Crown heights rent was $800 for a 3 bedroom in 2000, 20 years later the same apartment rents for $3500. These landlords are out of their mind. If people would just stop moving there and paying these ridiculous prices they might actually drop to a more respectable level.
@Man Hood, yet people pay the prices! A studio at PLG 123 Linden Blvd is going for $2500 - $2800. One bedrooms are from $2700 -$3000. This new building is quickly filling up even with those prices. The landlords are able to ask those prices because MANY people are ready, willing and able to pay them. Trust and believe, that building has 467 apartments and they will soon be filled.
Having a gigantic living/dining room and a small bathroom and bedroom for me is not a good deal. I would rather be comfortable in my bathroom and in my bed then in any other place of the house.
When you live with roommates, having large common areas is more ideal than having a giant room. You also spend less time in the bathroom since you have to be considerate of other people's needs.

That's all you get for that price tag!? First of all $900 Should be the cost of a large studio to a 1 bedroom apartment. NYC is one big crime syndicate. My dad's mortgage in Connecticut is $2000 a month and it's a 4 bedroom house with 2 bathrooms. This is insane.
There’s a lot more that goes into rent than just the size of the bathroom or bedroom. Roll Call
Nordic functionalism is not a style of interior design / decoration, it's a 1930's architectural movement. Her room is not that.
LOVE LOVE LOVE ❤ your style. Real young women liveing real young lives. Super cosy and homey. Thanks for shareing og for the inspiration. Greatings from Denmark ❤
Honestly I feel like that price for NYC is a steal. When I was in college I was paying 600 to share a bedroom in a apartment in my college town. I paid for my own college and was working part time verses them having full time job with a wage kinda adjusted for NYC cost of living.
+cluelessaddict We think it is, too!
Going to guess you’re not from New York. I live in their neighborhood. It’s a dangerous neighborhood. NYPD has to keep vans on every other corner to try and control the crime. This neighborhood used to be $800 for three bedroom. Landlords see these out of town people and hike up the price. And don’t come saying “how do you know they’re out of town people?”. Weir New Yorkers. We can spot you guys from a mile away.
This is not a steal for NYC. Not at all.
@@carnival30 thank you I thought I was crazy...this is not NYC aka Manhattan this is Brooklyn they are talking about
@@Bestmepossible Exactly!
I'm not into renting, prefer to buy & live where that's possible. But, at least, there's three sharing the rent & hopefully, saving money. After all, people age & rents increase.
Y’all are getting jerked with that place
Being realistic about prices.
I really do not enjoy the vibe of this one at all.
A bedroom without windows? That's illegal where I'm from
They're paying a house mortgage....Nah, I'll pass. That's not smart or fair. Just get a house.
celest simmons right! Thats what I always think!
Our folks get it, them other folks think its edgy to live in these places as roommates and pay crazy rents and mess it up for the rest of us
@@mh7067 its ridiculous.. really.. all these people are now headed towards my neighborhood and the rent is hiking and small businesses are closing down for whole foods and starbucks to come in!
Show me Phoenix! Atlanta! Santa Fe! We’ve seen so much NYC!
The girl with the green pants has great taste in shoes
+issarae'sbodydouble Right?! :)
Move To NJ Next To NJ Transit Station Or Path There Are Multiple Towns and Safer
This city is so overrated

My favorite type of episodes
Oo so earlyy!
Was waiting for it eagerly💕
I cannot stand bedrooms without a window. I would only pay $600.
Its illegal smh
I love Brooklyn but I also hate living here!! It’s too expensive ... Brooklyn is getting more expensive !
How is everyone getting a “good deal” in NYC?? 😂
