The second money tour video that they did was about a career advisor who lives and works in New York City and makes $43,000 a year. She has $60,000 worth of student loan debt, and she pays only $91.05 per month. Some other commenters speculated that she's on an income driven repayment plan, and it's possible that irregular payments on that amount of debt would be several hundred dollars, and presumably because of her income, she was able to qualify for reduced monthly payments for the time being.

As someone that is very familiar with money, I can tell she is doing a decent job so far. One think she should do is pay off her credit card debt and stop investing in 401k until you do so. And 420 on cars with 40k income is only pulling her down, it’s doable, but for faster financial independence, she should sell the car and buy a cheaper one *not advice just my opinion

I've paid off 12,000 for my masters and 5,000 off credit card debit in the last 3 years. I'm following that Dave Ramasy life. I go out to eat once or twice a month. Always with a promotion deal and/or coupon. I don't go to bars except for a friend's birthday. I have 1500 of credit card debit (moving to a new city is not cheap. I know!) I have it tracked to pay off by June. #debtfreelife

I always cringe when I watch these videos and people spend money on fast food every single day! Omg! Once I go grocery shopping, I cook the food I want for that day and for the week! It keeps me in check and not buying random stuff everyday, which adds up! Also, in my grocery shopping, i buy healthy snacks and fruits to munch on when I get hungry.

Can't tell if you're being sarcastic because I have a similar rent/car payment/income and spend my money very differently. $100 a week goes into savings and I have no credit card debt. Some money goes into my 401 and HSA every week, too. She eats out and drinks way more than anyone needs to. If I had $300 in my savings I would crap my pants with worry.
