I hope Elagoo come up with 4K DLP Saturn Ultra with a bulid volume 192*108*180 and pixel size of 50 micron. What do you think, would you be interested? My only concern is the life of the LCD screen, theoritically it is 2000 hours but it starts degrading after about 1000 hours usage. Considering DLP with over 10 times the life of an mono LCD, I think it would be a more feasible solution. Regarding the screen protector, how about instaling double nFEP sheets to the vat tank, so that even if one leaks the other still protects further leakage on to the machine.
when printing don't drop anything on lcd screen its fragile had to get another one shipped from china replacing it was time consuming i put a wham bam flex plate on mine had to flash firmware Z offset
I am going to be replacing my LCD soon due to a, shall we say " incident". I assume the "wham bam flex plate" you refer to is a protector of some kind for the lcd itself, which causes a slight variance in the z-offset of the screen, therefore the PFA on the reservoir is pushed up and causes the need for the flash of the firmware at a higher z-offset? If this all is correct, please provide the details you used to correct the adjustment, as I feel they are very worthwhile and would love to ensure a more durable surface on my setup!
@@therealirishmik its makes taking print off so much easier yeah had to flash z offset the manual calibrate in new firmware update make a precision leveling
I was choosing between this and Phrozen Sonic Mighty 8K and my husband convinced me to buy the Saturn 4 Ultra, I hope I don't regret buying into "gimmicks" or features. I like the features, but Phrozen has been super solid for me. i'll find out this week.
I've been using Saturn 4 Ultra for a couple of weeks and it is great. Very easy to use, prints fast and prints look amazing with incredible detail quality.
What part was 'shocking'?
First 1 where do u put the screen protector
Glad they added handles to the new 16k version
The Saturn 4 Ultra is my next printer that I plan on getting
