  • Wednesday 12th April 2017 and in driving rain we ascend Great Gable from Burnthwaite. We set off thinking we would not get a view and just get ourselves soaked through. We were right but only on one count.
Music is by OfVerona and 'Raining' followed by Australis and 'Essentia'.

Although a shame about the soaking at the start, well rewarded later in the day with great weather and some spectacular scenery. Great watch! Cheers Alan

Suzanne Jackson Thanks. Dave is fighting fit. One more video with him an absentee then you will have to put up with his ugly mug and antics over about the next 10 videos. I just need to stop visiting the Lakes and get them produced lol. Thanks for watching our efforts and your kind comment.

That was knockout. ! thanks Graham. Didnt know you were from Southend-On-Sea. I'm in Bognor Regis. . I did these hills in your video a couple of years ago. So it brought back some memories. oh, just one point. How do you get your screen recording to zigzag across the map at the start with your route on? Best Wishes, David

David I use Adobe premiere for my videos and I only use some of the features because 1. The subject matter does not need 'jazzy effects in my opinion and 2. It takes me long enough to do a video as it is lol. The effect you refer too is in the 'Tool's section under video and it's Pan and zoom. In that you are able to start from point 1 then create another smaller section within the picture and it will 'zoom' down to that. Then create another same size section to the next point you wish to feature in the picture and it will 'Pan' along to that and so on until you wish to return to the full size picture for example and create another large section of the whole picture and it will zoom out to that and bobs you second cousin removed. You are able to add timings within each section to hold or speed up. Hope this helps. Cheers

Hi Graham, thank you. Ive actually got Adobe Premier Elements but I'm still lodged in Windows Movie maker for my videos. I need to learn how to do this effect... Showing a map the way you do defintely gives us viewers a better angle and Introduction to your videos content. THank you for the explanation. Most people wouldn't have explained it so well. David.
