Fast forward a few seasons later: Rick and his group bump against a rival group being led by Shane as his own kind of figurative “Governor” or Negan, and CONFLICT ENSUES.

One continuity error I noticed is that Ricks iconic murder jacket disappeared for a while during season 5. He wasn't scene carrying it in any scenes, but yet suddenly he has it while they are in Alexandria?
The murder jacket goes where it is needed. It taught everything it knew to the beard and then it left. It had to come back once the beard left. For it knows that if it did? The beard would come back too.
This was the season where they finally all realized that Rick’s way was the only way. Had they done it his way in going after the hospital group, Beth would’ve lived. His plan was to go in prepared to kill her people as they took the building. But the group wanted to play hostage swap and there ya go.
I’ve always enjoyed that post prison real world arc of the walking dead, it genuinely feels like survival and not just being complacent in some soft ass community.

Ricks revolver is a colt python. Those take three types of ammunition . 38, 357, 44. Obviously where it's a TV show his weapon is a prop and the blanks don't have the recoil a bullet would. However in real life colt python revolvers operate by giving the marksman interchangeable cylinders . So you can change out ammo. This is a more optimal option so one isn't relegated to only one type of revolver ammunition. The only flaw is the cylinder change outs make it more expensive. Which is why colt no longer makes the python. But they are still out there if someone has the money they can get one of the preexisting revolvers made thru second hand sales .
