I absolutely loved this lady"s energy and the delicious living space she has created for herself. I too live in a studio and for along time I longed for a larger space. But over time I realised that more space does not automatically mean more life. Now, I feel my footprint on this precious world is minimal, but my space is still filled with the things of beauty that enable me continue to enjoy life and all it has to offer. The biggest lesson? Being inventive about space and hidden storage.
You are spot on-- more space does not equate to more life. Moving to New York I sacrificed so much space. In the trade off I gained the ability to pay closer attention to the small things and moments that bring joy. 😊😉🤗

Wow! I live in Canada and the first time I heard about Bed Stuy was when I read a Book called The Two Worlds Of Jill, then of course in Do The Right Thing. so many folks who are artistic always live in Loft Style Homes, or in varius parts of New York. Yes, you are so right. I loved it too. Her eyes and heart lit up when she spoke of her. I know she can hear Gma voice and feel her warm, loving, kind spirit there.❤
I refuse to live in regrets. However, there are two things that at 61 yrs I wish I HAD done; one, continue my military career and two do the things that I know I was born to do instead of what was expected of me. The things that you don’t have to ‘try to do’ because they come naturally. The things you would do even if they didn’t make you rich. The things that make you bounce out of bed every day. I love this young woman from the studio to now because she’s doing what she was obviously born to do and enjoying it with so much fervor. I did some ‘things’ in my time, and I still have time to do some ‘things’ but I don’t mind living a wee bit vicariously through her story. I’m proud of you, lovely lady
I felt every bit of what you said! The difference for me is that I wish that I’d seized the opportunity to actually go into the military. It would’ve changed the trajectory of things. I’m 57 and love the thought of hopping out of the bed to do something you love! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!!😊
I'm with you on this. I wish I HAD purchased an older house NOT in an HOA, but with more land. However, I was 1st time homebuyer at the age of 54, I had no insight/experience with home buying. My only other real-estate purchase was a co-op in NY that my Mom already lived in, so we knew what to expect. I also wish I had been intentional with considering my personal style instead of what "needed" to be in my home to accommodate others. I'm now moving towards a "me entirely" space, and while it's satisfying seeing my vision come together, it is expensive (windows into sliding doors, new flooring, and extending the patio), due to the hike in material costs.
@ I like your story. If God gives me life, I plan to buy my second house when I turn 65. Already my daughter-in-law is having a fit because she thinks I’m going to fail and she and my son are going to be responsible. What my poor daughter-in-law does not realize is at almost 62, I don’t believe in bucket lists, I believe in TODAY only, and I have finally figured out that I don’t get to come back in another life and get it right. I wish you all the best in every endeavor: even the ones that are nail-biters. Take your time and enjoy the seconds even if it’s expensive, that’s what the money is for anyway.
Omgggg! I have never been so impressed. The kitchen! All the rooms! All her hacks!! Someone better give her a tv show and a book deal. For real! Gonna go follow her. 😍😍
For the Fungus Gnats - water the plant from the bottom by placing it in a saucer. Don't water from the top. Stick matchsticks, tip down, into the top of the soil. It will look strange but will kill the eggs laid by the gnats, so keep doing it until you've been clear of them for at least a week.
Those are great tips and are organic so def try those first. If all else fails, there is also product called Mosquito Bits that works well. I would not use them on edible plants, but they’re fine for regular houseplants.
She is so clever in how she decorates. Its as aesthetically as pleasing as it is useful. I especially love her personality and I don't think she knows how beautiful she is.
I have a JumpSport that is in my workout/meditation room, I need to do something like this too. I didn’t know want to add a chair in the room because of space so this is a great idea!
I’m happy that she is featured in Homeworthy❤ Her apartment is gorgeous, she has done a superb job in decorating it. Also, she is so beautiful and talented.
She can be put in any building, anywhere in the world, and she'll make it a home. I love how much soul she has and puts into the things surrounding her. Beautiful inside and out.

Amazing!! The ottoman/trampoline? Genius 🎉 I'm gonna copy it someday soon. If I was a beautiful African American like her I would also paint my walls grey pale medium and dark, it makes the contrast precious, makes the skin glow with a heat, with a warm copperish tone, when filming, taking pictures inside the house. It eliminates contrast/exposition problems. And the room all dark doesn't feel heavy, because painting all the details, woodwork and mouldings, gives consistency, minimalism, and makes it easy on the eyes.
I love the trampoline/ottoman too! In fact, I have that exact same one. I recently bought a house and one of the rooms is going to be a workout room. I'm seeing now that I can make it really classy, so definitely going to draw inspiration from her room. Also, paint your walls the way you'd like to make your skin glow more!!

I remember seeing a video of Kim giving a tour of her old apartment and instantly fell in love with her energy and creativity. I couldn’t click faster when I saw that she had a Homeworthy tour❤
The whole apartment zings with creativity that most would never think of-a black den/office?! However, it is the before photo and after magic of her kitchen that just “knocks it out of the park” for me. Shockingly-fabulous!! Love this Lady!! ♥️🤗
I've been following Homeworthy for almost a year now. This is one of the best ones I've seen so far! Love, love, LOVE her energy, resourcefulness, creativity and style in this quintessential NYC apartment.
Kim's original Apartment Therapy tour (with the gold contact paper) is still one of my faves. This came up in my feed and I cannot wait to watch it in full!
What creativity! She doesn't see boundaries or limits. Everything's up for grabs, and she makes the most out of it! She's experimental and fearless! The apartment and the outdoor space is awesome! Thanks for the tour! 🩷 Note: I'm so happy to see her using her mom's Visions stew pot. I still use Visions. I think I've possibly replaced every piece at least once since they are breakable. Lol

Also, if you cover the exposed soil with sand, they will be gone soon. I've used black sand when it made sense visually for a dark plant.

I remember seeing a video of Kim giving a tour of her old apartment and instantly fell in love with her energy and creativity. I couldn’t click faster when I saw that she had a Homeworthy tour❤
Love your antiqued mirror project! Have never seen anything like it before, I mean the size and how it’s used. Just so glam!
She needs her own show. She's charismatic, beautiful, and knowledgable. I would 1000% watch her on HGTV.
T❤❤❤
I love her apartment, including the outside. She did an amazing job.
❤❤❤
The whole apartment zings with creativity that most would never think of-a black den/office?!
However, it is the before photo and after magic of her kitchen that just “knocks it out of the park” for me. Shockingly-fabulous!!
Love this Lady!! ♥️🤗

What creativity! She doesn't see boundaries or limits. Everything's up for grabs, and she makes the most out of it! She's experimental and fearless! The apartment and the outdoor space is awesome! Thanks for the tour! 🩷
Note: I'm so happy to see her using her mom's Visions stew pot. I still use Visions. I think I've possibly replaced every piece at least once since they are breakable. Lol
I've been fortunate enough to see Kim White's other spaces and they have all been stunning!. This one does not disappoint1 he is truly creative! ❤😍🤩
Such a beautiful woman. Her space is just extension of her own style. Love it.
