    The general public doesn't realize how many restaurant workers have alcohol and substance issues. Thank you for adding that at the end

    • @AKayfabe
      @AKayfabe 4 года назад +29

      I don’t think the general public realizes justbhow many people all in all have alcoholic or drug addicted issues. In the food world and every world. It’s commonplace. Those who don’t abuse illicit substances, drink, or take medication and abuse that. Or end up on anxiety meds like Xanax. This is all over the place. And high functioning people under a lot of stress, often it’s unnoticed because a lot of people think of a drug addict, or alcoholism as only down on their luck, obviously drunk, passing out in the street, type people. But it isn’t the case
      The general public themselves are taking drugs and drinking a lot, too, they just view themselves as sober

      All of these chefs (except Cristie Codd) died from conditions related to eating their own restaurant food. High salt, High Fat, lots of meat. Leads to diabetes, Cardiovascular, Colon problems, etc. Home prepared vegans are living into their 90s whereas American restaurant eaters are dying in their 60s. The chefs die sooner because they eat that crap every day.

    My most sincere condolences to the family. May God bring peace and strength to your hearts during this sad time and find comfort in his promise to bring back to life those you love who have fallen asleep in death.

    I had no idea that Kerry Simon died. So sad. I did enjoy Keith Floyd back in the day. His voice made you hungry.

    FYI, no one ever "used to be an alcoholic". Once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic. An alcoholic is always addicted to alcohol even if they've stopped drinking for good.

    Food Network Stars You Didn't Know Existed.
    I opened the video expecting to see many people I knew since I grew up watching food network. But I did not know a single one of the people who died. Honestly it's surprising to me.

    I'm curious if some of these could be prevented by regular doctors checkups? I wish healthcare was more affordable so we could all keep up with our health more efficiently. I don't think it would prevent all the deaths, but it would really help!

      Isn’t healthcare supposed to be free in the UK?
      Any celebrity chefs on TV likely have great health coverage.
      Maybe regular cardiac checkups could have saved some of these?
