I have a Saturn 8K and also work for a printing company. I make a lot of my models out of carbon fiber powder bed in SLS. Nice thing about those is there is zero supports. Nice seeing these models being made by others. Love their models.

I just had to put a fan into my room/and open my window while printing (I use an Ender 3 printer/Creality) even though I use PLA filament it does give me a headache at times.. so I use extra ventilation!

Could I use acrylic gouache?

Those tiny activated carbon filters will become exhausted practically right away. Use a huge carbon filter. Also, 3M says their VOC cartridges are pretty much one use ONLY! This is due to the nature of VOCs and how they migrate though the filter even after use. False sense of security can be even worse than thinking you are safe. Have fun printing!

I've slowing been getting into 3D printing and am only now just learning about supports in general (thanks for this very informative video). I'm trying to print a small model where the creator says that a tree support with 30 degree angle should be used. The problem I'm having is that I can't get the underlying tree support to stick to the bed. This is a problem I've been contending with in general and one trick I've used is to rub a glue stick on the bed before printing. However, this isn't helping with the tree support, which starts with such a light layer of PLA. Any suggestions?

I have a hard time believing any of this would reduce VOCs in the air. It's not about the smell. Any data to back up that this works? I am working on my setup now and I am leaning towards venting to my attic from the printers themselves. I think getting the stuff out of the space all together is a better option unless I see something with particulate counts unfiltered vs filtered.

I was choosing between this and Phrozen Sonic Mighty 8K and my husband convinced me to buy the Saturn 4 Ultra, I hope I don't regret buying into "gimmicks" or features. I like the features, but Phrozen has been super solid for me. i'll find out this week.

I hope Elagoo come up with 4K DLP Saturn Ultra with a bulid volume 192*108*180 and pixel size of 50 micron. What do you think, would you be interested? My only concern is the life of the LCD screen, theoritically it is 2000 hours but it starts degrading after about 1000 hours usage. Considering DLP with over 10 times the life of an mono LCD, I think it would be a more feasible solution. Regarding the screen protector, how about instaling double nFEP sheets to the vat tank, so that even if one leaks the other still protects further leakage on to the machine.

How's the size compared to the phrozen mighty 8k?

when printing don't drop anything on lcd screen its fragile had to get another one shipped from china replacing it was time consuming i put a wham bam flex plate on mine had to flash firmware Z offset
