    Worked great. Generosity sprayed strut as videoed. Also sprayed control arm bushings AND the sterling knuckle where the steering column shafts meets steering linkage. Vehicle was sitting for.4 years on blocks, moisture dried everything out. Having a second person tuning wheel left and right so you can hear Creeking and groaning from suspension really helps direct areas to spray. Thank you!

    Warning: it's NOT the normal wd40. It's silicone spray that happens to be from the brand wd40...know for it's "normal" wd40 that is more of degreaser, which is the opposite that this video is intended to show.

      @@MrDopeSmokes Will be good for the bearing at the top, but idk if I'd put any on the shiny smooth part of the strut. IDK if anything should really be put on that. I'd guess silicone might not be too bad if it's compatible with the seals inside the strut.. nothing thick though. Most anything you put on that silver bit is just going to collect dust and erode the seals which will wear out the strut more.

    • @hakimola1306
      @hakimola1306 Год назад +1

      @@daw1st Yes you can use both. I found Silicone works better on rubber such as Strut, Bushing Rubber, Car doors hinges, etc so anything has rubber because it makes it cleaner and smoother. The normal WD40 is best to use when you have rusted stuck nut that hard to take it out, so you spray WD40 normal and leave it for few hours then it will loosen up the nut. I tried to use Silicone to remove rusted nut but its not that efficient like the normal one. I hope this helps.

    Yes, I had a squeaky gas shock absorber. Oil had gotten on to the shaft, and that got onto the rubber seal, and bingo, what a squeaky racket that created. I removed the oil from the shaft with alcohol, and then used all that I had available to fix the problem, which was a wax candle. I coated the shaft with the wax by simply rubbing it on, and bingo, the problem was gone.

    • @new-knowledge8040
      @new-knowledge8040 4 года назад +4

      @@driverman9528 Still as good as new. The gas shocks, two of them, are part of my Nitroflex exercise equipment. One is small, the other is super large and thus is about the same size as those used on cars. Anyhow, both were making a heck of a racket. It sounded so bad I was ready to give up. But they still are as good as new up to this date, thanks to the wax treatment. OK, my shocks are not related to cars, but the principle is the same, and it worked like a charm. These shocks are about 20 years old, so it sure was worth the cost of a mere candle to bring them back to life again.
