Stop using it in every other rap, to make money, and I can take it more serious. But to be so offended, and butt hurt, is a stretch. No other race profits off of racial slurs. It's offensive period.
You missed the much larger context of the issues surrounding Paula Deen and racism want her biggest problem: • She and her brother where using the n-word in their *business* where a majority of staff where black. Even if you ignore the racism, there are labor laws against *hostile work environments* • Many of the women in Paula's restaurant, Bubba's, complained that Bubba was sexually harassing them and Paula did nothing to stop it. *The business was full of sexual harassment* • Paula didn't just want black waiters, *she wanted the black staff to mimic an actual slave plantation dinner service* • Paula wanted a black female employee to dress as *Aunt Jemima* • Paula *got her recipes from the black people* she hired and she promised them wealth, but *they never received credit or anything, were paid less, and were afraid to complain* because they were told that Paula would blackball in the industry • Paula *openly sympathized with her slave owning ancestors* but never the people who were enslaved • And there's more... Besides Lisa Jackson going public and suing, she was never the target of the behavior that caused Paula's downfall and Jackson's lawsuit meant nothing as to what was actually occurring inside Paula Deen's business. Jackson is white and was not the target of any racism so of course the court would dismiss that claim. Even while all of that was going on, the black employees were still too afraid to speak about Paula, because they needed a pay check. Paula Deen's black employees were essentially sharecroppers and suffered the same consequences.
What the actual fuck. This woman is crazy. I seriously hope she's never allowed to work again and that Bubba guy is locked up, I feel sorry for those who she stole recipes off of 😣. It's utterly vile.

Not true, increased weight especially around the middle is strongly positively correlated with diabetes. Sugar has a role, more evidence has been found recently for that, but there is no denying a high fat diet, especially saturated fat like butter, leads to weight gain which often leads to diabetes. Prediabetic states can often be reversed by losing weight.

Some important facts got left out. There were a lot of people who were angry that Deen was hiding the fact that she had been diagnosed with diabetes but was still pushing butter and sugar recipes on her shows. When it was found out she had diabetes a lot of viewers wanted her shows canceled and the ratings on her shows began to go down. The 'n' word controversy happened shortly after the diabetes controversy and that became too much for her sponsors and the Food Network. It had also been speculated that the Food Network already wanted to cancel her shows because of the lower ratings.

Where Paula Dean screwed up was when she admitted to using that word. It was one person’s word against hers and all she had to have do was denied it. You missed the much larger context of the issues surrounding Paula Deen and racism want her biggest problem:
• She and her brother where using the n-word in their *business* where a majority of staff where black. Even if you ignore the racism, there are labor laws against *hostile work environments*
• Many of the women in Paula's restaurant, Bubba's, complained that Bubba was sexually harassing them and Paula did nothing to stop it. *The business was full of sexual harassment*
• Paula didn't just want black waiters, *she wanted the black staff to mimic an actual slave plantation dinner service*
• Paula wanted a black female employee to dress as *Aunt Jemima*
• Paula *got her recipes from the black people* she hired and she promised them wealth, but *they never received credit or anything, were paid less, and were afraid to complain* because they were told that Paula would blackball in the industry
• Paula *openly sympathized with her slave owning ancestors* but never the people who were enslaved
• And there's more...

She also admitted to taking money to be quiet about her diabetes from insilun suppliers.
@Debra Charles It has to do with both fat and sugar.
she uses over 25 sticks of butter I'm more surprised if she DIDN'T get diabetes
Not true, increased weight especially around the middle is strongly positively correlated with diabetes. Sugar has a role, more evidence has been found recently for that, but there is no denying a high fat diet, especially saturated fat like butter, leads to weight gain which often leads to diabetes.
Prediabetic states can often be reversed by losing weight.
I’m half-asleep reading these comments, so perhaps I’m misunderstanding but why would insulin suppliers bribe her to not talk about having diabetes?
@@Omnihilo because she was very culturally prevalent at the time, and if people knew she had diabetes, people may watch their diet more, and in return, get less diabetes, meaning insulin suppliers dont make as much.

These are the real awful people in this world that knows the weight of it but doesn't care. Luckily my school is predominantly white and they don't have any black friends (obviously) so they can't hurt anyone.
Stashe :l You make the words more appealing in a weird way. It’s like they are kryptonite for you. I don’t take people who use racial slurs seriously, why do you?
@@sheriffrust I do take them seriously in the case that they do actually go out of their way to hurt/insult someone that they dislike. Although it's not likely since they don't have the balls to do it.
I really don't like that she called people slurs but really, who hasn't used a slur once in their life.
The lesson here is never ever under any circumstance try to achieve anything because the moment you do someone will dig up that one thing you did in the past and use it to expose you as the monster you really are.
bro she literally said the nword
This comment deserves more upvotes. Cancel culture needs to die in a fucking fire.
@@warrenkelly9914 a word...
@@pyrodemon131 the n word, there's not many words you're not allowed to say it's really not that hard to not say it
Especially if it was something from 40-50 years earlier when societal norms and sensitivities were radically different. Ruining someone’s life over a word half a century earlier is bitch made 100%
Whole lotta edgy 13 year old internet tuff bois defending being a racist in this comment section. Predictable but still disgusting.
You forgot to mention when that haloween picture of her and (I think) her husband surfaced with him them dressed as Lucy and Rickt Ricardo with her husband (I think) in brown face.
Wow what horrible terrible evil. Unthinkable.
@@ericg1100 Ok Boomer.
Man, I'd wish I was ever as noble and pure of heart as a TABLOID JOURNALIST! Those people never say anything mean, bad. I'm glad those are some of the people responsible for moral policing of others!
7:27 anyone notice how it says Paula Deen FRIED for slurs?
Yes
