Paula shows the county that southern food is loved by everyone. She can say and do anything she wants. We will always love her in the south.
I met her at a private signing and found her to be warm and engaging. It seemed very genuine. Not sure what happened with her slip of the tongue, but I'm glad she's back and wish her well.

If people don’t want to spend their hard-earned money on the products she endorses, that’s their right too. Ultimately, she was an earner for a corporation, and it was based, in part, on her personality. Once the earner cannot earn, the corporation is done with them.

She did quit for a long time, but her sons suggested she go to YT when the pandemic hit and she was restless staying at home...and she has really caught on! I too watch her every day!

Too many people keep forgetting they have their own choice and if they don't like a recipe or dish, then they don't have to use it, but don't prevent the rest of us from making our choice to use them. I was so mad when I realized that this woman who raised two sons on her own, built her own business from scratch, and worked like a dog, could not be forgiven for saying a word that was common in the South where she grew up! No, it is not right, and I being raised in the South would never say it, but she BEGGED for people to forgive her for saying it. Being racist goes both ways! I have heard people called "white trash" "honkies" and various other words for whites that are not charitable. She was honest & got almost crucified for it!!! Who was shocked about the way she ate? Her entire empire was based on her recipes. As to how she spoke and acted,yeah people were shocked,because we expect better from someone that we follow. That goes for any high profile personality.

Paula Deen is such a lovely lady, and I love her food. Whether her recipes are butter heavy or lighter fare, they are fabulous!
I remember as a Canadian having first come across Paula Dean on The Food Network-I was hooked! I loved her sweet, yet very real personality and her cooking...oh my...makes me hungry just thinking about it!
She was judged WAY too harshly!! And was not disappointed in her- but by how much backlash she received. She said a few offensive things yes but you'd think she murdered someone.
Anyway, glad to see she's didn't stay down long! And hope to see more of her!
