I've only visited NYC twice and I noticed people tend to look and act very closed off. No random conversations or eye contact/smiles. When I was out, I tried to strike up conversations with strangers about life in the city. The few I talked to shared that the way in which I approach people is just not typical New York style and might even make them suspicious of my intentions. I think I would be very lonely if I lived there, so I'll just stay put in Texas and appreciate my southern hospitality!
Probably one of the coolest apartments I've seen, not my style but it's so pretty and all the plants and the vibes, it's amazing. She's also so cute and made me feel calm. Nice video guys!
The BEST thing about this place are the plants. They make this place absolutely GORGEOUS. It's cut living but it feels like you're still a part of nature.❤️🌿
Rose, our channel embraces the culture of being plant parents. We're so excited for you to see more beautiful plants in upcoming Creative Spaces episodes.
@@aoh4905 the definition of an "antique" piece (in French at least) is something that is minimum 100 years of age. Less than that, you can call it vintage I guess, but not "antique". 🤷🏻♀️
All the interior design magazines can go home now; perfection has been achieved. This apartment is just the ultimate, to me. It's so beautiful. So much unique stuff to look at, and it's roomy *and* cozy. And the dog! I'm in love with the whole thing.
I like how she likes to thrift shop almost everything repurpose discarded things, she’s comfortable with the environment and living her life. I’m a clutter person too, but my room is too small for that. Loving the automated disco ball doe, who wouldn’t want to dance in your own party.
I love this idea of an apartment, lofts open space, natural light and you can make it any way you want. So cool! My question would be the energy bill to keep it cool or warm in various months as the ceilings are so high and loft building are usually not well insulated. She was a delightful tour guide!
Lol I thought she said “Hey Google, let’s potty”. What a beautiful apartment. She and her boyfriend have made a lovely and functional home despite a really weird layout.
I really like this apartment, although I'm not sure why; I suspect the fact that it's such an interesting layout is part of it. The only thing that would worry me is the lack of barriers on the edge of the mezzanine level. I'd probably put waist-high transparent acrylic walls across if I owned the place, even if that did stop you from being able to sit on the edge.
agree with a clear rail on the upper loft(s).....that is extremely dangerous open like that...even for the dog!!!~ a hand rail is even needed for the stair(s).
I am soo happy you watch this too. I like your videos because you are a really good storyteller and you don't miss any important details. All the best!
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! But, when SHE said, "Hey Google, let's get This Party Started!" My doggone Google came on and started playing some disco music!!! 🤣😂 Scared the CRAP out of me!!!!!
I absolutely loved this place! It has that bohemian, non-cluttered, chaos that accentuates the beautiful. I could see this place as being my forever happy place. I love the "door" separations that give it a little bit of a tropical feel and all the nooks and crannies and all the plants and vintage bits all around. Jess and her boyfriend really show how much love they have for their space together. I usually wouldn't like that kitchen at all, being so open, like that, but the way it's put together, I don't mind at all. I also love that the ways up to the two lofts are actually comfortable looking stairs and not ladders. There are so many different spaces in such a large space and each one has such a comfortable and cozy vibe with all the plants around. The art she's chosen for the walls all blend with the place so completely. Picking a favorite area would be very hard for me. I really loved the bedroom and that small area in the 2nd loft that she was able to close off for tele-therapy. Honestly, there's not a single thing I could point out that I didn't like. ❣
I absolutely adore this apartment … it’s so warm and welcoming, despite the fact that it’s industrial and very original. she has amazing taste, everything is so thought out. perfection.
What she says about taking care of plants first thing in a.m. is so True. Earthens and roots us I guess. Love the dog and "community welll thought true" vibe this home vibrates.
Lovely home. I love the very cozy conversation room and the gold framed mirror. Nice to hear Jess talk about how she acquired her stuff and plants. Nice that she rescues abandoned plants off the streets. I want a dog just like her sweet doggie.
Lovely tour Jess & Team! So many beautiful moments in your wonderful characterful lush apartment! Love the diva disco ball, bright natural light, plants, split level lounges, clever sliding & folding wood doors, arty nick nacks, and your beautiful Ghost doggie. Wish you many happy adventures! 🥰❤🧡💛💚💙💖
Love this loft. I have a small bohemian style loft, lots of hanging plants, vintage furniture, linen and hemp, copper pots. This loft is my dream loft for sure.
I'm a fan of organized chaos too. I have spots that are somewhat minimal but certain spaces are covered in my favorite things. Very random things. Beautiful space! I love lofts. 😊
Beautiful space reflective of her spirit. I found the owners persona and voice really calming, and I can see that reflected by the space itself. Loved this. 😀
What an interesting person. The apartment is obviously totally furnished with finds and reclamation. But, the use of this as a medium, from an interior design perspective, is a big success. .... Kind of, 'post apocalyptic chic'!
Loved the tour of this loft apartment! Favorites were the plants (because I, too, was a plant killer who is now a plant mom - YAY!), the second hand items, and how every time she said, "Hey Google, let's party" my Google "gets the party started!"
I love this one, and this lass she's a hoot! Plus the mirror thing had me reacting how she probably did as well as laughing with her :p not like it matters but I thought I'd share about the pink leaf plant: my Christmas cactus' are the same and apparently aren't meant to be so. They seem fine, but it's good to know we shouldn't expect them to be pink :p it's a lovely shade and character though I completely agree :) x
Hi there! I've watched this video so many times, and still love it so much! It's so inspiring and one day I hope to include similar elements to my home.
Literally one of the coolest place of a „normal“ person or any person really ever shown on RUclips!! Elena‘s portrayal was actually better though, more detail!
if she told you how much rent she pays you guys would all start laughing. for a new yorker the first sentence greenpoint loft is loaded with such sublime dichotomy. fascinating😉
Your plant collection is insane! I have about a dozen plants, but if my apartment were larger and had more than 2 windows, it would lik like a jungle. Plants give me life! I don't want to guess how many thousands per month you pay to live there. It's as spacious as a little palace, and the quirks are its perks. The whole place is a conversation piece.
love that she mentions how hard it is to meet people in the city, so true and something nobody ever seems to mention!
People are too proud to admit that they live a lonely life in the "great" New York
@@14ariel77 why is it crap?
I’ve found the same problem living in a Dallas Suburb, people pull into their garage, the door goes down and that’s that.
Maybe it’s the circles I run in but I hear it a lot.

Maybe it is antique but hand painted very recently
When I think of NYC style, her loft is what I envision. So much character and personality.

This place is just so cozy feeling. I could just imagine myself up in the loft with a book and a cup of tea. Absolutely wonderful!
I think this is literally the best NYC apartment tour I have ever seen. Like that living room with all the plants I would die....
