Glad the Buick is working out. I hope to see it all cleaned up. Good luck with it going forward. Too bad about that MG Midget. It deserved better than it got.
Nice Buick !!! A guy over here loves me them 1970s and early 80s cars. I own a 77 el camino currently with a 350 and factory 4bbl. 83,000 miles. I use and drive and have pulled a trailer with it. Like your Buick it's a lot of fun
Yeah, maybe getting off topic, but cicadas are my favorite insects. I like hearing them in the trees. Personality wise, they seem gentle and tame, my experience anyways. Car wise, yes, their faces and eyes look like the front of many late 30s and 40s cars and trucks. Imagine a bug with the front of a 47 Dodge pickup for a face😂.
Unbeliavable! There was another guy in existence that stored more parts, tools and junk inside the car trunks than me.While some of the stuff is completely useless, there seem to be a few useful things too. I had to empty my Chevy trunk. And a few tools were there that I did not remember where I had stored them.
Love your channel .. 2dr.vs 4 dr. Impala debate.. , I would think a nice 2dr. would bring more.twice as much maybe then a 4 dr. .. Keep them coming great videos. 👍
The crazy thing is, it doesn't even help a 67 if it's an SS car. The SS 396 convertible I showed in the sold examples didn't even crack $30k, and the SS hardtop only did $15k
The Impalas look cool. The MG is a collectable classic here in Europe especially since it has the chromed bumper and grill instead of the later thick plastic ones. But being a British car, the parts are only available for it in Western Europe, mostly UK of course, but me living in East of Europe would have to spend huuge pile of cash to restore it.
Moss Motors and other reproduction parts businesses in the U.S. have a reasonably well stocked lineup of restoration parts for them. But the home country generally is the best place to look for spare parts for any certain vehicle
Looking at that house makes me realize that at one time it was considered to be a nice dwelling. Concrete foundation instead of wood or stones meant it was built to last a while and it did. Probably built in the 1940's.
Here in PA, many old dealerships became CVS or Walgreens. Having owned three Oldsmobiles from the 1980s, including an '87 442 I bought new and still own, this man had pretty bad luck between the engine (less Diesel) and the trans.
Who's your tour guide, Boomhauer? Can't understand much of what he says! I liked the anti-psycho shower curtain. The Buick is super nice. Love the treasure hunting.... too bad you didn't buy the other car!
I know they cost more than you paid for the whole car, but a set of repro bumper fillers would be a good investment for the Leh-Sah-bray. What's left of the rear bumper filler looks like it's made out of stucco and it really drags down on the cool preservation look the rest of the car has going for it. Even though they're very spendy, I end up putting repro bumper fillers (and front fender ends) on some of the Eldorados I buy. A cool two-weekend project that makes a big difference.
I found a set of front and rear for a little under $500. I think they'll make this car $1000 better, so I agree with you it's a great investment. Thanks for the suggestion!
Great stuff Tim !! Thank you so much for sharing your journey !!! Looking at that rebuild sheet on the engine, seeing that it had spark plugs listed, probably was a gas engine. You think it might have been when the diesel was removed ? Thank you again for taking your time to share !! Please be careful and God bless you and yours !!! Eddy
That old farmhouse sink is actually worth a few bucks. I see it's been mentioned but, the first thing I thought of when I saw that guy was Lebay and there was a 58 Fury sitting out there.
I am often a big mouth how good old cars were . But imagine. The car was 6 years old and needed not only an engine overhaul, but also a transmission replacement. I remember how the European GMs went downhill in the late Eighties and early Ninties. I never liked Fords, they were even worse. That is one reason why my vehicles I regard worth saving are all pre 1970 cars. They were sportier, prettier and more reliable. But I think this Buick is a good, simple daily commuter.
The 70s and early 80s were a bad time for the fat and happy US automakers. The invasion of very good foriegn cars showed the Americans that we weren’t going to keep buying them no matter how bad they were
Just a Thought, You said something at 44:30 they had rebuilt the motor and said it had new spark plugs with the rebuild, Diesels don't have spark plugs, my guess that is a gas engine that was rebuilt and was used to replace the Diesel.
In St Louis a lot of the car dealerships turn into a car wash or store There is one doing it used to be King Dodge. Now is the new location for McMahon Ford
Gotta say that's a shame on the old house, looked like it wouldn't be that extreme to save it. The old box cars are cool as anything else you've had on the channel. Also proof that shipping container shops are nothing new!
I thought the same thing. This county is VERY stingy regarding country properties to build on. So any time something is sold, there's a line of people ready to pay premium prices. The owner is aware of that I think, but believes there's a better long-term return to put it to crop land
I have been a fan and we have commented .you made my grandaughter a gear head..and u commented on my dads passing..for some reason i cant comment on any channels any more..but i got a laptop and now I can talk again..I have a friend that is a woman looking for a late 70s 4 door impalla...here in the great rust nort thats a big ask..what would you charge for 1?
I'd save the train box cars over the MG!! That house doesn't look that bad, i'd live in it, but then again I have low standards!! It's surprising how quick a house deteriates when not lived in, I have a house that got tangled up in a nasty divorce, been abandoned 10 years now, roof is starting to fail, someone broke in and stole god knows what and now rats just live there! Buick trunk treasure was neat to see, thanks Tim!
They say everything on the property is going to be razed and turned to crop land. It's probably not much more effort to move them whole - either way, they will have to go
That's not my own conclusion, it's an objective observation of where the market is. Tastes and preferences do change over time. You'd probably think it's crazy but there are fully restored 67 Impala Sport Sedans being listed in the $50-75k range. Another fascinating one is the 1971-76 GM full size B body wagons. They have a small fraction of the survival rate of C3 Corvettes of the same model years, and can match or even surpass the value of the Corvettes
The 67 Chevy four door hardtops are beautiful cars. That body style will never happen again and I hope someone rebuilds one of yours.
Glad the Buick is working out. I hope to see it all cleaned up. Good luck with it going forward. Too bad about that MG Midget. It deserved better than it got.

Looks like my nightmares will be returning after viewing that house ;)
That LeSabre was actually a really good buy, it's a great car.
Still like that Buick it looks nice, I still think you got a nice gem out of it anyways thank you for the video
that leSabre is so nice!

I’m hoping to see that Buick polished up. Those Buick wheels are my favorite

Really interesting episode. Love the nostalgia.✌👍
That MG midget is 67 version, those are the best ones, actually. Wood box cars are super cool. Luv, Dubs
You got a lotta cool cars!
70's
Buick mags to me were always the nicest.
Agreed, like they're a relative to a Cragar SS rim thing going on.
Al most forgot -- Pontiac rocked that similar design back in the day, that kinda-sorta Cragar SS influence.
You got a really good deal on that car
very interesting video Mr. Goodpliers, the buick is very nice and the 67 Impala and Caprice are coming along well 👍
Very cool!!!!

I could see the back of the Buick go up as you unloaded the trunk.
That guy reminds me of the guy on that great old movie Christine!!😂
I thought the exact same thing.

Someone drove it in winter/,,,,😮cool find

cool vid
your vids are the best. Actually, like we are there and such respect and connection to the hosts you are with, 5 stars!
Thanks for your kind words Mike. For some reason this one didn't get a lot of reach though
That walk to the mgnarn had all the markings of the begining of "B's horror movie
I was thinking George LeBay. But that's just me
Except the lead man stares at his phone the whole way. Obviously a well trodden path to horror (of MG)
Great vid again thanks.
In 1975 I had a 1967 2 door Caprice. It had a squared off roof line instead of the fastback roof line.
FORMAL ROOF .....

0 how Rusty is the mg
Walking around in all that crispy tinder with a lit cigarette --- probably not the wisest choice 😂🔥

I'm surprised they didn't drill the trunk lock to look for treasures
Anyone else think of George LeBay when the seller lead the way back to the barn?
Guy even talked like him!
THAT POOR MG IS POOCHED.....POOR CAR....THR BOX CAR FIND WAS INTERESTING THOUGH...
That rebuild receipt shows spark plugs. It was gas powered at that time
Those wooden rail cars are more rare than that MG.
Hell, they're probably more rare than most any of the vehicles between Tim & Joe!!

Toilet paper looks good. At least you got that going for ya!
Not long ago it was worth more than he paid for the car lol
The little green rubber pouch had a folding shovel in it. Complete kit 😉
But seriously there were a few good pieces. Snap On battery tester, tools and chemicals

Was the Buick built in Flint Michigan?
Fairfax plant in Kansas City
@MrGoodpliers I have MOST the parts you need. I'm in OKC. I will trade you for a set of the front bumper guards
Let's talk about it. Email me mrgoodpliers1985@gmail.com
Thanks!
Gasoline engine rebuild receipt says spark plugs, diesels don't have spark plugs.
Whats to come of the MG did you buy it.
It's not really my thing. I think he would take $1200 for it
At least snag the spoke wheels off the MG
The engine rebuild would be a gas engine because it had spark plugs
Did you buy the MG?
This one really isn't my thing. He would probably take $1200 for it
If they put spark plugs in the rebuilt engine I would guess it would be a gas engine
Great catch! I was a little underslept when filming and didn't connect those dots
You're going to start running out of auctions to go to
1972 MG Midget. No Value Left
This one is a 1967. It's a little rough to try to rebuild but there are lots of good parts
Maybe there’s something good under the backseat.
MGB
No it’s a 1967-69 MG Midget Mk3 with 1275ccA series engine
1976, about the time he started on meth...
