I liked the Valiant too. I thought he '61 Olds was the best (easiest) candidate to bring back, but I am happy you brought the Honda home. I'd like to see any follow-up about the Honda.
Rule of thumb on old bugs collectibility/value:..the older, the better...pre-war/wartime, worth the most(and dang near impossible to find, especially in the U.S.)...45-53 Splits, next(also quite hard to find in the U.S.)...53-57 oval, next(not common)...58-66..next..a lot of guys like 67's, they had a lot of 1-year only features...ragtops and cabriolets worth more in all years...68-up bugs, not generally worth near as much, unless they are cabriolets...not all criteria, but generally the way it goes...
It's always interesting to me to see abandoned farmsteads. I guess we assume the owner/s died. If they had family, they didn't want to deal with his farm/home and possessions. It's too bad we don't know more info about the backstory of this farmstead. When they died or when it was abandoned. Glad some of the items got saved.
If I bought the Plymouth, I'd bring it back. The 71 to 74 aren't everyone's favorite, but a group of us really like them alot. I'd say it's more of a candidate to be saved than so many absolute rust buckets floating around out there. It's unreal what people are getting for total rust Mopars so this is a step ahead of many available.
I will admit that I am a fan of 1960s and 1970s MOPAR products, but I was rooting for the Pymouth Valiant Signet to be saved. I thought that it was the rarer vehicle that is far less common to see, but I understand that the Satellite if more popular with the younger crowd.
'72 Plymouth satellite I would turn it into a Clown Road runner or GTX. It already has the competition orange Paint Which was very popular back then for these Cars, I think you found a diamond in the Rough Great find I would have bought it, that's for sure. Swap the motor out for a big block. Good luck
Mr. B. Here ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍 . Good morning from north east ! 11-10-23 2:50am OMG the 61 Oldsmobile body is outstanding. Many of your viewers many think am nuts some 4 doors should be saved ! Too bad the history just sitting there . The shells are good workings pieces from what I see on the video. This place looks like a ghost town !
got a 66 Barracuda one owner, so I was partial to the Valiant. I think I got everything with it too, even every old spark plug it ever used was included. Some people save everything.
I kinda thought you'd get that stick shift, dual carb Valiant. I had a '74 Satalite Sebring Plus with a 340, auto. It looked real sharp, but was a real dud.
Besides the cars, I'm sure it would have been fun digging through the junk in the collapsed barns. You never know what you might find. Of course, safety first!
the B1 tractor was made by Simplicity and sold by Allis -Chalmers and that bug is pre 1958 due to the non push button door handles.looking forward to your next video Karl from eastern Canada
I enjoy watching your videos. Your knowledge of things is amazing. Glad to see that you saved the Satellite. I liked the Valiant and the two other Bugs as well.
*@Mr. Goodpliers did you get that old Offenhauser dual carb manifold?* *Good call picking up that Satellite it’s not easy to find them without the floors and trunks rusted out, looks like you picked up the best 2 projects out of the bunch. I would have definitely snagged the taillights and rear bumper off of the 55’ Buick Special they are desirable hard to find pieces as well as that split bumper/grill on the Rambler, those have a cult following out here on the west coast. That Nash nose would be a cool piece to have for wall art if they are just going to scrap it* *Hope someone picked up that Oldsmobile, my friend has two 2 doors one is a convertibles he bought one to fix up the other and decided that the hard top was to nice to use as a parts car. You know how the story goes* 😅 *Those are one year only cars it would be ashamed if it got crushed they are nearly impossible to find parts for* *The only other thing I saw of any real value out there was that International tractor, that would definitely be worth rescuing.* *Someone may be interested in that little yellow tractor to rebuild but it probably wouldn’t be worth too much in that shape*
The '55 Buick would have been my choice as well. Not only the tail lights and rear bumper - but there was a lot of other trim that looked to be in pretty good shape. We never got a really good look at the interior but also, dash parts, arm rests, and garnish moldings are probably pretty sellable items too. I always thought that the design of those "55 to '58 tail fins would look cool grafted onto a rat rod or other custom build.
Man, I need all kinds of parts off that satellite.. to bad the rear bumper was messed up. They don't make reproduction ones for 72.. if you ended up buying it, hit me up if you want to part it out
It was a good pick. You have the eye to spot a good donor car. Or it could become a cracker paddock basher. Probably the first instance. But good score.
You`d have loved a 1971 RoadRunner I had way back in 1980-82 when it was still pristine. Had the 383 Commando + pistol grip 4sp. Other options were Air Grabber hood w/huge oval element, chrome everywhere underhood wrapped by bright orange body & black interior.
After watching several of these type videos and seeing all the old cars, tractors, trucks, TV's, appliances, trash etc... I've decided that none of these old farmstead owners ever threw anything away..... LOL
I’ve heard with the under dash evaporators if you use newer sandon compressor, condenser for R34 they work well. The old underdash evaporators are often copper newer are aluminum.
I had high hopes for it, but the plastic was completely brittle from the sun and heat. I tried to remove it as gently as I could but it totally fell apart... and all I was able to save were the face and vents
Since I’m from oklahoma I’ve been collecting Frigette units made in OKC. I saw one in an early nova with sandon compressor said it worked great. Have a 58 Chevy wagon I want to try it on. Have brackets, vintage air condenser, just ran out of time this summer @@mr.goodpliers6988
@@LAGuitarnetwork that's interesting! I wonder if they ran out of '61 materials at the end of the run. Definitely uncommon to see, but it happens-you've got one!
I owned one of thous and it was the best car l ever owned. What l sae in your bog it cam be fixed its not as bad l would keep it and if your not going to fix then sell it to a lover of Mopar. Did you buy the pick up ? Sir great sit please keep them coming. And what are they going to do with the land ? And if they are selling it how much
It’s funny how guys out west look at some of those old trucks and cars, and say “they’re used up.” Guys here in the Midwest would physically fight over them…
1964 valliant signet not 63 looks like it has the original hurst shifter and a superior steering wheel cal custom dipstick handle and one cal custom aircleaner
Add a quick glance it looked like there were some cool gauges and speedo on that old international pick up you got the power steering off of but I didn’t get a good look I’m glad you picked up some of those cans to make junk o lanterns ! The two newer bugs I thought there was enough there to make a Baja bug ! The car with the slant six and duel Carburetion was cool I’m glad you got to satellite it would look cool with some 15 x 4 Crager SS is upfront and maybe some 15 x 10 Crager SS is in the back and some cool yellow traction bars maybe even a wing out on the back trunk ! Good hunting stay safe out there !
Given the high price of new vehicles and the government mandated electrification by 2030, i think it would be wise to save ALL these old cars! Great video! Thanks for the adventure!
Quite a few comments asking about the fate of the Signet. You have omitted to answer this question!! DID it get saved?? A guy i know started with a similar age post model, and the only good parts on the car were the B pillars and the roof. It was revived after 1000's of hours work replacing rust and bad sections. So you can imagine my chagrin to see one this decent POSSIBLY get wasted. I believe you have been in this business a fair while, and must have met a bunch of similar minded guys in your state and adjoining ones to be able to start a network group to work together to save some of these beauties. Especially the ones that have withstood all the odds to still exist in this new millenium. Maybe in this case it was too late? Hmmmm. Writing from the other side of the planet but appreciate what you do save and the footage. Do these scrappies you liase with 'store' decent cars like Silas does?
It's a shame 4drs are neglected. I can (if they can) see them being fully restored &/or used as wedding cars or used on TV/movies set in the same period as the three GM vehicles, even the Rambler.
I can't believe you didn't try to score that Valiant. That was the find of the whole place.
I really liked the 61 Buick.Clean dry more door and excellent color
I liked the Valiant too. I thought he '61 Olds was the best (easiest) candidate to bring back, but I am happy you brought the Honda home. I'd like to see any follow-up about the Honda.

The Valiant did escape the crusher. See the Part Two video from this location!
61-63 Allis Chalmers B-1 garden tractor built by Simplicity. Those are collectable to the rite person. I would love to have that old Valiant.
I know the Oldsmobile wasn't a highly desireable car, but that color was great. Never saw one before. Twilight mist.
That Honda motorcycle will make some collector very happy. Great score. Too bad you didn't have room for the boat.
Honda 305 Dream
64 to 66. I believe my 2nd Motorcycle when I was 14,
1st bike was a 150 Dream 13 at that time
You did the right thing taking the old Honda home - put it on the net and it may just surprise you
Should have got the valiant too. Would have been cool to throw another 6 in it & bang threw the gears

The Plymouth Valiant Signet was my most favorite car, in the video. That was a snazzy car !
My favorite was the 1961 Oldsmobile and the Buick next to it .
That valiant would have been my pick
Cool finds. I might have chosen the Valiant over the Satellite, mostly for the dual carb Offy intake. Take care, brother.
It brings back old memories. I would love to see a will it run on the Honda motorcycle
Yep! Honda Dream. Collector worthy to save for parts at least.AL B.
Save the Valiant with the duel carb manifold
Definitely restore the Satellite. My brother had a blue one back in the day.Cool nose and body style on these cars.

Some pretty good saves
surprise you didnt buy the gas cans . I love the buicks more Good bones on the satellite keep it till parts car comes along
The 57 Chevy 3600 had real nice dash pieces. A radio deluxe heater, speaker on rooftop decent grill and accessory bumper guards. Good stuff!!!!!
Easy to identify the 1957 as it had a one year only grill.
Go back for the Valiant.
The faded memories of the wind blown farms. If the wind could talk and not just give hints....

i think the b1 riding mower is Allis Chalmers
totally agree, it is.
Hi tim my pick is the olds . Cheers mate🇦🇺
The grill screen on the B1 appeared to be intact. The work ripped our torn out on a regular basis. Be worth the buy if you go back there.
58 Chevy big truck still had the ignition with key also coll
that GMC emblem off the truck in the crusher is still 100 USD worth

Allis owned Simplicity at the time it was made.
The bug was a 1962 - it had a fuel gauge, large tail light, and rectangle back window
Last year with fins on a rambler is1961 My grandfather last car was a 1961 rambler classic
that brick garage with a tin roof is cool

Hi! First time watching your blog. The Volkswagen in the video is a 62 or 63. Black with Red interior.
You picked the right vehicle. A shame you couldn't get that 2 Plymoth too, but I understand.
good pickups sir
Incredible story on the abandoned farm stead w/all. Good luck on ur Mopar!

I think you should've bought the '63 valiant it looked to appear in good shape .
Reminds me of my Great Grandparents place in western Kansas..

I hope you snagged the Offenhauser intake off the Dart. A rare Mopar performance accessory. AL B.
B 1 is part of the Allis Chalmers line. Built by Simplicity and marketed by Allis Chalmers from 1961 to 1963.

Looks like it could be a Starcraft/ Springbok boat. Thanks for another great farm tour Tim. Josh
The first bug gas tank last year 1960, The taillights are later 68 .
This is one all mixed up. THE blue one looks like a 71 super,
Love your videos, Mr. GP. Consider saying the car was "dragged" out of the garage, not "drug" out. Unless maybe there were actual drugs involved. Ha.

guess on the v dub @ 15:20 would be a 66 cause it has a fuel gauge... old honda is a 305 dream '66?
Wish I had that blue 57 Chevrolet truck
I liked the 2 deuces.
It was a good pick. You have the eye to spot a good donor car. Or it could become a cracker paddock basher. Probably the first instance. But good score.
I believe it is up to you on saving them but the car is worth it so is the Honda. But I am sure there will be enough people wanting them
valiant is a 64 pretty kool
Good score on the motorcycle. The dream 305 is worth double what all the other 305 models are. My price guide published in 2022 says 2-4K vs 1-1.5K
Yes for sure
I saw a 65 CA77 Dream Touring (305) fully restored sold on Bring a Trailer for $8700.
🤔 How does a guy buy this from ya?
