As an RDC, did you ever know about the “motivational boot camp speaker” I hated that when I went through, there’s always a recruit when the red lights came on and said things like “we have to work together” right when I’m trying to sleep
Happened to us are brother div RPOC. He stopped after a guy walked into the middle and goes where the F is my mattress and then goes into the head and bring it out and yell I FOUND MY MATTRESS
In the old days , we lined up tall to short so short guys were always jostling not to be the two outer guys and then have to be road guards from the back row.
Nah for My Div we did suck at march we took multiple street Hits 🤦🏽♂️ RDC gave up on our Marching but we were good at everything else we even got DC olímpica and we kept Start Flag.
Talking is fine, communication is required for some of your duties. and comradery is encouraged. But over familiarity is frowned upon severely. The difference between hey and (miles morales from spiderman) "hey"
"to everyone, their own" ... Honestly, if you really are an RDC, i think you are spoiling this experience for new sailors. The expectancy, and the whole experience. I was very excited many years ago, when i was on my way to great lakes and it was part of that experience. this videos are just diluting everything. IMO.
Respectfully disagree, i leave in 2 months and this has helped me extensively. Its like watching game film for me, preparing what to do, when to do it, and getting an idea of how but correctly so, to each their own

I used to swap up the height line every once in a while to give the tall guys a chance to be first

I heard CC's and recruiters are almost guarantee to promote to E-7's because its a tough duty assignment.
It definitely looks good and can help. But if you ask some of my shipmates, they would disagree on the "guarentee" part.
