Last time i was hassled by cops. I was working. They refused to verify what i was doing and where i worked when i handed her a business card. Detained me unlawfully for over 30 minutes as well as my husband. She wanted id. Had her hand on her gun the whole time. I explained i have never HAD an id. She called a supervisor. They CLEARLY did not believe me. But I didn't talk my ass off. I stayed there. Let them do everything. And eventually they left me alone. I quit my job that day even though I could not afford to. Not worth getting face to face with CRAZY cops who are looking for any reason (and trying to manufacture one) to SHOOT you or CAGE and KIDNAP you

@@Безприукрашения You're saying he has bias, when you yourself just proved that you're the one with the bias. What he said was his opinion, and all opinions have bias. I've had a cop pull me over and lie to my face several times. It's almost like they're asking for the public to hate them at this point. I had to get a dashcam when I realized how scummy they are. They're just ego-inflated humans who think they can bully anyone because they were given a badge and a gun, with virtually no requirements that any human can't get. Btw, about that "they already have body cams" - they tap them to distort audio. Had that fucker do it to me before I knew what he was doing. Reason why I found this channel initially. I ventured to understand my rights, maybe more so than the cops that enforce them. They don't care about the law, they only care about their own emotions and egos. I'm disgusted at the state of the modern officer. How is it harrassment? They can turn those body cams off whenever they please. It's ensuring that both parties act professional in all legal manners to be discussed in court. Sometimes you have to grow up, put your ego aside, and think with your head instead of your feelings.

Doubt that's the reason. They seem to have zero problems blatantly lying on their reports for stuff they know have been recorded. It's probably because they know what dirty pigs they are and they most likely gonna do something unethical. For example the police man will beat on his daughter and wife brutally only behind the closed door, in public it will be a gentleman. Similarly it knows it is dirty and does not want to be exposed on camera when inevitably it will act like the pig that it is.

“ *Those who are capable of tyranny are capable of perjury to sustain it* .”
“... *only those who have the will and the power to shoot down their fellow men, are the real rulers in this, as in all other (so-called) civilized countries; for by no others will civilized men be robbed, or enslaved* .”
― Lysander Spooner, No Treason: The Constitution of No Authority
*"So these villains, who call themselves governments, well understand that their power rests primarily upon stolen money* . *With money they can hire soldiers, and with soldiers extort money* . *And, when their authority is denied, the first use they always make of money, is to hire soldiers to kill or subdue all who refuse them more money* ."
*-The payment of taxes, being compulsory, of course furnishes no evidence that any one voluntarily supports the Constitution* .
*It is true that the theory of our Constitution is, that all taxes are paid voluntarily; that our government is a mutual insurance company, voluntarily entered into by the people with each other; that each man makes a free and purely voluntary contract with all others who are parties to the Constitution, to pay so much money for so much protection, the same as he does with any other insurance company; and that he is just as free not to be protected, and not to pay any tax, as he is to pay a tax, and be protected* .
*But this theory of our government is wholly different from the practical fact* . *The fact is that the government, like a highwayman, says to a man: Your money, or your life* . *And many, if not most, taxes are paid under the compulsion of that threat* ;.
*The government does not, indeed, waylay a man in a lonely place, spring upon him from the road side, and, holding a pistol to his head, proceed to rifle his pockets* . *But the robbery is none the less a robbery on that account; and it is far more dastardly and shameful* .
*The highwayman takes solely upon himself the responsibility, danger, and crime of his own act* . *He does not pretend that he has any rightful claim to your money, or that he intends to use it for your own benefit* . *He does not pretend to be anything but a robber* . *He has not acquired impudence enough to profess to be merely a “protector,” and that he takes men’s money against their will, merely to enable him to “protect” those infatuated travellers, who feel perfectly able to protect themselves, or do not appreciate his peculiar system of protection* . *He is too sensible a man to make such professions as these* . *Furthermore, having taken your money, he leaves you, as you wish him to do* . *He does not persist in following you on the road, against your will; assuming to be your rightful “sovereign,” on account of the “protection” he affords you* . *He does not keep “protecting” you, by commanding you to bow down and serve him; by requiring you to do this, and forbidding you to do that; by robbing you of more money as often as he finds it for his interest or pleasure to do so; and by branding you as a rebel, a traitor, and an enemy to your country, and shooting you down without mercy, if you dispute his authority, or resist his demands* . *He is too much of a gentleman to be guilty of such impostures, and insults, and villanies as these* . *In short, he does not, in addition to robbing you, attempt to make you either his dupe or his slave* .
*The proceedings of those robbers and murderers, who call themselves “the government,” are directly the opposite of these of the single highwayman* .
*In the first place, they do not, like him, make themselves individually known; or, consequently, take upon themselves personally the responsibility of their acts* . *On the contrary, they secretly (by secret ballot) designate some one of their number to commit the robbery in their behalf, while they keep themselves practically concealed* . *They say to the person thus designated:*
*Go to A- B-, and say to him that “the government” has need of money to meet the expenses of protecting him and his property* . *If he presumes to say that he has never contracted with us to protect him, and that he wants none of our protection, say to him that that is our business, and not his; that we choose to protect him, whether he desires us to do so or not; and that we demand pay, too, for protecting him* . *If he dares to inquire who the individuals are, who have thus taken upon themselves the title of “the government,” and who assume to protect him, and demand payment of him, without his having ever made any contract with them, say to him that that, too, is our business, and not his; that we do not choose to make ourselves individually known to him; that we have secretly (by secret ballot) appointed you our agent to give him notice of our demands, and, if he complies with them, to give him, in our name, a receipt that will protect him against any similar demand for the present year* . *If he refuses to comply, seize and sell enough of his property to pay not only our demands, but all your own expenses and trouble beside* .
*If he resists the seizure of his property, call upon the bystanders to help you (doubtless some of them will prove to be members of our band)* . *If, in defending his property, he should kill any of our band who are assisting you, capture him at all hazards; charge him (in one of our courts) with murder, convict him, and hang him* . *If he should call upon his neighbors, or any others who, like him, may be disposed to resist our demands, and they should come in large numbers to his assistance, cry out that they are all rebels and traitors; that “our country” is in danger; call upon the commander of our hired murderers; tell him to quell the rebellion and “save the country,” cost what it may* . *Tell him to kill all who resist, though they should be hundreds of thousands; and thus strike terror into all others similarly disposed* . *See that the work of murder is thoroughly done, that we may have no further trouble of this kind hereafter* . *When these traitors shall have thus been taught our strength and our determination, they will be good loyal citizens for many years, and pay their taxes without a why or a wherefore* .
*It is under such compulsion as this that taxes, so called, are paid* . *And how much proof the payment of taxes affords, that the people consent to support “the government,” it needs no further argument to show* .
      *Lysander Spooner (1870)*

@whykar4920 it's more of a violation of our 4th Amendment rights.Treading on that one sets a dangerous precedent that places a nation of laws onto the path of tyranny. If we give in to unreasonable searches and seizures, we forfeit our Inalienable rights to liberty; the freedom to exist without unjust harassment. And if the citizen gives carte blanche to agents of the State to enforce laws however they feel like it, how dangerous would it be for the tourist and the immigrant? The men who penned the Constitution, and those who amended it as necessary realized the importance of placing power into the hands of the individual citizen, not just into the hands of the State as a sort of checks and balances against tyrants. The knowledge and application of one's own rights is a necessary part of a free system, because people are just that: people. A badge or a law degree doesn't exempt them from the inherent flaws, prejudices, and misconceptions that exist as a prerequisite to the human condition. So if a badge anoints a man having a bad day to search me because I fit some unambiguous "description" for the sole purpose of provoking a response from me, then it is my duty as a citizen to remind that officer that we live in a nation of laws, and unreasonable search and seizure is one of them, because no individual, law enforcement included, is more valuable or more important than the system of American ideals. Because without the system, exactly what makes us any different from China, Russia, or North Korea? What would be the justification of sending young men and women to war against tyranny if we allow it to exist on our own soil? It's an affront to the whole idea of what it means to be American. I am usually very compliant with law enforcement, but when it is impossible for me to do so, or if their request is unreasonable, it is never a good idea to appease people whose egos are greater than their capacity to understand the laws that they are paid to enforce.

I had this happen to me when I was 18. I had graduated the year before and was riding my bike to work. Cop pulled me over to check if I was supposed to be in school. Of course I made it easy and presented my ID, and let him do his investigation, but he then he started trying to pin a suspicious person who broke into a house earlier that morning. The situation was horrible. I got arrested and taken in for processing. A couple hours later they had me stand in front of one way mirror to have a neighbor of the house who got broken into identify me. Of course I wasn't the guy and I was released. The crap part of it all was I lost my job (no call, no show) and even explaining what happened my job was not understanding. All because I looked like I was supposed to be in school. The only silver lining was a friend hooked me up with a job soon after that ended up being the field of work I still do and enjoy to this day.
*Update* This occured back in 2004, not worth pursuing, stop recommending I do something about it. No point in beating a dead horse as they say lol. But let this be a testimonial of an experience that left a bad taste in my mouth pertaining to police for a good while. Know your rights and exercise them accordingly.

Im 26, but when I shave throughly, I looked like 16 or 17. However, I do know that its not just "a few bad apples" making trouble out there. Not only status offense laws like truancy and curfew violates the minor's rights and trapping law abiding, well behaved teenaged minors, like those coming home from a late date, into the the system that we all hate, through these truancy and curfew laws. But also people, like Guervera and me, who look like teenagers, can also be hassled by police.

I grew up in Long Beach CA and I have a story I could never forget. I walked to my cousins house because we had a soccer game that day. My uncle goes ahead and tells us he would bring the car around so we can head out. As we step out to the sidewalk and close the gate behind us, we thought we saw my uncle to the left and took about 5 steps. We realized he was the opposite way as we heard him pulling up. We do a 180 and start walking to my uncles car. In the next 10 seconds a police car drives onto part of the sidewalk and two "gang unit" police officers grab us and slam us onto their hood of the car. They demanded to know why we were "suspiciously" walking away from their vehicle. Before we can respond they started demanding to know what gangs we were from. That day it was around 80 degrees out and their hood was blazing hot. As they cuffed us, and searched our soccer bags my uncle came up, furiously and told them we were looking for him to head to a soccer game. The cops noticed our soccer gear and threw everything on the floor and told us leave. I remember by hands and chest being so hot we had to pour water on them. Me and my cousin NEVER saw the police unit parked, and we were NOT dressed in gang attire but our soccer uniforms. I lost a lot of respect for police officers that day!

Wouldn't believe that I just walked the wrong way, claimed his wife saw me running away from his car. Not quite. You set up laws that deny qualified immunity in such a way that you get your payout from a lawsuit from the city, and the officer is then obligated to pay it back over the rest of his life. The officer can then sue the city back to annul some or all of that debt, and potentially for other damages, if he can PROVE that there were factors (like training, a zero-tolerance policy, or instructions from a superior) that resulted in circumstances where a reasonable person would have seen that as part of their duties. This way, the city cannot shelter the officer, and the city is the defendant with a natural incentive to raise a proper case against the officer if he tries to challenge what he now owes for his crime.

    • @emilchandran543
      @emilchandran543 3 года назад +9

I’m not familiar with the laws in any part of America but at least in Australia that would be exactly what would happen.
I don’t mean picking out someone who looks young and detaining them. For one thing, students here almost universally wear uniforms which, although it would be easy enough to change, makes it highly unlikely anyone not in a uniform would be questioned about being a school student, unless they were obviously very young.
But police routinely transport minors against their will and without a legal guardian.
I mean, what do police in America wait for a child’s parents to arrive before arresting them? If a minor is missing as soon as they were found police would take to the station or to home whether they liked it or not. Children can’t just be let go because they don’t want to be taken away by police.
Not to mention situations where the legal guardians are either also detained or not present when they should be. Children alone in public or left in a home unable to care for themselves etc.

If a minor is happy to consent to being taken somewhere by the police or another person because they're helping the person that's one thing but how do you justify taking a kid and not notifying a guardian? A kid doesn't have full legal authority for a lot of things and we recognize that they may not be as mentally capable as an adult because they're still developing hence why you would notify a guardian of the actions so they can ensure the safety of the kid.
I'd be pretty pissed if a cop took away my kid and refused to notify me. It would be one thing for them taking away an adult and not notifying me, at least I know the adult is capable of taking care of themselves. A 6 year old is NOT capable of taking care of themselves.

make it a misdemeanor and prosecute them.
that's how they seem to want to "fix" every other "problem."

Ikr. What is with the creepy phrasing! So glad i am not a parent because i would tell my kid to never go anywhere with a stranger that is an adult alone and that includes cops!

I graduated at 17. I wonder if this guy would have detained me and taken me to the school and they'd be, "Why the heck are you here?" I say this as if the cop wasn't mostly worried about harassing them because it hurt his ego to feel monitored by young people.

Same I just turned 17 and a couple months when I graduated but I think I would have just when with him to the school for the satisfaction of seeing him look real stupid

Me, too. I was 16, so would have probably been taken to jail?

I got in my first Uni when I was 16. I would've been mighty embarrassing to be kidnapped by an overreaching asshole with a badge and a power trip to be delivered to a random school for identification...

So if you are super-advanced and graduate from high-school at 16, you'd better stay in your house all day because it's illegal to be out in public?

In the UK and Ireland we do not need to carry any form of identification in public. If you are driving, you're supposed to carry your driving license with you, but if you don't have it on you when stopped, you can be asked to present it to your nearest police station within something like a week to 10 days.
