence, without relying on a roommate! It’s the best feeling to live on your own when you are young, it probably feels like 800 sq feet to her, because it’s her private “palace “! Proud of her, it’s tough for young people to find affordable, live able space in the city.
@@christian_person5058 Hi Christian :)! We weren't talking badly about her place. Sandy was just saying that the style that she decorated it in makes it look bigger. I didn't want you to think that we were talking badly about her home
btw, Rayne is GORGEOUS, just like whoever is reading this comment :)

Thank you
Thank you
Thank you my Nigerian Prince 😘
I love her serene apartment. She has fabulous skin; maybe do a follow up vid on her skin care routine...
+carableu LOL, right?!
As a girl born and raised in Brooklyn this rent is super cheap for the space! What a steal! I was looking for 1 bedrooms for that price you just can’t find them that often and usually aren’t updated.
I was thinking the same thing l
So stylish and calm, her place is well put together. I’m definitely lurking threw her blog later on
Finally someone I can actually relate to
Simple n cozy.. Beautiful apartment.
And surely love this series. 💖
She is such a chill person and I love her apartment!
she’s so humble and well spoken, also incredibly gorgeous.
rohini devi I like her place. But humble? Not sure about that.
Yes she a beautiful lady!
@@SHAWNA499 ???????????
lol @ well spoken.. I have yet to see any comments calling whites in various videos --well spoken.. somehow this only happens when black people are featured.
@@linaandrews5228 you said it before i did lol its ridic
I was distracted by her glowing perfect skin.
Nice and functional place. Also, your cornrows are beautiful.
Love her calm and professional personality (nice change over the "quirky" types that this series tends to show).
And I don't usually like cornrows but her's are flawless!
I love how you call your home the "home gallery". I think the higher rent is so worth it to live alone and also be able to have a proper bedroom. Wayfair is such a great site to buy furniture. I've bought a few pieces that way myself. Totally worth losing floor space in your bedroom to have a queen bed. Great choice. Your home is so calm and lovely. Thank you for sharing it with us. ps I love how you did your eyeliner. :)
This has to be my favorite Sweet Digs episode. Not only is her space captivating, but she’s great to listen to!!! Also her skin is amazing, please follow up on her 😂
LOVED this one. The way she furnished the apartment made it appear much bigger than 400sq feet. Plus sis is glowinggg ✨
If you’re reading this, you’ll have a long and fruitful life :) Be well and stay in touch ❤️
-Josh Otusanya
Amen and same to you 😊🙏
Her dining room is so beautiful!
That’s my aunt💙💙
Yaaaasss young queen! Her style & calm energy is dope! Seeing her on this platform rocking straight back cornrows gave me all the feels! #blackgirlmagic ❤️💁🏾♀️
So happy to see her on this platform. Love her blog and style. 🖤
One of my favorite Sweet Digs vids. Rayne seems sweet and genuine, and I love what she did with her place. It's just lovely to see a beautiful, genteel independent woman living it up in BK. REPRESENT!!
The way she furnished her apt made it feel bigger. I love all her artwork 💕💕
The best part about this episode is that she is so simple and that place is a definitely a steal for that price point in Brooklyn, Newyork
Wow that Murakami piece on her bedroom walls brings back memories. It's been a long time since I heard anything about it, but I still remember how blown away I was by his amazing (and expensive) his designs are. That shows how well together her life is that she can afford that kind of piece on such little money. Those are the values of minimalism as well, only keeping the highest quality of things around you leaving being whatever just accumulates as clutter.
Score for $1570.
Loved her aesthetic ❤️ she has a very accurate sense of art!
What a great deal on the couch!!Love her calm and serene vibe!!🏘️
+lauraroberts Same!
Such a beautiful young woman, so well spoken and smart. Dropping the question inflection at the end of every sentence will make you sound like the woman you really are. I know that's a generational thing but it just makes people sound stupid.
That and saying “like” every second lol
This is one of my favorite episodes!!! Love her style!
Love her vibe! She's so relatable. I would love to see more content with her.
You can just tell this girl is such a boss- also as someone from Brooklyn it’s so cool to see someone living here who actually grew up here. So awesome
This was by far my favorite of this series
Omg yes the Will and Grace plates! I love her space and she seems like such a cool person!
First episode I watch in its entirety ...I loved her
Hands down my favorite refinery29 video to date! Clean minimalistic Style comfortable living space. Go Brooklyn!
Literally my favorite place. She’s also super cool
She has such a nice place! I really liked her vibe and art pieces.
So stylish and inspiring!
Love that Marvin Gaye skateboard😍
Cute place and she's adorable!
I scrolled past this video and had to scroll back up... Something about her look compelled me 😩 beautiful woman and beautiful home. Love that she is from there too. She seems so true to herself
I LOVE her space!! Absolutely gorgeous and she is stunning too❤
I have the same desk/chair combo! Needed it for a small space as well. Love this video 😍
Black 👏 Girl 👏 Magic 🌟
Great video! Glad to see a native of Brooklyn. Rayne you've done a wonderful job with the space.
Her taste is so amazing ranging to her artists, fashion, furniture is just *chef’s kiss* perfect
She's sooo quintessential unquestionably New York. Have been binging the Sweet Digs series all week and this is the first actual New Yorker from the NYC series. More of these, you guys got it right!
This apartment is one of my favs from this series!
Her skin is amazing....I grew up in Brooklyn but living in Texas now, I can NEVER go back to such a small footprint for such a high fee...Loved her aura though
Where in Texas? I'm gonna guess Austin, lol just for fun.
I'm hella impressed for NYC!
One of the best and informative Ive seen in a while. Love it! Love her!
I didn’t mind another New York home I loved this episode 🤗 go head sis!!
Yaaaaas to this content ... great to see a native New Yorker with a great space !!!

One of the best styled apartments on sweet digs
Her place is beautiful and so inexpensive for NYC!!!
One of my favourites!! What a beautiful decorated space
Yasss to everything about this episode!!
Very cute place for the space. No clutter at all. And a REAL New Yorker! Yaaas!!
What a coincidence - I was just watching Justine Leconte's video on bags as investment pieces and Rayne here talks about it too! A very well-thought out space, too. Those plates are lovely.
I love her apartment so much😍😍😍
Your very Chilled!(Humble)...Love your living area THE Electric chair looks Great😂😂Love your Style!!
Ahhh! I love the art pieces
This was my favorite episode yet
Love this series!
So pretty
The realest and most relatable sweet digs episode!!
+olaronke Wow, wow!
I love her space 😍
A vibe! Dope AF 💜
Love this and love her ❤️
i love her style, and her story!
You are one of only three people I've ever seen with the name Rayne spelled that way. My daughter being one. Absolutely love it. She was born on a rainy day and it was an emergency c section I was so scared but I love the rain.
LOVED this vid
This is a great deal in NYC! Specially if Crown Heights! Nice job 👌🏾
She's such a good decorator!!
love how her apartments looks!
Loved this. She kept it short, sweet, and to the point. Love seeing black women on this channel, would love to see MORE👀
Her outfit is so awesome
Her voice is AMAZING. She could do one hell of an ASMR video.
