Her sense of style isn't my sense of style, but I can really appreciated it. She has some fun, unique pieces that seem very true to her. It's a great space.
WOW. This is the kind of apartment I would I have dreamed to live in when I was out of high school, including the surf board. I used to love retro knick-knacks and the 80's kitsch aesthetic. Now I'm all about minimalism and my apartment is all white and beige. Boring. This is making me nostalgic. 🤍 In French, we have an expression when someone has kept the "heart" they had as as kid ("garder son coeur d'enfant"). This girl has as the spirit of a child and I love it. And she seems to have a very cool family ! Really enjoyed that dig ! 😉🐚
2:11 That’s not safe at all, the flower pot on the aircon. Too many fires have started from decorating like this. Please stay safe, people!💕 Edit: spelling😌
Yep she must have had it for a while or maybe snatched it during early Covid? My rent in Culver City for a one bed I signed this year(2022) is about the same and without in unit laundry.
depends how close to the beach and what year the building is, I moved to a dog-friendly one bedroom for $1,900 with a pool and off street parking in late 2020, but I was like three miles from the beach and the building was from the 40s (no sweet metro sounds either). But yeah, if she is less than a mile from the beach with parking and in-unit laundry, that is a solid price.
Whoa Santa Monica is expensive as heck. That place is small as heck and cost to much I remember when you could barely get anyone to move to that area. But she has made it hers and it looks very comfortable.
My mortgage for a brand new 3000 sqft 4bd and 3.5bths home in Orlando, FL was about this much a month. I can't imagine spending this kind of money for a 1bd apartment. But that's California.
Location, interest rates, home size, land size, all things being equal, there are parts of the country that are even cheaper than what you’re paying in Orlando. Then there is the fact that as much as some people hate California, some of us hate other states just as much. I live in Malibu CA and have traveled a lot in the US and internationally. At the end of the day I love CA even though it has many issues. Hollywood/the motion pictures business started in New York in the early 1900s but quickly moved to California because of the great year-round weather.
I had Peter Max jeans and a few other pieces as a teen in the 70’s. None of my friends remember this designer… Camera person could’ve focused in more when you discussed pieces like your bar cart console table & mortar and pestle. never been a fan of the lacquer furniture, but glad to see your bedroom set works for you.
A very beautiful size apartment for $2375 is not bad 🤔😎💯‼️📺👌🏼 I predict in the future the starting rate of most rents is going to be $1,500 to 4,000 range. I love the aviance of it. as long as it's a beautiful neighborhood is very beautiful not a high crime area it's not a lot of people that's destructive with their different type of animals that allow them to tear up and destroy the yards. This will be a wonderful place but I say it's okay to live at this price for about 2 years, on a high end 3 years. but I say ultimately a house is so much better and I hope whatever her career is that it allows her to not only be able to afford her rent‼️ but still have more than enough money. To be able to afford a house that's maybe $500,000 range this is so much worth it. 🥰😘📽️💯‼️📺 🥳🔥🎊🎉🙋🏻♀️
I thought Santa Monica is rent control. Was I wrong? It seems too high for a one bedroom in my opinion, but I am not familiar with the rent price right now in that area. I could be totally wrong. But you made it pretty. Great job.
People will basically ask for whatever price they can get away with, if there are people willing to pay. Personally I would rather commute and save money and buy after some years, than to throw away my money on rent that’s too high and that will trap me in the rent apartments. I worked and had 2-3 roomates for a few years and didn’t travel and invested money and due to living like that for a few years it made it available for me to have the freedom I have now. No one is pushing me around, no home with too high rent. I am my own home owner. It’s like so many people want to move out from their childhood home and straight into high or semi- high standard of living. When you do it the other way around, if you’re not rich don’t live in a expensive/popular area...the place is still there if you wanna be there and until then you can go for. V I S I T S. I used to go to this beach at this really expensive area in my old city, and I would dream of living there or in a similar place and those dreams motivated me to get up in the morning and work hard in school and at my job. Some friends of mine, just like many others who didn’t plan their finances, are literally in debt for paying rent between 1500-2500 in rent. Unless you have an income of at least 150k/yr , you have no business paying that much in rent! Don’t fill someone else’s pockets with your coins, people! Tend to your own pockets💕
@@soilgrasswaterair , so proud of you and your logic. Many years ago, when i got my first "real" job in the field and the place that was my dream, I was talking to my mom the one day about my grandparents lifestyle. My mom comes from a big very family. Six sisters and one brother. My grandfather was not crazy wealthy, but they lived very, very well. My grandfather was the only one in the family that worked and because their home was huge on top of their own kids they had their parents and many other extended family members living in little apartments in their home (i remember the home, old style that the yard was in the middle and all around was living area and the second yard was so huge with 2 swimming pools, one for kids and one for adults, and again little apartments all around the yard.) and all their expenses was paid by my grandfather also. And my mom has so many fun memories because they all lived together and really enjoyed their life. All the kids went to privet schools and then university and few went to other countries for some years to study more. I asked my mom, how was it even possible to live like that with only one person working and everybody else lived off of that one income? Her answer was that "living simple, and no luxury". I mean they had living maid, cook, gardener that they all lived in the same house in their own corner along with their families. But they didn't have to pay for fancy things or brand name stuff or things that didn't matter at end. I so appreciated her answer and have tried to live the same way. Simple, but happy.
rent control in SM only applies to how much they raise the rent after you have already lived there a year (and every consequent year), I don't believe it impacts what the asking price for move-in is

Every corner is 110% her. “It feels really safe in here because it feels like me”. Manifesting this in every way, so inspiring ❤️
Liberals got to have that safe space. Lmao
I used to watch her on youtube years ago, she comes from some well off LA family.
She seems so kind and light hearted. I love the space too, very bright and open 💜
Love her apartment and the pieces from her grandparents are lovely
When I saw her jeans I said she has a light hearted and California vibe. Her apartment is so bright really cute.
