BMW X3 Front Strut Replacement DIY (2003-2010 BMW E83 X3)

►If your BMW X3 has become bouncy and soft over the years, it's likely because you need a strut replacement. Struts control the up-and-down movement, damping the bump and ruts you drive through. As they wear, they lose their ability to control suspension forces, leading to a much more numb steering response.
Replacing your own control arms isn't the most challenging job out there, and it can save you a bit of money. Follow along as Mike Hidalgo, FCP Euro's Professional DIY'er, tackles a front strut replacement on an E83 BMW X3.

According to the instructions that come with these yoke type compressors you have it mounted on the spring backward... Or upside down in this case. Just thought I'd mention that since you described it as being "sketchy" then that detail probably matters.
