I like her bedroom because the focus of the room is to sleep. So the plants around the room is uniquely beautiful. I’m learning to let go items in my bedroom and her room inspired me to continued to be less hoarder in my bedroom because it’s less noisy when there is less items.
All these houses I see lately look the same to me. Instagramish basic I would call it. No true identity. Anyone could be living in there. I don't see personal taste and difference. Plus..they are not "homie".
We used to make shelves, bookcases and places for our stereos back in the 60's with planks and cinder blocks. When I saw hers, I had to laugh because when we were in our late teens and early 20's, this is all we could afford. So now, it's a stylish "thing." 😆
These basic and mediocre furnishings and decor that are presented (owned) by a cool and fashionable woman get so much love because of the owner herself. If they were owned by a woman or man that didn’t seem cool then they would be largely ignored if not criticized for their decor style..
Maybe it is how she presented it? Art is about know the meaning what you want to convey, and that is also the same with decor I guess. well maybe it's all she can afford, I mean you have to kind of assume that most people from NY aren't following the 30% of your gross income rule with rent.
my parents made their whole record shelf out of planks and bricks when they moved in 40 years ago, and although they definitely upgraded the rest of their furniture, they still have that exact same DIY shelf in their living room today, hasn't moved an inch, it's just a classic ;)
Having recently seen a lot of Caleb’s videos asking people in New York how much rent they pay and then touring their tiny apartments that mostly cost a fortune in rent I can only imagine how expensive this place must be to rent.
@@marianne4902 you would imagine wrong, unfortunately. Nice industrial apartment, however IMO kitchens should not be situated near the front entrance, especially where cooking and food are and there are no windows for ventilation; the livingroom space should be near the front entrance instead.
