Omg finally someone who showed how the GPU fits into the PCIe slot, I was so unsure if the GPU is supposed to "click" into the PCIe slot on this motherboard, I have been fiddling with my RTX 4070 Ti so much on this board during my build, concerned that it's not fully enganged in the slot, because there was no "click" sound and I have been concerned over this for days. Finally, someone showed that the GPU is indeed, not supposed to audibly "click" into the slot, thanks for that mate!
I build computer based on this board before 4 months from now and i am amazed by quality, i install i7 12700KF and memory gskill trident 64gb, i use old graphic card rtx 2070 super 12gb,Samsung SSD 980 pro, but computer is now very fast and all is in white case fractal torrent and i am very happy, i buy all on Amazon de because in Croatia prices fly up like crazy so i pay much cheaper on Amazon
gotta make 1 correction that the lga 1200 coolers are not the same as lga 1700 you need the different screws for the mounting of the cooler for the lga 1700. So even though the holes are the same the length of the screws are different so you still need that lga 1700 kit.

I am wondering if you will be creating a PC build with this motherboard? I've been considering the Gigabyte z690 Aero G DDR4 after viewing your videos, so I looked at its manual and the manual to this one. However, I've never built a PC, so I'm trying to learn as much as I can. I found after comparing both manuals the ASUS ROG Z690 explained things in much, much greater detail, so I would like to know if you might be featuring this motherboard in an upcoming build video?
It would be great if you make an overclocking guide with this specific motherboard for i912900k(s)..I have that duo (d4 and ks) with a 360 alf2 aio and the Temps are so so high (100c)..even in stocks settings..thanks bro
Which aio? 12th gen runs very hot so you need to pair with a very good air cooler or a good aio, and on top of that have good air flow, you have a 360mm rad as you claim but which one specifically, if I had to take a guess you need either a better case for more ventilation or if you have a good case, more fans to push air in and pull air out.
Also overclocking 12900ks I just flat out don't reccomend as it's not really worth imo, and if you do want to have good success from what I have seen you will need a custom loop with its own dedicated 360mm. I've seen 6 fan rads be able to handle a solid overclock but don't expect to go far at all with a aio
@@blast6809 I solve the problem..my Temps are fine now..I bought a new cpu contact frame like thermals grizzly one(but the chinas version) ,my aio is arctic liquid freezer ii but i exchanged the stock air funs with phantecks t30 3ple pack and adjusted them in a top pull configuration (push before),and finally I putted a thin layer of thermal paste all over the ihs (medium dot before) ..
@@alllemak good to hear but that's weird, even with decent fans and without contact frame it shouldn't be that insanely big of a difference, the aio is good quality 100%, just weird.
Thanks for your videos. I am just putting together my pc with that board. I bought it at Micro Center for $290; it was the same price as the Gigabyte due to a $20 sale. I mainly will use it for Photoshop and Lightroom. Hopefully I'll be back with glowing comments on this board when the build is done!
@@rsvii2524 Well, I do have some issues and I don't have the expertise to diagnose the problems. First let me say that I DID "update the flippin' BIOS"! ;-) I've updated everything I can think of. Depending on what I connect into a USB port, the mouse cursor freezes or behaves erratically. I have not yet connected my film scanners and large format printer so I don't know what will happen then. Another issue is occasional static from the speakers while watching RUclips episodes. This happens with two different speaker sets that were fine before. If I fast forward or reverse a few times the static disappears and I can continue watching the video. I also had a BSOD but have forgotten exactly what it said. Since then I uninstalled Asus Armory Crate (using their uninstall tool) since I saw that some people complained that it caused problems. The computer has behaved better since uninstalling Armory Crate. I'm hoping that these issues will get fixed with updates in the future. Or maybe someone here has suggestions.

I have the same Board, corsair dominator ddr4 3466 cl16 ram, i9 13900k, corsair h115i 280mm aio. My Problem is the score in Timespy, i have only 17-18k CPU points.... the score is too low...
I have this MOBO and I thought I’d purchased a great product but recently I’ve had the MOBO VGA (white) light come on. After having done some online research I found out that it’s more than likely do to the GPU not being properly mounted. After removing and trying to properly readjust the card I found that it doesn’t go into the pcie slot as smoothly as it should. I have removed the heatsink plates, case brackets on the side, and moving around the MOBO by loosening the mounting screws and the card just will not go in all the way. I don’t hear the traditional click one often hears after giving it a slight push. For those wondering, yes, I do experience issues when using my PC, such as sudden black screens that may or may not cause my game to exit from full screen. Again, that white VGA light is always on. After a thorough inspection of the board I’ve come to the conclusion that the white aesthetic attached to the pcie release button is too far up and so it does not allow enough clearance for the card to go in all the way. I have tried to really push the card in and angle it in as much as possible but I do not want to break anything by using excessive force. I have tried asking Reddit and Microsoft forums for help and I don’t seem to be the only one with this issue. I am going to try and find a solution but if in a few days I can’t find anything that remedies the problem then I am going to buy myself a different board and sell the Z690 A.
That white light means monitor not detected. Turn on your monitor before turning on your pc and the light goes away. This has been an issue with Asus boards for years. This does nothing to performance or operability of the board.
yeh i got the same set up wiv a 3090 msi but had to send it back get MOBORD changed somet was wrong & i know little to nothing about comps but from looking about i knew this was the problem
purchased this because of you. the ethernet lan does not work properly. keeps disconnecting from internet when downloading large files or watching youtube videos. the culprit is the intel i225-v network controller/driver. using windows 11 and about to return this junk

I bought the Rog Strix Helios case and it has to 3.0 cables to connect for the front connections but I am not seeing a way to connect both 3.0 usb? can anyone help? Is this mother board not able to connect both?

Hi REALLY need some advice please!!! I was all excited to get some new parts for a pc upgrade and purchased one of these motherboards for 200 pound . The website has now disappeared and it turns out it was a scam , I've to contact the bank and pray they give me a refund. Uneducated question here: I have my computer hard wired to router through a switch, and my NAS plugged into the same switch. Would the 2.5 port be of any value for my NAS connection if I wanted to connect both my internet and NAS to the computer? Hope that makes sense.
I'm not 100% what you're asking here, but depends on your NAS connection as well, is it 1G or 2.5G? But yeah, you'd get Internet NAS from the same connection from the switch.
i got a question about tbe m.2. if you use your m.2 ssd for your os should you put that on in the top slot by the cpu or should i use one of the chipset slots?
Not him but i'll try to answer. If im correct, the topmost M.2 slot is directly connected to the CPU. The other slots are connected to the chipset. So yeah, put your SSD on the top slot.
I'd say one of the top reasons to go with Rog mobo is the great Asus bios, as well as the quality of components in general which for the pricepoint are at the very top of the industry. I'd personally always choose Asus over Gigabyte unless the Gigabyte board specifically has an aesthetic or unique connections that are dealbreakers for you. Either way, can't go wrong with either board.

Only thing that kills this board is the audio my msi z690 and even gigabyte z390 can do 96000khz 24 bit but this asus z690 had huge audio issues with anything past 48000khz 16 bit sad😢 renders my arctis pro headset essentially useless
bro its z690 tuf wifi which is best.. this board is incompatible wd most coolers due large heatsinks and also dont have optical audio port. It damn expensive compared to tuf wifi. has removed sm extras and added 2 phase extra and a GPU removal button .
I'd say go Rog if you intend to overclock, go Tuf if you just want the best deal without sacrificing good quality. For avg consumer Tuf is definitely the way to go

depends what you want to do. Only do video editing and maybe some photoediting, go studio (although its super expensive for what you actually get overall). If you do 3d modelling, gaming, video editing with lots of effects etc, then go with i9 and 3090. If you think their power consumption is too high, just undervolt the components a bit and you will get better efficiency than the mac studio for the same price.

you should buy a dac anyways, who relies on onboard audio anymore. .

I'd say go Rog if you intend to overclock, go Tuf if you just want the best deal without sacrificing good quality. For avg consumer Tuf is definitely the way to go

depends what you want to do. Only do video editing and maybe some photoediting, go studio (although its super expensive for what you actually get overall). If you do 3d modelling, gaming, video editing with lots of effects etc, then go with i9 and 3090.
If you think their power consumption is too high, just undervolt the components a bit and you will get better efficiency than the mac studio for the same price.

@@SkateClipsAndTips all your components connect and are controlled by the board. The material and contents of the board are crucial. The mosfets, contacts, traces, caps, vrms, and pcb are all essential to the longevity and function. There’s reasons why boards range from $90-$2,000.
It's all relative, I'm looking at this and the ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Formula and it's $799. So this looks like steal next to that :D
