This is what old school apartments looked like in NYC before they are gut renovated and chopped up into three apartments.
I've never seen such amazing architectural features in a NYC apartment - the dragons! the library! the built in shutters! All the natural wood! You're so blessed to have scored this unique space and you're living so well in there - high joy vibes

@@aroha4154 Not everyone of them has original features. Many landlords/owners tend to strip them away to make them look 'modern' and/or to carve them up to make more units.

$2300 is an absolute steal for this place. It must be rent stabilized, because this apartment would easily rent for $3200 on the market.

yeah they really do a disservice to the viewers with the pricing. what's the point in showing these beautiful apartments with discount prices if they are extremely rare? Anyone who has apartment hunted in brooklyn/crown heights knows the chances of finding this place for $2300 are next to zero.
She has patiently curated all the pieces over time. Thats what makes her home so special.

What makes this place so special is that the rent is claimed to be about one-third the price it should be. 15’ ceilings; original parquet floors; original, perfectly preserved solid wood mouldings, windows, shutters, fireplace, and massive pocket doors; huge kitchen; TWO bedrooms - the only unfortunate aspect of this apartment is the tiny bathroom, and even that has a beautiful window in it. $2300 should only get a dark, cramped studio. Her stuff needs to be cleared out to make way for someone who has the ability to decorate this exquisite piece of history appropriately. She is obviously getting this gifted to her from family (or a ‘friend’) because it is an extreme mismatch.
@@madeleinerose7090 you don’t know that. Stop making up for scenarios in your head. Just because you are not as successful as her doesn’t mean you need to take it out on her and try and shame her for her accomplishments. Get the mental health that you so desperately need and go be miserable somewhere else.
WOW, WOW, WOW. Everyone watching who knows NYC apartments is watching this tour in awe with a dropped jaw. $2300 IS iNCREDIBLE! I grew up in Crown Heights and this apartment is the only time I've ever considered moving back.
That's such a spacious place for NY and for that price too. I'm used to seeing over priced shoe-box-sized NY apartment tours. Loving he traditional style of her place and absolutely love her vibe! She's so gorgeous 😍
Agreed. I thought this was going to be a tour of one bedroom studio in a cool old Victorian building. But then it was so spacious with those pocket doors and all that architectural detail and those amazing high ceilings. And the original shutters in that beautiful bay window? Damn. I am a peanut butter and jealous sammich! And you're right she's adorable and amazing too. My new favorite tour!

@@adrianprestell I would say you get MORE space for your money in Brooklyn but this looks like an at least 1000 sq ft space and Crown Heights is a cool part of BK. This place would go for 3k or more and that's just for the square footage. Could easily be $4k because of the solid wood detailing and crown modeling. This is a deal of a lifetime of an apartment.

Her place is enormous, ornate, and so well laid out and designed. I've rarely been jealous of someone's NYC apartment but I definitely am of this one.
The apartment was beautiful. I’m so glad some developer didn’t come through and gut everything. And I love how her modern style fits so well with all of the built-ins. Everything about the place was beautiful.
Most beautiful apartment I ever saw. The craftsmanship was remarkable. The window shutters and library are my favorite. The young lady's decorating was so respectful to such a beautiful space.

Wow Naj! This is the neverending space! Your kitchen is bigger than a lot of NYC studio apartments. I love how you married old collectibles with modern, everyday items. What an elegant, yet cozy, home.
The huge cabinet and pocket doors are very beautiful. I love the high ceilings and the real kitchen room. Naj decorates in a very personal and beautiful way.

I love this apartment! It reminds of the apartment I grew up in, Bushwick Brooklyn. A life time ago. The apartment was huge with high ceilings like this and beautiful shutters on the windows. This brings back so many great childhood memories. Thanks for sharing.

I used to live in Bedstuy ( Brooklyn ) and the Brownstones are gorgeous and historical, and only 6 years ago I paid 1350 for the exact apartment. Your home is is beautiful.

I absolutely loved her apartment tour, this apartment layout, size, wood trim and doors reminds me of the Brooklyn Brownstone apartments I remember as a child.....Definitely alot of older homeowners still have their brownstone kept this way.....her artistic and decor style meshes well with the space....

I live in New York, It’s extremely hard to believe this apartment is $2300 per month in Brooklyn. NO WAY!!! There has to be a catch. For $2300 in NY you’re lucky if you can get a tiny 1 bedroom in a bad neighborhood. Beautiful place!!
