Rick is the torchbearer of light and civility. This may not look very civil, but you can't have a civilization or civility without justice. Each villain of The Walking Dead represents a different stage of the fall of civilization, and Gareth represented better than any other villain the depravity we'll justify against our fellow man in the name of "survival". It wasn't enough to escape from his own tormenters, Gareth's group became tormentors as well. Rick may have brought a brutal sentence and had moments of "our group vs. everyone else", but the comic and TV series make it really clear that if he could have peace and civility, he'd opt for that every time if he thought it was real.

Perhaps the most satisfying revenge scene on a TV show ever. What Rick said at 4:05 summons up who he was. Not only was he getting retribution for what they did to his group along with what they did to their past victims, but also by eliminating them to prevent further victims. This to me, best illustrated the heroic nature of Rick Grimes.
This was always one of the top best scenes of TWD with Rick Grimes in it. Hes a mean fucking savage in here and I love it. I like that Sasha is the one to take out Mike because I am sure Tyrese told her what happened with Mike and Judith. That man threatened to snap a baby's neck. Gareth was the best villain in the series until Negans intro episode imo. These are the only two villains that genuinely scared me. When Terminus first aired, i remember staring in horror at them being hung over the vats like pigs ready for slaughter. These were the golden days of TWD. We thought Gabriel was a one-episode long goner too!. And there's absolutely nothing to reason with with Gareth. Whereas with the Governor there is actually reasons. Even Negan had reasons. Gareth? Gareth is a feral, rabid, hungry dog, devoid of humanity and a danger to anyone he meets. Reasons don't matter. He just wants your flesh.
2:13 always bugged me that they didn't have Abraham sneak up on his left side, where he actually couldn't see because of his eye. Seems like an easy detail to make the scene more natural.

@@-_-ligma Oh it's the end of the effing world, get over it!

Well, if the group listened to Rick from the beginning and went back to Terminus to finish them off, this wouldn’t have happened…and Bob would still have his leg.
While that is true, Bob was still a dead man anyway since he got bit before the cannibals cut his leg off
@christopherkennedy4076 I mean theoretically if they took the time to kill everyone at terminus things could have changed. Gabriel was on his last legs when the group found him, if they stopped to kill terminus he might have died before they met him, then Bob would be alive as they'd never go to the food bank. Even if they somehow end up at the food bank, the walker that bit him might have moved around a bit.
@@mappingshaman5280 I do agree that timing is everything and if they did use the rifles to take out the rest of them, things would’ve been different. I was more referring to if the same events played out, minus Bob getting kidnapped and becoming tainted meat
Honestly when I loved watching the walking dead the earlier seasons were by far the most memorable and where they showed how badass Rick and the gang really were
"Let me take you out there... I'll show you" 😂😂 rick is too funny
Brutal but the comics was WAY more brutal
How so?
just got done reading this, it just cuts away honestly.
@@thecowboy9698 here, Rick and the group just kills them, brutally of course but that’s it. In the comics, Rick and the group torture them to death for hours. You don’t really see the torture but you kinda see the aftermath. You later hear what they did later on. Torturing them one by one while making the others watch, breaking bones, cutting off limbs, and god knows what else. They show up to the cannibals camp while the sun was out and left when it was dark as hell.
@@derrickt7258And they deserved every second. My gut still turns when you see that teddy bear at the "items" table in terminal.
F*cking animals had it coming.
@@Bathtubcrocodile even that part is worse in the comics. That scene in the show confirmed that they kill and eat kids but in comics, they admit that the first ones they ate were their own kids and that’s how killing others for food got easier. Man I was not pissed when they died. Hell in the show, they started off helping people and only became monsters after the raid, in the comics, they only started eating people because they were terrible hunters, I shit you not. That was literally the cannibals excuse, “hunting deer and animals is really hard for us while people were easier” is what the leader said. Fuck those lazy fucks
I feel for Garrett and his group honestly they became monsters because they ran into monsters that tortured their group. But they made a choice to become monsters after the fact.
Yeah same. I felt kinda bad when Gareth tried pleading for mercy. But these guys killed and ate any survivors after they retook their community. What happened to them was evil. But they just inherited that evil and it needed to be gone
@@ichangedmyusernamebecausei2551 yeah it was a messed up situation they tried to help and ended up getting destroyed in more ways than 1 and what they rebuilt wasn't a good thing
0:10 missed this Rick, bro was just thinking “ in what way should I kill this guy”🤣🤣
The show was so fucking good at this point.

Rick is a lovely friendly type...on his day
This is the most satisfying scene I’ve seen
Perhaps the most satisfying revenge scene on a TV show ever. What Rick said at 4:05 summons up who he was. Not only was he getting retribution for what they did to his group along with what they did to their past victims, but also by eliminating them to prevent further victims. This to me, best illustrated the heroic nature of Rick Grimes.
This was always one of the top best scenes of TWD with Rick Grimes in it. Hes a mean fucking savage in here and I love it. To be fair, Rick would of maybe spared him if he didn't have him and his family kneeling over a blood drain while people were getting there head bashed in and throat slit. OH and they ate whats his names leg.
Bob. And that ish happened the other day in Cali. Train accident and rando picks up a human leg started eating it. I swear look it up.
I love the moment when Gareth sees the machete cause rick doesn't even have to say the next line. You could see him instantly swell up in fear remembering the promise
Rick, Sasha, Abraham and Michonne: 😡👹🔪🔪🩸
Glenn, Maggie, Tara and Tyrone: 👁️👄👁️
i think you meant tyreese
Whats truly great about andy in season 5. When hes talking, he almost never blinks, just a cold dead stare. Truly showing someone whose in a ruthless state of mind
Vote for Rick, he keeps his promises.
This is what true friendship looks like.
Man, Rick learned a lot during his internship with that Mexican cartel.
Season 5 Rick would’ve made Negan run pissing his pants
Funfact: negan said that himself
@@zyad_officialI'm glad you said it bro, negan actually said this when watching the interview of rick as he turned up to Alexandria 😂
Can’t top these years man. Being like 15 years into the apocalypse and only having big groups fight isn’t the same as early survival and small groups having their tense and actually serious situations.
You said it best! The smaller encounters more common during seasons 1-6 were a charming part of it still being somewhat earlier into the apocalypse, I miss it 💔
I like that Sasha is the one to take out Mike because I am sure Tyrese told her what happened with Mike and Judith. That man threatened to snap a baby's neck. If Tyrese wasn't a beast, he would've died. So I think every stab went with her thinking, "You. Don't Mess. With. My. Brother. And. A Baby!!!"
3:20 watch how rick follows his movement bro. Rick was fierce bruh
Like a predator eyeing his prey 🥶
He has to be aware what garielf trying to do.
1:43 it's a good thing they're in a church, look who's kneeling down
0:45 Rick looks so genuinely insane, I'd be scared to test him even tied up.
stone cold murderous rick was a force to be reckoned with
2:50 Oh you poor fool, Rick made up his mind several days back.
sasha went crazy wtf
Well, I be piss too. That cannibal thought you lost, follow you, take your Lover, eat their legs
“Put your guns on the floor.” Man that authority of Rick. Straight ruthless & vengeful.
Abe’s “you wanna bet?” Carried 😂
Lincoln was at his best here. Look at the INTENSE eyes. Classic "FULL RICK" moment. Never go "FULL SHANE" got nothing on "FULL RICK"!
Back when TWD was still good
Ginge can't lie I ain't watched it in 6 7 years ...I stumbled on these vids on my kick feed ...and I've had a few drinks..wen it was gud it was quality .we know this
>wastes a bullet just to blow gareths fingers off
>we didnt wanna waste the bullets
Yeah rick just wanted to keep his promise
maybe it amused him? lol
Watching one clip gives me the itch to rewatch the entire show again.! "The ones who live " will be here so soon! Can't wait for RICK TO BE BACK!!
Rick: "that's what I'm gunna use to kill you".
Bob: "Rick, shut tf up".😂
Mans calmly and without remorse said we didn't want to waste the bullets....at that point I'm like alright imma head out
I love the "Besides... I already made you a promise." line
But if there was any other line it'd have to be this
"Besides... If you want to walk away and keep eating people... Then join The Walking Dead!" lol
4:16 en ese momento esa tipa sintio el verdadero terror ( es obvio que también se lo merecia)
Abraham was always my favorite character.
Abraham was probably the best side character in the show. I wish he stayed.
“No point in begging, right?”
“No.”
*Immediately starts begging*
I just realized he was about to execute him at 4:04… and then he remembered he made him a promise.😮
That dude with the hoodie is such a beast of an antagonist
Abraham got one of the most brutal human kills in this show by far just smashing in dudes face with the but end of an m16 was not a painless death lol.
too bad this Rick isn't the one that met Negan
I miss these days..the sunday nights the theme music. Even the boring seasons were entertaining ill be down for any WD spinoff they can think of
3:57 Andrew Lincoln's subtle mannerisms that he gives to Rick as a character. They make him so rich and lived-in. I love little moments like this pistol raise.
When Rick gets the empty look in his eye. It’s beautiful what comes next
I wonder if these cannibal guys were a part of the saviors at one point. The leader said that they used to save people until “they” came.
This was one of the best and most brutal scenes in the show.
twd was at it's best when rick was fighting back....every time this would happen i would say about time.....
I miss this TWD. Negan was awesome at first, but really he was a sign of the end. Not the actor’s fault, he was great. The writers just saw how popular he was and milked tf out of him.
Agreed he did receive a bit too much screen time..the show lost its meat...too many gud boys n gals getting whacked ..Glenn especially. And the ginger one .too many bodies dropped
Ironic: Abraham bashes a guys head in….
It's like poetry - it rhymes
@@ajdominguez1002George?

One of, if not the most gruesome scene in the show (with the Negan lineup), and it was done in a church lol. Season 5 was insane
Such an awesome scene.
“We didn’t wanna waste the bullets” Slice and dice lol
Hands down the best revenge killing scene of all time. Just great!!!
This was cold 🥶
They outplayed the fuck out of those cannibals
2:13 always bugged me that they didn't have Abraham sneak up on his left side, where he actually couldn't see because of his eye. Seems like an easy detail to make the scene more natural.
wow I forgot how much this foreshadowed Negan's actions
That camera angle of the red handle before the line. Great production 😎
i wonder how the conversation is like after they’re finished. the rest of the group who didn’t kill just watching then rick would say
“alright gang let’s take their weapons and meds. we’ll camp out here til morning”
Rick : " Who's for a game of scrabble "
Now that's how you deal with cannibals.
