Tony and John work on trimming the rear wheel well and fitting the trunk. They also discuss some tips on fitting the Aston LeMans gas cap and tail lights.
All of this looks very straight forward and doable but nerve racking at the same time. I think the sanding less so than the actual cutting. You are one sneeze or muscle spasm from having an extra wide gap that you would have tell your friends is for less wind resistance.
Sanding fiberglass gets my skin very itchy and I douse my self in talcum powder to relieve the itch. How do you do it or you are so used to it that it doesn't bother you any more?
Yes, that's how some customers do it just because of the time frame of the painter. So while the body is being painted, you can work on your chassis, and that can help speed up the time frame.
I’d like to see factory five racing do a video series on the Daytona coupe!!
Thanks for creating these videos. They help a lot
Love the videos keep them coming please.
Good stuff!
Great Videos! When do you think you'll have the rest of the body work vids done?

Do you have to cut the front and back wheel wells?
Curious about cutting and grinding that stuff without breathing masks....
For clarification, did you say earlier that this fitment can be done before the build? Before the body is removed for the first time?

Factory Five Racing Thanks. I like that idea. Seems efficient.
Damm ear protection 😏
Y'all could use tile spacers or is that not practical? Never mind, those paint sticks seem to do just fine.
