Yeah, that makes me sick. I get a nervous and sick feeling whenever I just pass a cop when I have done absolutely nothing wrong. We probably feel that way because we are aware that an officer can and will violate our rights given any chance they get. We know that at any second they can make any accusation they wish to, and there is nothing we can do about it. Nervousness around those who could and would injure us just because they feel like it, is perfectly reasonable and should not be allowed to be used as a sign of guilt for anyone.

Ironicly cops can't use someone being nervous as a reason to prolong a detain and such anymore.
Cause of course you are nervous, police with guns are near you....
Courts recongise that being detained for a traffic stop is stressful and some people will have nervous ticks cause of it.
After all.. some people with autism or those with actual ticks they can't control would be always seen as supicious and will never be able to just drive away from a stop until a dog sniffing happens and they consent to a search or such....
But yea he was super calm... If an officer tries to use your hands shaking as an excuse to search or arrest you... you got a massive lawsuit for them.

And I’m a person of color but I’ve never been asked out of all the years of having encounters with officers to step out of my vehicle or some bitch that was eager to search but after that day I really saw from first hand how much a cop with actually lie to investigate what’s none of their business

Nicely said. For OUR SAFETY, the time to argue legality of police actions is in front of a judge & by a lawyer representing you. NOT to the cops acting unlawfully. No matter how ridiculous. Follow directions, stay quiet, & wait for your day in court. Otherwise the cops just may look for a reason to make sure you don't make it to that day in court.

Had it gone to trial you can bet the city would have claimed he may have signaled but the light didn't work so it's as if he didn't signal. He provided evidence backing that up numerous times when he freely told them that sometimes it malfunctions and he has to do some special maneuver to get it to work. The fabrication of "Not using a turn signal", is always the simplest way to get a driver to attempt to lie or flee. Most simple traffic violations are not pursued, if additional charges develop during the stop. We've all seen several videos of Officers claiming a turn signal was used, but not 150 feet prior to a turn or lane change. These are petty violations, but when the stop fails to yield additional charges, these petty violations are an Officers only means to evade an unlawful stop complaint.

I'm certain my hands were likely shaking the handful of times I've been pulled over in my life. It's a startling thing to happen to you...especially when you're not sure why they pulled you over in the first place. The last time I was pulled over was in 2020 at 2 a.m. and yea...it made me nervous. Turned out to be that my license plate light burnt out lol.

This is EXACTLY how policing used to be before people started recording them, except it would've been been a lot worse. I'm glad they decided to file a lawsuit, and people got to see that racial profiling exists - it's crazy to think that some people still don't think it's real.

Recording these interactions has done little to nothing to change anything. You can spend WEEKS binge watching videos like this, on this channel and others like it. And when you are done, you get to watch a new one every couple hours or so. It is not stopping. It is not getting better. You knock one evil bastard down, another half dozen pop up to take his place.

I would say profiling period! I don’t understand why everyone thinks that only black people get this treatment! They do it to white people Asian Mexican anyone they think they can bust for something! Usually poorer people who can’t afford to fight them! But seriously they don’t care who it is ! Please stop thinking that way they are ass holes to everyone they choose! They know what they can get away with and they know we can’t afford the hole court proses it is them against us and they have everything in there corner and don’t have to worry or pay the bills !

"You're shaking like a leaf" Yeah no shit with cop thugs surrounding the vehicle like this guy did something wrong. Police need to recognize people are afraid of them for good reason. Even those who did absolutely nothing.

I remember seeing a video of a man, already handcuffed, where they sent a K9 after him. He was screaming and struggling BECAUSE HE WAS BEING MAULED BY A DOG, and they had the nerve to demand him to 'stop resisting' and 'keep still.' Physically he couldn't, because he was being ripped up by a dog. Fear is a natural biological response when in a situation like this, and using 'you're shaking like a leaf' as a reason for suspicion when you're surrounded by cops acting aggressive and questioning you about weapons and drugs is completely illogical.

Why did they remove him from the car for a turn signal, especially when video shows the blinker was going? This is so disturbing! The passengers do not have to identify themselves and certainly not provide a social security number! I hope these poor citizens have in the meantime educated themselves!
And what about the ruling to not extend a traffic stop beyond the scope of the original infraction? A blinker “violation” turned into 30 mins of being frisked and searched!
