  • This is the craziest old car junkyard I have ever seen! There is so many desirable cars that have been abandoned that it is overwhelming. It makes you wonder how one person can collect so many vehicles. Let us know which ride is your favorite!

Past mid sixties the American cars were white bread. I used to drive cars like the ones here to the wrecking yard to get parts for the classic beauties of the fifties. Mid sixties my uncle quit the wrecking yard business and started crushing up huge collections of cars all over Texas. Made a lot more money but it was heartbreaking to see the old cars turned into refrigerators. Toyota makes the best cars ever for the average person but they will be left behind by Tesla and BYD.
Old farts like me and the technology of my generation are past the sell by date.

No, it was a Bertone. I had one. The bodies were always built by Bertone. They sold the bodies, to Fiat, who installed drivetrains, and sold them, under the Fiat name. When Fiat decided to end production, Bertone wasn't ready to end it, so instead, bought Fiat drivetrains, and built the cars themselves, and they were sold as Bertones. My title, said Bertone, not Fiat.

Lovely cars, ❤❤❤ sadly to see all those wonderful cars rustying away,.....I really hope they will be saved and fixed, they all need to go out on the road again, ....I love old cars & motorcycles, ❤❤❤ best regards, Ted from Sweden.

I know where a few hidden yards are that are similar to this but not quite as large and you have access to the cars

There used to be a place like that not too far from me. Nowhere near that big, but it was a treasure trove of older cars, and I found a fair bit of parts there over the years. Even bought a radiator hose once off a junk car to replace the one I'd blown on the way there!
Unfortunately, the last time I went it'd been mostly cleaned out. Someone had bought it, discovered the yard owed money to all kinds of places, and had to crush everything to get enough pay the debts. (Or so the counterman said.)

Sister had a new, loaded 1980 V6. Water pump went out with less than 2K miles. Had to pull the engine to replace it. I was instantly not a fan. These old Mopar 4 door pick ups though...👌

@1223baddad I have a 1982 Citation "X-11" that I bought from an estate sale as just a backup car. Had no idea what it was or the history of it I had never seen one in my life. The car only had 30k miles on it. All I had to do was replace the fuel pump and ignition module and it fired right up. Been running great. I now have over 100k miles on it with no issues. Maybe I just got a particularly good one though.

Favorite car was the Charger ( which was a 70) I wasn't sure until I saw the grill because the 69-70 taillights the same and the 69 is my dream car, someday 🤔

First-gen, pre-facelift Escort at 5:16. I’ve loved the Mercury version for a shade over three decades now, particularly the 1982 base model 2-door in medium blue metallic with matching interior. No bodyside trim, an open space between the door and quarter window and sometimes no console at all in the manuals, making for a very clean look in my opinion.
As for that Dodge A-van, back in the late 80s when I was in grade 2, there was a dark blue Fargo-badged example (the “R” missing from the front) parked long term on the grass just beyond a driveway near my school, also full of junk.

I DO need the grill on the '70 Charger! The front bumper, too! I see a lot of Missouri plates and I'm in Oklahoma. Easy striking distance! Would he sell to me?

Crazy. I have been to many junkyards, they are really meant to provide parts and projects. Makes me wonder what is the point of hoarding this and not making use of it? Seems like such a waste.

There was a yard like this where I'm at in Michigan. The guy passed away and they sold it to a scrap yard company and it all got crushed. So many classics gone.
