When a cop goes to prison for breaking the law especially when he's trying to make a citizen guilty of something, when there is no crime, that cop should go to jail wearing his uniform for the duration of his sentence. In general population You were supposed to protect the populace and you are planting evidence to make them guilty of something they haven't done. That cop should get beaten and raped every day that he's in prison

This video is with a cop planting drugs, But I have falsely been ticketed by cops on two occasions. One time I was pulled over (with like 5 other people there getting tickets) and I was issued a seatbelt violation... while wearing a seatbelt. When I confronted the cop, he told me I was getting a ticket and if I angered him he would make it worse for me. Another instance I was traveling across TN to Alabama and was issued a ticket for traveling 25 MPH over the speed limit ... while I was on cruise control in the right lane behind a greyhound bus. This time I decided I would get a lawyer and fight it... Lawyer told me that where I got the ticket, the cops give hundreds of tickets to "out of towners" traveling that same highway. My lawyer was able to save my license and get the charge changed but not dropped, and I was told it would be too expensive to fight the charge and it would be in my best interest to accept the ticket. It may not be true, but so far in my experience 90% of cops seem to be corrupt. I guess I should count myself lucky that they didn't plant drugs like this cop does.

A candidate is chosen more by his willingness to follow and take orders, rather than the content of their character and their psychology. Cops are actually useless humans outside of their profession. They have no real skills, or they would have chosen a different career. They like the position of ‘power’. I know one officer whom I grew up with, and while he was a great dude growing up, he would and I’m sure does blindly follow any orders given.

Our whole system is based on case law, which is entire dependent on the arbitrary whims of judges. It can change, morph and twist over the years so that only legal professionals actually know the law. It's a disgusting, sick and perverse system overall.

i believe a lot of people were released, or at the very least, all pending cases were dropped. I cant check right now, i might be thinking of a different case, but im like 90% sure that a lot of people who were arrested for drugs alone, were released.

I’m not sure how random she was to him. I think it’s likely he profiles his victims to further bury his actions. He got through 300 cases before an investigation. Not even were all cases he was strongly suspected of were powerful enough to shake out & exonerate all his victims. He was crafty for sure. Thank gawd we at least have body cams & the right to access them for public viewing, though that’s not a guaranteed process regardless of the law.

The good cops rat put the not so good. The cop should have known the risk was too high to do something so criminal for a promotion. That tells me it wasn't just him, or he was shady but no one wanted to speak up against him. Because at the end of the day you have to know the guy behind you has your back, even if he stretches the rules some of the time. The fact a hundred cases were overturned means people at least hear rumors of what was going on, or watched him do something that should have set up warning signs. Yeah blame the entire department, unless each one can demonstrate without a reasonable doubt why they shouldn't be blamed.

I actually think the most chilling part was when his follow officer said "On no you're going to jail!" Just flagrant and maligned. Considering he was doing this knowing his body cam was rolling makes me think the entire department was corrupt.

This is why you don't talk to the police, or give them permission to search anything. Even if you're 100% innocent the police are not you're friends, and will go out of there way to harm you.

I was stopped in SD for speeding. I had been driving for about 13 hours at this point and was getting tired so i had my window open for the cold air to keep me awake when i passed a state patrol in the median. He came up to the door and said he stopped me for speeding but it was suspicious i had my window open in the winter. I was cold with my window down, no heat since i shut my car off on traffic stops, and no residual heat i was shivering. the cop thought this was unusual and asked me why i was shaking i said im cold and he said come back with me and sit in my car while i run your ID which was unusual. So he has me sit in the front seat and runs my ID asks me usual questions where you from where you going why you speeding then he says well im part of some special team trained to spot drug related blah blah and your behavior leads me to believe you have something in your vehicle do you? i say no. then he says okay well im gonna search your car either way if you give me permission this will save us time. i said that would just waste both our time so no and he said well i guess we're bringing the dog out huh. he put me in the back of the car now and he went outside called someone on his cellphone while walking around my car i couldnt hear anything and came back into the cop car. maybe 40 minutes later someone shows up street clothes with a german shepard or similar dog driving an s10 blazer no police markings.. they walk up to my car and the guy taps on the trunk and the dog puts its paws on the trunk. the cop comes back and says okay we are going to search your vehicle we got a hit from our canine and he starts going to town. he pulled all my clothes out of suit cases, took the subwoofers out of my enclosure, took parts of the dash off removed my back seat, he was in the engine bay doing shit and after over an hour plus of him going through my stuff comes back and asks me why i have cash with me, about $900. I said when ive been stranded before because my credit card denied since it was an out of state purchase so i brought cash. He pulls something out of his pocket that looked like a grape stem and he goes whats this? I had no idea and said idk. He then says well i found it under your passenger seat and this is grounds to put you in jail for 10 years. i responded what is it? he says this is a marijuanna stem and in South Dakota thats punishable by up to 10 years now how did it get in your car? Having no idea i just kept saying it looks like a grape stem i dont know i dont even eat grapes. i had just bought the car earlier that year and i go crazy cleaning my cars when i buy them I ABSOLUTELY know that wasnt in my car. Hes asking me question after question and finally says you're giving me good eye contact i think i can believe you so im going to let you off with a warning for the speeding. I want you to pull over at the next rest stop and get some sleep i'm going to pull in there in a few hours and you better still be there. So he followed me to this rest stop and i pulled in and he kept going. i gave it 10 minutes and i was fucking out there. I was annoyed that this whole thing took several hours and i would have made it to the place i intended to stop to sleep hours ago, but then was furious when i realized that none of it was REAL. This cop had to have called a buddy and just said hey come out and have your dog tap on this car so i can search it. So if it works he gets to take me to jail if it doesnt he doesnt give me a ticket and theres no evidence of the interaction. so how many times has he done that to kill time in the middle of the night just sees an out of state plate and tries this. If 1 in a hundred gets him an arrest he probably justifies this corrupt practice. *** update (looked through photos to establish date and time) stop was around 3-5am 11-12-2008 west side of south dakota between Murdo and Rapid City***

Actually they did better than that. They vacated all of his drug arrests/convictions, dropped sentences, etc. Over a hundred. Some were probably legit drug arrests, but with him as the arresting officer those cases become instantly worthless in court. His sentencing was too light though. I'd wager he caused way more than 12 years of wrongful imprisonment to others cumulatively.
This officer’s actions has had an enormous ripple effect throughout society. All of these innocent citizens have been deprived of their ability to advance in their lives and have been kept in poverty. They’ve lost years of their lives to this injustice and have lost out on thousands of dollars in lost wages. Remember that drug convictions bar you from almost all forms of gainful employment. Once this officer had these people convicted, their futures were destroyed. That’s above any lawyer and legal fees, time in jail, and other damages just in fighting the corrupt allegations. It should be the police union pension fund that pays the lawsuit on this one, not the taxpayers. Send the right message to police; if you act corrupt you and your brothers in blue pay. That give incentive to officers to police other officers.

I drove a crappy car at the time in order to save money for our second child's birth, one that is akin to the girls in this video but it was a old honda accord. Well one night, I had just came back from my job at the garage and had grease all over me and even LOOKED like I had been working on vehicles. I was picking my GF up and she worked at a new restaurant as a waitress. They stopped me on the highway, took our phones, and they "detained" us in the back of a vehicle for over an hour while they came up with a game plan, while they were doing so, they turned the heater on low and rolled up the windows in mid-summer. They had the GD balls to say it was probable cause to detain because the area I came from was known for prostitution and my GF had "tons of makeup on" which was bullshit and she was even wearing her work shirt! The whole case ended up getting thrown out because I kept demanding the FULL UNEDITED vehicle and police cams, and after our lawyer submitted for the camera footage for evidence a 4th time, they contacted him and told him they were dropping the criminal charges, when he asked for the footage, just to check it and verify our story and to see about a countersue the police & city with a civil case, for some strange reason even the edited footage had suddenly vanished, imagine that. They came up with several excuses that made ZERO sense from a tech perspective. No one got in trouble, no one lost their job, no one got sued and my entire family ended up all but destroyed over this whole situation eventually. That was several years ago but I am still bitter about it because it caused so many issues between me and that GF that we ended up splitting up. We lost our children for seven months, they had to live with my dad who was their only able bodied grandparent. I was fired from my job even after passing a drug screen, she was treated differently at work as well. The whole situation is a sad mess and makes me very warry of police and law enforcement in general. I have so many cameras in my current vehicle it would be impossible for them to pull it on me again but I would damn sure love for them to try!

It looks like in his case he wanted to be head of some drug enforcement like his father and the only way to get recognized or promoted would be to show how diligent he was about finding drugs and busting drug addicts. Makes me wonder about the father seeing how his son was aspiring to be like him. I don't know I could be wrong about the father.

Question: since he's been found guilty,technically, shouldn't he be charged with possession with intent to distribute? All evidence, (assuming that he acquired the drugs from a righteous bust and he didnt buy it),should be turned in and stored as evidence. So what's he doing with it and how did he acquire it?!
I think he’d only be able to be charged with possession since there’s no evidence to suggest he was selling. I don’t think planting would be considered distribution. The charge for a false arrest should be much more extreme. There’s clearly an incentive to plant drugs so there needs to be a stronger deterrent.

@@GF93725 it’s different for each drug in each state. I personally couldn’t find the exact Florida law that would apply here, but typically there is an amount where it’s considered intent to distribute. This looks more like a personal use amount but I could be wrong.
Even if they drop it (I'm sure they already did) it will still show up when people look you up. You never win when it comes to the law even if you win in court.

The drug charges against everyone he "found with drugs" is questionable. Everyone he arrested for drugs should have their charges dropped, be released, and compensated. How they only dropped charges on 100 out of 300+ people is beyond me. Everything he touched his whole career is tainted.

If not then it was intentionally parked there and with a passenger onboard, especially a shackled one, I call that attempted murder, and risk causing a derailing of the train possible hurting passengers and crew on the train and then the psychological effect of the train driver of having killed someone. Here in Sweden the gates that close the road at train crossings are deliberately made of flimsy wood so a trapped vehicle can easily drive through them. I suspect that this is common in many countries.

He very much wanted to be an officer and had to live with the fact that they rejected his application for being TOO INTELLIGENT. I am fine with rejecting an application if someone scores TOO LOW on an intelligence test but I think it should be illegal to reject someone for scoring TOO HIGH.

It's the level of comfort that they do it with bodycams. People are fine with looking at politicians and politics as an institution that facilitates corruption, protects it, and keeps them comfortable with doing it. But nobody wants to look at the history of police and police departments as an institution that facilitates, protects, and keeps them comfortable with doing things like planting evidence with their own bodycams providing proof of corruption.

It's absolutely terrifying that, in the (so called) 'Land Of The Free,' such advice is so vitally necessary. That the general public need to be so careful and wary when dealing with officers that are _supposed_ to be public servants, but instead seem to act like an occupying army, patrolling in hostile territory. I imagine that the fabled and mysterious 'good cops' must be as frustrated and saddened by the way things are as the rest of us - to work in a dangerous, unpopular job where you're genuinely trying to do good, help keep others safe and make the world a better place, but to encounter nothing but suspicion, hostility and even outright hatred in every face they see. I've seen a ton of videos of K9 searches (i'm not an expert) where sometimes the dog sits, sometimes the dog paws/digs at an area, sometimes the dog just shows 'interest', sometimes they bark, sometimes i rewatch a clip a dozen times and don't notice anything (i'm still not an expert, i could have missed it) but yeah, it's not like the K9 guy will tell you "the dog will do THIS to indicate an alert.

Think of it this way, Miss Odom had a felony record and was trying to get back on her feet, but consider the fact that he pulled over somebody who had a clean criminal record and now had their future completely ruined that part gets me upset the most. That person who once had a bright future will now be a career criminal since since having a convicted drug record will deny you future employment opportunities, certifications etc.
one time police asked to search my vehicle and I said "I don't consent to searches" which I learned from a youtuber. They were super mad and proceded to question me as I stood outside the vehicle in a undershirt and shorts on a 58 degree morning for a half hour to 45 minutes I was FREEZING and this was their "punishment" for refusing the search. I asked to put a coat on (which I had in my car) and they refused to let me do so. They wanted me to freeze. I mainly did not want them tearing my car apart and the hassle of putting it all away and concern they would damage stuff or throw my stuff onto street and make me pick it all up as they drove away. I a TINY BIT was concerned they would plant something which I've seen on shows/movies before. This video CONFIRMS MY CONCERNS about police planting evidence! Glad I refused the search! NEVER allowing a cop to search my stuff. PLANTING EVIDENCE CAN RUIN YOUR LIFE! (at least temporarily?)

The funding also has to be used for vehicles and the larger department have air patrol and even boat patrol. There is a lot more that the funding goes towards than just body cams

Just FYI for anyone that sees this, when a cop is acting like him (nice and cracking jokes) he's not your friend. Always keep the conversation to a minimum and never give them consent to search without a warrant. Cops are taught what they call Verbal Judo in the academy. No question is asked without a reason no matter how minute you may think it is. Give them what you're obligated to I.E. drivers license, insurance, and registration and nothing more. Lastly of they pull you over in a sketchy place I.E. highway, street with no lights, or bad neighborhood and you don't feel safe slow down turn your hazards on and drive slowly to a well lit area or off the highway. If you think it's someone impersonating a cop before you stop you can call dispatch and ask them if the car trying to stop you is actually a cop. I'm sure most people know all this shit but some don't. Hope it's useful for people that didn't know.

I did this and he yelled at me for not stopping in the road. I didn't want to block traffic or risk either of us getting hit and a gas station was literally right up ahead on the right.... He was an asshole the whole time, no manners... every cop I've met is rude. No wonder nobody likes them and honestly I don't think they care. They feel above the law...

Body camera videos dissappear all the time. It's often impossible to get a records request for them, and if you do get them, it's highly likely they will be conveniently "edited"
I think it is who he targeted. This lady was old, you can tell by the truck and how messed up it was she was very poor. Someone who can't afford an attorney, especially in the golden years where you're probably living off of social security. Do you see the problem with your statement yet? Judges very rarely nullify a jury's decision to free even someone who is actually innocent. They certainly are not going to nullify a jury verdict for a person who is actually guilty. You appear to believe a judge can decide to free someone who has been found guilty by a jury. Shoot ... in the Commonwealth of VA getting exonerated after police and prosecutorial misconduct is almost unheard of. Even Brady violations are swept under the rug. DNA evidence that was not available at the time of trial showing CLEARLY that someone did NOT commit a crime is generally NOT GOOD ENOUGH for exoneration, either. In VA once you are convicted - even on falsified evidence or with exculpatory evidence deliberately WITHHELD - you are doomed to serve the sentence. So go back and think again. It would appear your knowledge of criminal law in the US is lacking.
This is why he was targetting poor people in junky looking cars. First he could make up faults with the car (such as flashing brake lights), second he knew the poorer someone is the more likely they will just accept whatever happens to them. This guy is a professional. Think about how careful he has to be actually have a stash of drugs around to even do this over and over. The scariest part of all is that he was only caught because in this one particular instance because he didn't push the baggy far enough up his glove.
It's even worse when you consider the fact that the system is overburdened even with plea bargaining, which results in less than 5% of all criminal cases going to trial. If this practice were made illegal, the system would collapse very very quickly.

While indeed hard to imagine being in jail for something that you didn't do, I guarantee that it happens all of the time. It doesn't take much evidence against you for that to happen. All that it takes is someone's mistaken identify and cop willing to lie under oath should he/she believe that person. There are cases where an innocent person was put in jail even though he had twelve witnesses that said he was elsewhere at the time. It is as disgusting as it is accurate to say that our jails are full of innocent people and people that were over charged and couldn't mount an effective defense due to lack of funds. If O.J. Simpson were poor he would still be in prison for killing two people. Sad, but true.
I once had a cop try to search my car, when I objected he said, I'm gonna search your car and you can't do a thing. I told him, the only way you're gonna search my car is if you're Buck Azz Naked and I do a total Body Cavity search to assure you're not planting anything. He got really Angry and threatened me (I had my camera on but he didn't know it). I then called my friend, the Police Chief and things didn't go well for the cop...he got terminated!

Do not consent to any searches (you've seen why) do not answer any questions, do not consent to give your ID (unless driving) explain to the Law Enforcement Officer that you do not want a consensual conversation and you wish to leave then remain silent. This puts the burden of responsibility onto the Law Enforcement Officer to investigate, gather evidence and make a decision on the way forward. You can't talk your way out of an arrest but you can easily talk your way into an arrest!

This video is with a cop planting drugs, But I have falsely been ticketed by cops on two occasions. One time I was pulled over (with like 5 other people there getting tickets) and I was issued a seatbelt violation... while wearing a seatbelt. When I confronted the cop, he told me I was getting a ticket and if I angered him he would make it worse for me.
Another instance I was traveling across TN to Alabama and was issued a ticket for traveling 25 MPH over the speed limit ... while I was on cruise control in the right lane behind a greyhound bus. This time I decided I would get a lawyer and fight it... Lawyer told me that where I got the ticket, the cops give hundreds of tickets to "out of towners" traveling that same highway. My lawyer was able to save my license and get the charge changed but not dropped, and I was told it would be too expensive to fight the charge and it would be in my best interest to accept the ticket.
It may not be true, but so far in my experience 90% of cops seem to be corrupt. I guess I should count myself lucky that they didn't plant drugs like this cop does.

I’m not sure how random she was to him. I think it’s likely he profiles his victims to further bury his actions. He got through 300 cases before an investigation. Not even were all cases he was strongly suspected of were powerful enough to shake out & exonerate all his victims. He was crafty for sure. Thank gawd we at least have body cams & the right to access them for public viewing, though that’s not a guaranteed process regardless of the law.

In good precincts this doesn't happen. The good cops rat put the not so good. The cop should have known the risk was too high to do something so criminal for a promotion. Because at the end of the day you have to know the guy behind you has your back, even if he stretches the rules some of the time.
The fact a hundred cases were overturned means people at least hear rumors of what was going on, or watched him do something that should have set up warning signs.

I was stopped in SD for speeding. I had been driving for about 13 hours at this point and was getting tired so i had my window open for the cold air to keep me awake when i passed a state patrol in the median. He came up to the door and said he stopped me for speeding but it was suspicious i had my window open in the winter. I was cold with my window down, no heat since i shut my car off on traffic stops, and no residual heat i was shivering. the cop thought this was unusual and asked me why i was shaking i said im cold and he said come back with me and sit in my car while i run your ID which was unusual. So he has me sit in the front seat and runs my ID asks me usual questions where you from where you going why you speeding then he says well im part of some special team trained to spot drug related blah blah and your behavior leads me to believe you have something in your vehicle do you? i say no. then he says okay well im gonna search your car either way if you give me permission this will save us time. i said that would just waste both our time so no and he said well i guess we're bringing the dog out huh. he put me in the back of the car now and he went outside called someone on his cellphone while walking around my car i couldnt hear anything and came back into the cop car. maybe 40 minutes later someone shows up street clothes with a german shepard or similar dog driving an s10 blazer no police markings.. they walk up to my car and the guy taps on the trunk and the dog puts its paws on the trunk. the cop comes back and says okay we are going to search your vehicle we got a hit from our canine and he starts going to town. he pulled all my clothes out of suit cases, took the subwoofers out of my enclosure, took parts of the dash off removed my back seat, he was in the engine bay doing shit and after over an hour plus of him going through my stuff comes back and asks me why i have cash with me, about $900. I said when ive been stranded before because my credit card denied since it was an out of state purchase so i brought cash. He pulls something out of his pocket that looked like a grape stem and he goes whats this? I had no idea and said idk. He then says well i found it under your passenger seat and this is grounds to put you in jail for 10 years. i responded what is it? he says this is a marijuanna stem and in South Dakota thats punishable by up to 10 years now how did it get in your car? Having no idea i just kept saying it looks like a grape stem i dont know i dont even eat grapes. i had just bought the car earlier that year and i go crazy cleaning my cars when i buy them I ABSOLUTELY know that wasnt in my car. Hes asking me question after question and finally says you're giving me good eye contact i think i can believe you so im going to let you off with a warning for the speeding. I want you to pull over at the next rest stop and get some sleep i'm going to pull in there in a few hours and you better still be there. So he followed me to this rest stop and i pulled in and he kept going. i gave it 10 minutes and i was fucking out there. I was annoyed that this whole thing took several hours and i would have made it to the place i intended to stop to sleep hours ago, but then was furious when i realized that none of it was REAL. This cop had to have called a buddy and just said hey come out and have your dog tap on this car so i can search it. So if it works he gets to take me to jail if it doesnt he doesnt give me a ticket and theres no evidence of the interaction. so how many times has he done that to kill time in the middle of the night just sees an out of state plate and tries this. If 1 in a hundred gets him an arrest he probably justifies this corrupt practice. *** update (looked through photos to establish date and time) stop was around 3-5am 11-12-2008 west side of south dakota between Murdo and Rapid City***

Any arrest this cop has made in his career should be investigated. A letter should be mailed to every one of his victims.
Actually they did better than that. They vacated all of his drug arrests/convictions, dropped sentences, etc. Over a hundred.
Some were probably legit drug arrests, but with him as the arresting officer those cases become instantly worthless in court.
His sentencing was too light though. I'd wager he caused way more than 12 years of wrongful imprisonment to others cumulatively.

They’ve lost years of their lives to this injustice and have lost out on thousands of dollars in lost wages. Remember that drug convictions bar you from almost all forms of gainful employment. Once this officer had these people convicted, their futures were destroyed. That’s above any lawyer and legal fees, time in jail, and other damages just in fighting the corrupt allegations. It should be the police union pension fund that pays the lawsuit on this one, not the taxpayers. Send the right message to police; if you act corrupt you and your brothers in blue pay. That give incentive to officers to police other officers.

I drove a crappy car at the time in order to save money for our second child's birth, one that is akin to the girls in this video but it was a old honda accord. Well one night, I had just came back from my job at the garage and had grease all over me and even LOOKED like I had been working on vehicles. I was picking my GF up and she worked at a new restaurant as a waitress. They stopped me on the highway, took our phones, and they "detained" us in the back of a vehicle for over an hour while they came up with a game plan, while they were doing so, they turned the heater on low and rolled up the windows in mid-summer. They had the GD balls to say it was probable cause to detain because the area I came from was known for prostitution and my GF had "tons of makeup on" which was bullshit and she was even wearing her work shirt! The whole case ended up getting thrown out because I kept demanding the FULL UNEDITED vehicle and police cams, and after our lawyer submitted for the camera footage for evidence a 4th time, they contacted him and told him they were dropping the criminal charges, when he asked for the footage, just to check it and verify our story and to see about a countersue the police & city with a civil case, for some strange reason even the edited footage had suddenly vanished, imagine that. They came up with several excuses that made ZERO sense from a tech perspective. No one got in trouble, no one lost their job, no one got sued and my entire family ended up all but destroyed over this whole situation eventually. That was several years ago but I am still bitter about it because it caused so many issues between me and that GF that we ended up splitting up. We lost our children for seven months, they had to live with my dad who was their only able bodied grandparent. I was fired from my job even after passing a drug screen, she was treated differently at work as well. The whole situation is a sad mess and makes me very warry of police and law enforcement in general. I have so many cameras in my current vehicle it would be impossible for them to pull it on me again but I would damn sure love for them to try!

It looks like in his case he wanted to be head of some drug enforcement like his father and the only way to get recognized or promoted would be to show how diligent he was about finding drugs and busting drug addicts. I think he’d only be able to be charged with possession since there’s no evidence to suggest he was selling. I don’t think planting would be considered distribution. The charge for a false arrest should be much more extreme. There’s clearly an incentive to plant drugs so there needs to be a stronger deterrent.

@@GF93725 it’s different for each drug in each state. I personally couldn’t find the exact Florida law that would apply here, but typically there is an amount where it’s considered intent to distribute. This looks more like a personal use amount but I could be wrong.

Even if they drop it (I'm sure they already did) it will still show up when people look you up. You never win when it comes to the law even if you win in court.

The drug charges against everyone he "found with drugs" is questionable. Everyone he arrested for drugs should have their charges dropped, be released, and compensated. How they only dropped charges on 100 out of 300+ people is beyond me. Everything he touched his whole career is tainted.

If not then it was intentionally parked there and with a passenger onboard, especially a shackled one, I call that attempted murder, and risk causing a derailing of the train possible hurting passengers and crew on the train and then the psychological effect of the train driver of having killed someone.
Here in Sweden the gates that close the road at train crossings are deliberately made of flimsy wood so a trapped vehicle can easily drive through them. I suspect that this is common in many countries.

He very much wanted to be an officer and had to live with the fact that they rejected his application for being TOO INTELLIGENT.
I am fine with rejecting an application if someone scores TOO LOW on an intelligence test but I think it should be illegal to reject someone for scoring TOO HIGH.

I've seen a ton of videos of K9 searches (i'm not an expert) where sometimes the dog sits, sometimes the dog paws/digs at an area, sometimes the dog just shows 'interest', sometimes they bark, sometimes i rewatch a clip a dozen times and don't notice anything (i'm still not an expert, i could have missed it) but yeah, it's not like the K9 guy will tell you "the dog will do THIS to indicate an alert.

Think of it this way, Miss Odom had a felony record and was trying to get back on her feet, but consider the fact that he pulled over somebody who had a clean criminal record and now had their future completely ruined that part gets me upset the most. That person who once had a bright future will now be a career criminal since since having a convicted drug record will deny you future employment opportunities, certifications etc.
This was hard to watch, but my heart dropped to learn he was potentially involved in 100 cases of planted evidence.
The first thing he told her was that he did this about 15 times a shift.

one time police asked to search my vehicle and I said "I don't consent to searches" which I learned from a youtuber. They were super mad and proceded to question me as I stood outside the vehicle in a undershirt and shorts on a 58 degree morning for a half hour to 45 minutes I was FREEZING and this was their "punishment" for refusing the search. I asked to put a coat on (which I had in my car) and they refused to let me do so. They wanted me to freeze. I mainly did not want them tearing my car apart and the hassle of putting it all away and concern they would damage stuff or throw my stuff onto street and make me pick it all up as they drove away. I a TINY BIT was concerned they would plant something which I've seen on shows/movies before. This video CONFIRMS MY CONCERNS about police planting evidence! Glad I refused the search! NEVER allowing a cop to search my stuff. PLANTING EVIDENCE CAN RUIN YOUR LIFE! (at least temporarily?)

The funding also has to be used for vehicles and the larger department have air patrol and even boat patrol. There is a lot more that the funding goes towards than just body cams

They always do. DA, sheriff's, and judges all have thier cases relooked after something like this

Majority of people take a plea they have no attorney and are impatient to return back to court on a no guilty plea this is kind of like being blackmailed by the district attorney prosecuting attorney you know this is why you keep your windows rolled up doors locked and your finger on the trigger

That pig is probably done it hundreds of times and he’s probably ruined hundreds of lives. The only way true justice will be done is if the peasants show up at his house after he gets out of prison and terrorize him or worse.
Just FYI for anyone that sees this, when a cop is acting like him (nice and cracking jokes) he's not your friend. Always keep the conversation to a minimum and never give them consent to search without a warrant. Cops are taught what they call Verbal Judo in the academy. No question is asked without a reason no matter how minute you may think it is. Give them what you're obligated to I.E. drivers license, insurance, and registration and nothing more. Lastly of they pull you over in a sketchy place I.E. highway, street with no lights, or bad neighborhood and you don't feel safe slow down turn your hazards on and drive slowly to a well lit area or off the highway. If you think it's someone impersonating a cop before you stop you can call dispatch and ask them if the car trying to stop you is actually a cop. I'm sure most people know all this shit but some don't. Hope it's useful for people that didn't know.

Cops are never your friend. Everyone has an agenda and you can’t know anyones true intentions. It’s best to be mindful of the laws and be professional when dealing with the law enforcers. You will lose any and all verbal or physical altercations. Save it for the courts.
I did this and he yelled at me for not stopping in the road. I didn't want to block traffic or risk either of us getting hit and a gas station was literally right up ahead on the right.... He was an asshole the whole time, no manners... every cop I've met is rude. No wonder nobody likes them and honestly I don't think they care. They feel above the law...

Body camera videos dissappear all the time. It's often impossible to get a records request for them, and if you do get them, it's highly likely they will be conveniently "edited"
I think it is who he targeted. This lady was old, you can tell by the truck and how messed up it was she was very poor. Someone who can't afford an attorney, especially in the golden years where you're probably living off of social security. I just think there was a pattern in who he picked, powerless, poor people he knew the prosecutor could bully into a quick plea deal.

Agreed! That there shows how he views the average citizen and what he thinks of them, because no normal or sane person could sleep at night or pretend to laugh and joke with someone when they're planning all along to fabricate trouble and get them arrested. He didn't see his victims as people, they were the means to an end and god only knows how much worse it could've been if he got what he was looking for (allegedly a spot on some drug task force that his dad ran back in the day). At a minimum, he's a complete psychopath and needs to be permanently placed into a mental institution.

Just because a person has a badge doesn't mean they are any better than you. It's a piece of metal with some paper backing it, that's it. One of my exes was a cop and she was one of the most narcissistic people you'd ever meet. She could get drunk and go crazy but if I drank a beer at a bbq with friends I was an alcoholic of course.

We need more of this JUSTICE! I had a cop use do me the same way with seeds. I did not even smoke but I was 17 dumb and poor so I plead guilty to go home. He knew that and it altered the trajectory of my life in negative ways forever.
New rule: If you're in law enforcement every crime you commit is automatically penalized via twice as harsh as a civilian. No more of these 'they were assigned to a desk job' bs.

Do you see the problem with your statement yet? Judges very rarely nullify a jury's decision to free even someone who is actually innocent. They certainly are not going to nullify a jury verdict for a person who is actually guilty. You appear to believe a judge can decide to free someone who has been found guilty by a jury. Shoot ... in the Commonwealth of VA getting exonerated after police and prosecutorial misconduct is almost unheard of. Even Brady violations are swept under the rug. DNA evidence that was not available at the time of trial showing CLEARLY that someone did NOT commit a crime is generally NOT GOOD ENOUGH for exoneration, either. In VA once you are convicted - even on falsified evidence or with exculpatory evidence deliberately WITHHELD - you are doomed to serve the sentence.
So go back and think again. It would appear your knowledge of criminal law in the US is lacking.

No contest is not quite the same as a plea of guilty. Wrong either way though.
This is why he was targetting poor people in junky looking cars. First he could make up faults with the car (such as flashing brake lights), second he knew the poorer someone is the more likely they will just accept whatever happens to them. This guy is a professional. Think about how careful he has to be actually have a stash of drugs around to even do this over and over. The scariest part of all is that he was only caught because in this one particular instance because he didn't push the baggy far enough up his glove.
It's even worse when you consider the fact that the system is overburdened even with plea bargaining, which results in less than 5% of all criminal cases going to trial. If this practice were made illegal, the system would collapse very very quickly.
He needs LIFE in prison. An example needs to be set for false imprisonment of innocent citizens. I couldn’t imagine being jailed for something I didn’t do.

While indeed hard to imagine being in jail for something that you didn't do, I guarantee that it happens all of the time. It doesn't take much evidence against you for that to happen. All that it takes is someone's mistaken identify and cop willing to lie under oath should he/she believe that person. There are cases where an innocent person was put in jail even though he had twelve witnesses that said he was elsewhere at the time. It is as disgusting as it is accurate to say that our jails are full of innocent people and people that were over charged and couldn't mount an effective defense due to lack of funds. If O.J. Simpson were poor he would still be in prison for killing two people. Sad, but true.

I once had a cop try to search my car, when I objected he said, I'm gonna search your car and you can't do a thing. I told him, the only way you're gonna search my car is if you're Buck Azz Naked and I do a total Body Cavity search to assure you're not planting anything. He got really Angry and threatened me (I had my camera on but he didn't know it). I then called my friend, the Police Chief and things didn't go well for the cop...he got terminated!

It's absurd to think there are people willfully staying ignorant of this systemic problem in the US. That's why this issue and many others in America, still exists. All thanks to police being politicized and given immunity & impunity.
When we are teaching ourselves and our children, basic Law and our Constitutional Rights to protect ourselves and our children from the very people who've been employed and sworn a Solemn Oath to uphold the Law and protect our Constitutional Rights....... something is very wrong! Video Everything and Say Nothing! Do not consent to any searches (you've seen why) do not answer any questions, do not consent to give your ID (unless driving) explain to the Law Enforcement Officer that you do not want a consensual conversation and you wish to leave then remain silent. This puts the burden of responsibility onto the Law Enforcement Officer to investigate, gather evidence and make a decision on the way forward. You can't talk your way out of an arrest but you can easily talk your way into an arrest!

I don't hold that against the other cop, too much. Given how chatty everyone was, we almost certainly missed a lot of banter between Theresa and the female cop. While it's catty and unprofessional, from her perspective, Theresa is an idiot criminal. The kind who consents to a search while they have meth in their vehicle.
I'd give that cop a C for being unprofessional, but it's hardly even worth mentioning in a video with a cop that is actively framing people.
